Mr. Filippone came recommended by a family friend who said they did good work. I was not disappointed. My elderly parents needed a new dedicated line for their washer and dryer and I hoped to have their electrical system looked over because I knew it was outdated. Mr. Filippone sent out a member from his team and conducted a thorough examination of the issue and the electrical panel. We ended up getting the dedicated line, an upgraded electrical panel and a few additional outlets in the house. His estimate for the scope of work was really reasonable and Al answered all my questions and explained what was needed throughout the entire process. His crew was always courteous and cleaned up after themselves. The best part is that it also did not take a long time to complete. My parents and I were really pleased with the work and I could breathe a sigh of relief knowing that my parents home was functioning with a safer electrical system. I called Al on short notice after normal working hours and not only did he answer my call, he came right out the next morning to fix my electrical situation. His was in and out. Filippone Electric was great providing their services. Mark, the contractor, was there a total of two and a half days to complete the requested work (outlet swapping and wiring updating, light fixture installations, and repairing an electrical wall heater), which was done thoroughly. He also audited a few other items that I didnt request but were pretty dangerous which he redid more safely, some work a horrible contractor left on my hands. I am happy they caught the items to have them fixed later, which they came back for as well. They were very careful in terms of reducing any damage (holes in the wall, etc.) from the installation of lights. Filippone Electric was also upfront with the cost of the job and supplies, something Ive found very difficult for some reason for contractors to do. It was surprisingly refreshing to get a direct answer and quote. They were so good, we used them to repair are walls also (another project another contractor left us with). Id highly recommend this local contractor. Honest and you know what youre paying for, and why. Great folks and well be using again!

I renovated my house in Graduate Hospital and needed a complete electrical rewiring. I got several offers and Als was the best one. His worker (Douglas) came the day after and worked continuously until the work was done. Al himself was very good in communicating the work and suggesting any necessary changes while being honest about what things werent truly mandatory as other contractors had misled us to believe. I recently hired Filippone Electric to remove and replace all the century-old knob and tube wiring in my 3-story row home in South Philadelphia. I could not have asked for a better experience. The nature of the job itself was daunting, but the owner Al and his crew Mark and Fletch made the entire process much easier (and CHEAPER) than expected. Al helped me by providing advice and suggestions throughout each phase of the project, from the type of materials that should be used to the placement of new fixtures and outlets. Mark and Fletch did a beautiful job re-wiring my entire home, from the third floor ceiling fans to the basement circuit breaker. Everything was installed up-to-code, and most importantly, everything works! The job was very intrusive to the structure of my home, but Mark and Fletch did a great job cleaning up as they worked each day. The crew was always on time and worked under my allotted time constraints to get the job done. After working with the guys from Filippone electric for almost a month’s time, these guys are like family. I awoke one morning and when I turned on the kitchen lights they flickered and the switch sparked. I knew I needed an electrician. We have a plumber, but no electrician. I found the name of Filippone Electric in a local newspaper and telephoned them. I was unaware of it at the time, but I spoke to Mr. Filippone himself and he said that someone would be out to the house that day. We eat dinner early in my house, and when no one arrived by 3:00 P.M. and it was starting to get dark I worried. So I made dinner for my father and he ate at the regular time of 4:30 P.M. but still no electrician. I called Mr. Filippone and he was very apologetic: he even offered to come to the house himself that evening. However I told him that I could go one night in the dark. Bright and early the next morning a young man arrived (his name escapes me). Not only was he a highly competent electrician, but he was also very congenial. We also had him correct another problem ( a dysfunctional dimmer switch). This was back in May of 2016 and we have had no problems since. I have not had many opportunities to use electricians in the past, so I have nothing which to compare to this event. I can only say that it seemed like the price was very reasonable. And there is one other thing. We have had many contractors in our home over the years. And none of them ever did what Mr. Filippone did several months later. One day he simply called to more or less say Hello and no one ever did this before. I think they place a lot of emphasis on not only quality work but good customer relations. Al sent Rich out to have a look at our flickering lights. He was really nice and fun. In between doing the job he gave good conversation and insight onto what he was doing. I had scheduled the day before to have someone else do the work and even gave them $400 up front. After Rich looked over our bill he said they had overpriced us for irrelevant work. My handyman neighbor said the same thing after showing him the other guys bill so I trusted Rich knew what he was talking about. I then chose to cancel on them and have Rich do more work (for less than half of the other guy). He did it well and was even finished within 2 and a half hours. I recommend them as they do as much as possible to accommodate customers and are overall pretty convivial people.
