The people are generally very nice. Of course theres always a few who just dont care. The facility is nice but unfortunately they are just under staffed and they just have way too many strict rules.

Some of the nurses are rude and they need to get better. I hate this hospital

This hospital is horrible!!! Hopefully I will never ever have to return here. God forbid if you have an emergency youd better pray someone even answer the call bell and thats even if the give it to you. I had to disconnect myself just to go to the bathroom.

I am 81 years old and have been in hospitals in 3rd world countries that only provided very basic care that were better than Mercy Hospital

My experience at this hospital was wonderful. From the moment I walked I the door I didn’t have to wait which was wonderful and went to Triage immediately. My nurse Patrick (not sure if his last name) was so sweet to me and really reassured me about my condition, as I was coming in for COVID-19 symptoms. He explained everything they were doing so well and really made me feel at ease. Even the radiologist Michael was amazing and talked me through the whole experience. I can’t say enough good things about the ER here and I’m so grateful I was able to get quality care. 💙

Lady at the registration desk for emergencies was so rude I left right back out….

Great place for gunshot wound care came here with 2 bullets lodged in my leg the dr. Took great care removing them only a slight limp now

Great third floor urgent/critical care doctors and nurses. During my stay with my sister, the patient, they made me feel like a human being not an object. Some of the doctors are amazing. One female doctor acknowledge that my sister was responsive by speaking loud enough for my sister to hear and my sister responded by squeezing the docs. hand. She was alsome! They also have some of the best skilled nurses that I have ever seen. They provided excellent care for my sister and valued my concerns. The nurses made me comfortable and were eager to answer any question that I had. There wasnt a bad nurse in the bunch. Those nurses..... and that doctor, God must have a special in heaven for them. Thanks so much guys, great job. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!😚😚😚😚😚😍😍😍😍

This hospital is old but clean. The staff was friendly and professional and happy. The guard at the door walked me to my appointment location. The smell of food cooking in the cafeteria was in the air. I had a nice visit.

On 7/9/2020took my mother for a doctors visit, trying to make our way back to where we entered, got lost went off the wrong floor which was MEDICAL BUILDING around 1:45pm or so ... STAFF WAS RUDE, the lady was so hostile and could of said it nicely that we were not allowed to exit this way. It obvious we did not see the sign...Gets even better ... Seemed like she was bothered because she had to get off her seat to walk& talk to us. While she walked away she kept on making RUDE COMMENTS. As we wait for the elevator, She went back to her desk talking to her co-worker about us out loud...must be nice to sit there and talk about visitors, so much for any manners or professionalism. As if she didnt think we understood any english on what she was saying.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you want a good hospital go to Pennsylvania Hospital or really any in Philly as we have such wonderful hospitals in the area. This is not one of them! I can’t believe they even allow it to be open! 100% Not professional. They don’t even know how to put in an IV. Not friendly or helpful. When needing a bedpan they handed it to us rather than caring for their patient as is their job? Right? When my mother in law had to go to the bathroom the one “nurse” went out in the hallway spraying and making faces. It’s definitely a place to go to die, don’t take a loved one there! Tons of cops there and no one knowing anything of what to do. We transferred my mother in law after getting there via ambulance not having a choice but wait to morning and Even stayed with her because we didn’t trust the people who worked there. Hands down it’s embarrassing to call it a hospital.

Do not go to this hospital for ANY REASON, they will not help you at all, I went due to me having breathing issues and light headedness. They gave me a ekg and had me open my mouth to see if I was dehydrated.. then they said nothing was wrong and discharged me. I then went to lankenau hospital and the gave me a ekg and it found a blockage in my lungs, and they put me on a iv because they said I was dehydrated and gave me a coronavirus test... It seemed like mercy hospital do not care anything about BLACK Lives, the doctor there was incompetent and either didnt have the knowledge to answer my questions or didnt want to..

I came to this hospital for a severe headache I was experiencing, the doctor told one of the nurses to put raglan in my IV bag. I started convulsing and my heartbeat was beating extremely fast. I screamed at the nurse to take it out and she did but the doctor didnt seem to care. I asked the nurse if she knew what was in the syringe she said no. If yall dont know raglan is medicine for diabetics not for headaches. I feel as though that doctor wanted me to die silently.

I had to go to the E R to be checked out and receive sutures to close a head wound that was the result of a work injury.Everyone was very prompt, professional and caring. I was in and out in about 40 minutes.A special Thank you to the doctor, I believe her name is Maria in “Fast track “and the triage team for the prompt and caring treatment.I’m not sure why the reviews for this hospital are not all 5 stars, but I can say that “I’ve always received 5 star treatment “ at any of the Hospitals of the University of Penn that I’ve gone to for help!

I would give zero stars if google allowed it. Worst hospital experience of my life. I would rather die on the street than go back there. It is a miracle they have not been sued out of existence. My physician needs to have her medical license revoked.

2016...Only a few had professionalism within this hospital totally a thumbs down to the fact that they only visit a patient on hourly bases and seem to not do much, dont allow children or babies to see their love ones...they need to make better changes.Our family had an unpleasant time visiting our love one here. Was here from 113o till 507 they never got my iv in to start my vancomycin the whole time...worst Dr too said he would restart my iv never did. This hospital is a joke!!!

The doctors are the worse. He diagnosed me something I do not have and I think that the doctors there just barely passed the bar and could not go nowhere else so sad. The security is yhe worse if I would see one on the street I know that I would take it to them. Some of them are bice but most I wont. Some of the nurses was nice and I wish them the best but the rest can honestly go to hell.

Ive been seen in the ER two times and never had any problems. The nurses understood that I was having difficulty and was extremely nervous and helped all they could. The Doctors seen listened, answered any questions I had, and saw that any medication I needed was given promptly. I dont understand why people say they have difficulty. Maybe its the patient and not the staff that is difficult.

I go here quite often for flares and such. They always give me decent treatment. The ER wait time is extremely quick compared to at least 4 other.🏨

Only ONLY reason why I gave them a 3, my daughters finger was swollen. She was wearing her late grandmothers 💍 ring and her finger swelled. We were in Fast Trak and honestly they did a good job! They worked very hard to remove that it. Cant lie!

Dorothy, the patient care taker on the 6th floor was by far one of the best people to ever take care of my mother. She was attentive, caring and patient. Thank you, Dorothy!!!

The emergency departement is horrible im sitting in the hallway in a bed been here for 2hours supposed to be in a room nobody is checking on me everyone is just walking pass mean while im in pain this is so unprofessional

My nephew died at this hospital the same day of arrival . They are unable to handle emergency situations properly Mercy hospital has the most untrained staff in history. They have a long record of unprofessional care. They service mainly African American neighborhood. Please avoid this hospital at all cost.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This is the absolute worst hospital in Philadelphia! The staff is rude beyond all matters. The nurse told me that we called too many times because they couldn’t answer a yes or no question!

I was in the crisis center. Me, along with at least 5 other people, were there for over 12 hours, waiting and being told continuously by the staff that we wouldn’t be getting any updates. On a Saturday, they had one nurse and one doctor. If you tried asking for one of your belongings, they would slam the door in your face. Additionally...as I was in intake, the nurse told me that I “wasnt REALLY suicidal” and that my feelings were essentially nothing, then blamed me for it and said it was because I wasn’t doing anything for myself. She said it was my fault that I was feeling that way, that I wasnt trying to help or better myself. I explained that I came to the crisis center/hospital in hopes of going through treatment and helping myself, and she said that isn’t how things work around here and it’s entirely on me. She said that they can’t help.Over the phone, they stated to the officers that took me that they had beds. Upon arrival, there were no beds, we were all put in plastic chairs with thin blankets in a brightly lit room. No food if asked, no drinks, nothing. Try to get help from the staff and they’ll ignore you or say they’re going on break.Absolutely unprofessional, the conditions were inhumane, and there was NO compassion for the people who came in seeking help.Disgusting. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Can’t get a number to talk to patient’s doctor or nurse. This hospital provides little too no services for helping family members of the patient gain more information about their loved ones medical state.

Im actually still hear but I already have prescriptions in hand and I have only been here for 20 min with an athsma attack.I explained that I have an 8:30 appointment thats important and the staff was very helpful. Very happy

Mercy Hospital is horrible...the staff are the worst...Never no whats going on especially the nurses ,they are not helpful or informative and they wait hours to check on you... you could of had a slip and fall, seizure anything they wouldnt no.... i dont care if this is the closest Hospital near you dont come here...I thought the MA was a person off the street coming in my room she looked crazy...

A very shamefull Hospital. Recently I went there twice because my doctor gave me a referral.. the first time I went to get an X-ray for my hand, and the second one is for my eye, I am a deaf person, I can communicate with people with sign language and writing, 3 days before my appointment I asked them to provide a sign language interpreter but when I went on my appointment there was no sign language interpreter when I asked why they said its not our responsibility, when I asked what should I do they said we will bring a sign language interpreter next week so come came then. When I went there again there was no sign language interpreter. When I said lets communicate by writing they refused to do so. When I went to the law enforcement they gave me many different numbers to talk to and they said we will investigate the matter and call you but they didnt. When I went there and asked them... The Man who is responsible for the problem is not an employee... They said that he told them when he asked me to communicate with a advice I refused to but it was a lie when I told them it was a lie they kept quiet. When I try to identify the identity of the man and asked the information desk to his office no body was co-operative with it, the man has no batch on him too when I asked him his name he refused to give it to me. They said they were gonna send an X-ray CD of my hand but they didnt. When I went to my doctor on my appointment they said we didnt get it and told me to bring it from there. I got an appointment with the doctor after I went and get the X-ray CD. But when the doctor opened it to check it she told me it was empty. I am so sad, I didnt go to the law enforcement... Its so shamefull and sad.

The scheduling department is polite, respectful and kind with a well trained voice. So delightful and courteous.

It is now April 2015 and this hospital is still the worst by far. I recently went there again to the emergency room and some of the staff are very lazy, have and attitude as if they dont wanna be there, unprofessional, and even rough with you as a patient. When I was there on April 20th 2015 I had to ask for another nurse because the one I had was like how I just described. Even when I requested another nurse she had even more of an attitude. I got another nurse who was more professional and not rude So their are still some who do their job without having an attitude but dammit man there are some staff at this hospital that really dont need the responsibility to care for other people. If youre able, stay away from this hospital!!!

Terrible hospital!!! They didnt put my sisters IV in the right way. The nurses take a very long time to respond to their patients and you can barely understand what theyre saying. A lot of those nurses dont know what their doing. The staff is rude. They stand right in front of the patients rooms and talk very loudly.

This hospital is horrible!!!! The staff is terrible horrible attitudes and the worst bed side manners I’ve ever seen in my life!!!!! The custodian aka the janitor on the 3rd and 5 th floor are rude !!! I hate everybody here. They have no concerns over the patients and just stinking attitudes do your jobs without the attitude.

This place is trash. Their customer service is trash, especially over the phone. No one knows anything, that is if they even bother to answer the phone. Its like phone tag all day long. Dont even want to get started on their terrible service, if for whatever reason you have to visit.

I’ve been here for 2 hours now in excruciating pain with a fever an hour and a half ago I was given Tylenol. Still crying, in pain, with a nurse who doesn’t speak English and a doctor who is rude. Never again!

After hearing all the bad reviews I was skeptical coming here . But the treatment i received was very good my doctor my nurses were very helpful. I didn’t have a long wait long . I have to say I was very please with my services .

When I call in for the process of a crisis and this man on the phone had the nerve to tell me i have no business coming there and he dont care what happens because hes going home in 30 minutes? Seriously. That is how family members are treated of the sick. I cant imagine how they treat those having crisis problems. This is insane to me. Im disgusted. And to the man on the phone I hope you never have to feel what its like to have no help when youre losing someone you love to the battle on the streets.

Have you seen the new E.R.? Its beautiful. LOVELY touch Mercy Hospital. Hey I wouldnt mind getting hurt and coming here now.The toilet paper is designed to tear every inch or two.How convenient for people who really have to use the bathroom.Also I was in and out in about 45 mins. If that wasnt fast enough I dont know what is.

Not happy with this facility at the moment my mom was admitted yesterday 2/7/18 she sat in the hallway of the ER for at least 8 hours with an open would infection on her foot they gave her pain meds to ease her troubles however her bandage was not addressed until she was admitted in her room about 11:33pm. My reason for being anquish is that she cannont walk to the restroom so I requested her to have a commode in her room....They honoured that with a DIRTY commonde....I just wish people would treat other individuals like they would want to be treated...Society is so messed up...I really thought we have evolved from this point. Hopefully when I get to the hospital this evening no one has to feel my rath....VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MERCY HEALTH...My hospital is better going to have her transferred.....SMMH (MERCY HEALTH SYSTEMS) A JOKE IN THE HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY....

The receptionist is really rude, and i got no help with finding out any info on my brother who was admitted in that hospital a couple of days ago. My name is on alot of his paper work and I was still told from the rude and ignorant receptionist that my mother is the only one who can find out any info on my brother. I didnt even want to give them 1 star...

I went there for acute kidney failure and they were only worried about my bladder and getting a cather in after I said it hurts mto stop I dont want it. The staff sucks a lady with long sharp finger nails tried to go in my stuff when I told her her nails hurt. I have pcos I went in with stomach pains they gave me Dilaudid and discharged me I snapped like how? That drug made it worst i was nauseous but left anyway they dont care!! straight to lankenau hospital I went where they found kidney stones I had to get surgery. was there 3 days.. On my death bed I wont step foot in Mercy hospital again.. Dont do it!!!!
