I use to love coming to this dentist however, after my recent experience I do not plan on returning. I scheduled an appointment because my gum was swollen. The dentist saw me and said I needed a deep cleaning as well as a fill in. I was told the fill in could be completed that day however, I would have to schedule another appointment for the deep cleaning. There was no availability until November. I then asked the dentist what should I do about my swollen gum in the mean in the meantime, I was told nothing can be done until the deep cleaning takes place. I wasnt given an oral rinse or anything. I would have swollen gums until the deep cleaning occurred. Then I was told the deep cleaning would cost $500 !!! Personally, I feel this was unethical and wasnt helped at all. I went to another dentist the following week and was told something totally different. At this point I really think this place is money hungry and wants to get whatever they can. I use to love this dentist office but since theyve been in there new fancy office things have changed drastically!

The moment the elevator doors open, the waiting room was inviting, fresh, clean & Illuminating. The male medical assist. was friendly and attentive making sure I was comfortable with the procedure of filling out the information. Everyone staff person in the back that I encountered was very efficient In doing their Individual parts. My Dr. Juan Cabrera, assured me that I was going to be all right and his assistant in the room with us did the same. I am and was very satisfied...I recommend this establishment. It did exceed my expectations.

The experience was amazing I have been in pain for two weeks now and I can’t say how much relief it’s brought me. The front desk staff were so accommodating. The office aesthetic is beautiful everyone is professional and the attire signified how put together the staff is. Dr Juan his assistant ,Angel and staff who handled billing were all excellent and provided exceptional service. This was a last minute decision to come here but I’m so glad I did!. My procedure was extremely quick but all my questions and concerns were answered. This practice is exceptional I may have to return just for routine work !

I first came when I chipped a tooth a day before a vacation. They got me in the next day 3 hours before my flight and I’ve been coming back ever since for basic maintenance and cleaning. Always attentive and treat me with care. My hygienist walks through every step and coaches me on how to maintain healthy teeth. The hours are very convenient. They also make sure I’m aware of any additional charges BEFORE they complete the procedure. All around great practice.

My experience was awesome.. Great staff.. Very attentive to your needs and the level of comfort was the best Ive ever had in dentistry. My previous extraction at a different facility took about 2 hours in total.. At CCED i was in the chair for maybe 20 minutes tops!. Just perfect

Incredibly beautiful office. The cleanest and most modern dentist office Ive ever been to. Nice music throughout the rooms and hallways. Also very nice staff. My dental hygienist Karen taught me about what she was checking for and things I could keep an eye on at home. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Paint the picture of a perfect place only to drop a whopper of debt on you after scans of your dental health.

I understand that dentistry is expensive but if someone needs an “emergency” fill in, they don’t have money to be going around paying thousands of dollars for a treatment plan. If your business says “emergency” then it should be “emergency “. I came in, paid a 200$ consultant fee, just for the orthodontist to give me a treatment plan, tell me that she won’t do the fill in because the chance the fill in might “come out” for my chipped tooth. My chip tooth was an emergency and she act like it was fine. So in the end, she didn’t care to fill in my tooth at my request. She rather have me spend thousands to pay for my treatment . N then refused to do a service that I needed. Paid a fee just for her to tell me no. Glad to spend my hard working money for no reason

I can’t speak more highly of this dentist. Not only did they see me the very same day I called, but they were extremely friendly and helpful. Such a wonderful practice. If I had more wisdom teeth to remove I’d go right back to them. Such kind and helpful staff!

Never going back to my old dentist lol. Karen was wonderful been awhile since a cleaning was very careful with my teeth. Definitely coming back to her again super friendly made me feel very welcomed into the dentist. Overall she was AMAZING! Not enough words to describe how satisfied I am with my visit.

My mother was really apprehensive at first about having to go to the dentist. But the receptionist was very welcoming, kind, understanding, and helpful. Ms. Dawn was friendly and wonderful and put my mothers fears to rest. Dr. Katana was lovely, honest, and down to earth. My mother is thankful that Dr. K took extra time with her to explain the severity of her diagnosis. My mother expressed how happy she was with her overall consultation. I am appreciative of the staff for treating her with kindness and respect. She definitely wants I come back here for treatment and I now want to have dental work done at this location. I had to schedule an emergency appointment and to my surprise I was seen the very next day. The staff is awesome. Very professional and pleasant. Welcoming atmosphere. I’m looking to make this my go to spot for all of my future dental needs.

All of the staff was wonderful I had such anxiety getting my wisdom tooth out and it was an emergency because it cracked, they understood that and took great care of me and made me feel very comfortable I can’t thank them enough and their office was clean and upscale such a beautiful place. The best office I’ve ever been tooooo !!!!!!!! their assistants an the doctor there was wonderful.! but this one Assistant she was outstanding she talked me through the procedure before it even started 😂the best thing she said to me was Ms.Tyne your in the best of hands here I can promise you I have the greatest oral team & when we done you will say the same with huge smile an hand shake. My first visit with CCED was very pleasant. Staff were incredibly nice & professional! I have my next appointment in a few days for a procedure and I have full trust that everything will go great. They also make sure you know everything ahead of time so they can’t scare you with the outcome/price of things!

Center City Emergency Dentist did what needed to be done. From the atmosphere, to the check-in, to the customer service, right on down to the tooth extractions that I had done. I hadnt been to the dentist in awhile, so I was terrified, but CCED made the experience so easy for me. And the recovery process is going quite well. I have all that I need and Ill be back in two weeks. Id go on, but I think yall get it by now. 5 stars/highly recommended. S/o to ALL the staff and Dr. Juan Cabrera for taking good care of me! 🙏🏾

The office and environment looks and feels amazing. Very clean. Only hiccup I got was when I checked in. I had an appointment to be seen at 10:00am. Checked in at 9:30am.As I was waiting, I seen multiple people checked in and checked out. I was assuming maybe they were receiving minor work. I then asked what was the ETA for me to be seen and it turned out I was not logged as present when I was told I’m good to go and to be seated. Was a bit frustrating to arrive early and to be seen 3 hours later. However, once I was called in the staff was great and Dr. Cabrera was amazing. Great place.

My team was amazing. My hygienist was so gentle, I almost fell asleep during my procedure. I felt that they were extremely competent and their bedside manner was more than prime. Looking forward to my next visit.

In fact, after a long search, I succeeded in choosing a dental clinic, frankly, the best medical staff I have ever seen, with care and attention from the reception to going out to the door of the car, one night after my wife suffered from tooth pain, not a normal tooth, but a tooth under the gum. One of the most and most difficult problems is the presence of the tooth in the gums Horizontal, but after reaching the clinic, everything ended quickly and smoothly, all thanks and appreciation to the heroes (medical staff) I highly recommend visiting this center. In return, we did not have any insurance, but the prices were excellent for the care, thank you from the heart ❤️🤙

I was able to get a same-day appointment for an abscess when my usual dentist was unavailable. They send you the registration forms electronically so it saves you a ton of time. Once I got there, they took me back within five minutes and I saw the dentist less than two minutes later. Everyone was so friendly and professional and they really helped me out. The office is exceptionally clean and bright. I highly recommend this place.

I just moved back to town and had a filling fall out last night. They got me in the same day, were very professional and friendly, and fixed the issue beautifully! Can’t say enough good things about the office!!!

They are good and can get you an appointment very quickly. The staff is very nice and efficient. However, their prices are not affordable at all. So be prepared to pay more than you would normally pay for general dental work.

Tooth extraction went well. No complaints there. Great doctors. I’m trying to contact them for billing and insurance info now. Currently on my third call trying to talk with anyone.Story is, I had an emergency extraction on a Sunday. Apparently this place has no way of verifying any insurance on weekends. (sat-sun) My options where go somewhere else to be seen or pay out of pocket in full before being seen. I was in a lot of pain so whatever I just paid the total out of pocket (not cheap!) and was informed they would reimburse me when they could verify my insurance on Monday, the day after my extraction. It is now Thursday with no contact from them about verification of my insurance or any status. I’m currently on call number four and he finally takes my info after a 7 min hold (shortest hold time of the four calls) and just tells me he’s going to check with the “insurance team” and tells me to call him back in an hour.That’s where I’m leaving this review. I’ll try and update after I call back in an hour. I get they may be busy but this should really be a simple thing to get resolved. I definitely do not want to pay out of pocket when I have federal health and dental insurance that will easily cover the cost of a tooth extraction. I do not know why they couldn’t verify the insurance on a weekend, they couldn’t answer that. So if you must go to this place go on a weekday or risk paying out of pocket in full! I’m sure you can imagine the cost of any health or dental work. I’m out a lot of money right now and no answers.UPDATE:It has now been a month without any indication of a refund. They called me about a week ago and left a message saying they submitted the claim with my insurance, but I checked with my insurance and no claims as of yet. I’m still waiting on my reimbursement almost a month later. I’ll update if my insurance ever gets the info from this place. I don’t know if other people have this problem. I would love to know if anyone else has been through this. I even double checked if they accepted my insurance and every doctor (provider) that this place has working there is in my insurance network. I really don’t understand how it’s this hard to get the claim to my insurance. I would like my money back for this covered procedure already!

I am SO glad I listened to the person that said to view the reviews from lowest to highest first because had I not I would have been paying off a huge bill I can’t afford today.So let me actually start with how I attempted to make an appointment by calling this place 5 times. No answer even though they were open. I decided to make an appointment online anyway. I have a partially impacted wisdom tooth that had gotten infected and have a consult on Sept 3rd, however I felt I could not wait that long because of how much pain I was in. I made the appointment for today at 11:00am. Also another thing they mention on the website is how they take 150+ insurances, but have FAQs from people saying their insurance wasn’t in network with them after they said it was and now have to pay a big bill up front. They also provide a nonexistent “list” on the website. I still can’t find it anywhere. Unprofessional.I finally get a call yesterday from these people and they immediately ask for my insurance. I asked if they accepted it or not so I got put on hold. They come back and just start asking me other questions as if I didn’t asked if my insurance covers everything. They responded “it covers the visit”. However I’m not asking about the visit…I am asking for when they pull this damn tooth out. Very minimal information on the phone and asked what my problem was about 2-3 times. I hung up and felt uneasy about it so I attempted to cancel the appointment. I then called ANOTHER 5 times and sent a text message to them and never got any updates or answers. Now im reading these other reviews about billing issues. I am still not going and never again will I. Don’t come here.

This is a state of Art facility very impressive. Modern equipment and unmatched professionalism. My all time favorite Dentist is Doctor Tummillo. I have had a number of procedures in my life this doctor hands down keeps your pain to almost zero. I have used as a pin cushion by other dentist. The needles were worst then the procedure. Dr Tummillo will give you a whole new outlook on going to the Dentist. I am sure there are other great dentist there but I can only speak to my experience. Go CCED.

I had a cavity filled here with Dr. Tumillo. I got a same day appointment and it was the most comfortable, stress-free experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. The entire staff was kind, helpful, and seemed happy to be working there. Even at closing time on Friday. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

NOTE: I know there are a lot of good reviews, before you skip over this negative one please sort by low to high to see that several people have had the same experience with the x-rays & insistence on an expensive procedure, I wish I noticed this before going in!Update 9/24: FYI they are paying Yelp to remove reviews. Im a long-time Yelp user and just got an email that my review was flagged. Beware of this company and do not trust reviews.My fiance cracked a molar last night and is in a lot of pain, so I was happy to find a place we could get into this morning.The first red flag was that out the gate they charged $150 for unnecessary x-rays. They would not look at his tooth before doing this. I know this wasnt needed because I just had this same problem recently and it was taken care of by a good, caring dentist who talked to me and looked at the problem before even asking for payment, and x-rays were not part of the process for getting it fixed at any point.The dentist told him one option was to get a crown and that it would cost over $2000. He said it was also possible to just redo the filling, but he would not do that unless my fiance committed to the $2000+ for the crown in case there was more damage to the tooth during the filling process.When the dental assistant came in and told my fiance the exact fees and he said he could not afford that, she told him you can leave then so we did. They had absolutely no empathy for someone in pain who was in front of them trying to get help, they just wanted to get as much money out of him as possible. When it became clear they could not get thousands of dollars out of him on the spot they were done. My fiance begged him to at least do something temporary (and more affordable) to reduce the risk of infection over the weekend before we can get to a regular dentist, but be wouldnt. Again, the dentist said it COULD be done and my fiance was prepared to pay for it, but the dentist chose not to do it because my fiance would not commit to a separate charge of $2000+ on top of the cost of the filling just in case.Before all this, we waited an hour and the check-in process involved filling forms out on a tablet. When youre filling out the forms on the tablet, it autofills info from people who have used the same tablet before which seems like a serious security and confidentiality issue. Unclear if its a HIPAA violation but Ill be looking into it.Overall we wasted 2 hours and $150 and did not get anything out of it other than unneeded x-rays. Stay far away from this place. They draw you in with the convenience and openness to providing a quick appointment and when you get in everything looks very pretty and modern, but they do not provide services to back any of that up.

Horrible service. Set up a 9am weekend appointment on their website for a cleaning and check up. Their own web form allowed this. Despite that, they were unprepared, asked several times why I was coming for an appointment, had me fill out their patient intake forms multiple times both online and on paper due to “systems issues”, did not have me scheduled to be covered by their staff, and kept me waiting 45 minutes before even starting my visit, at which point they told me I might not be able to get a cleaning but they could do 18 x rays (which they knew they could bill to my insurance). Poorly run practice, with minimal patient focus. Maybe the staff are nice but clearly they as a practice are not set up for providing both good care and a good experience.

Such a waste of time. After a half hour form filling procedure & prior presentation of my insurance - which I called in advance to make sure my Delta dental insurance was accepted.I get here and now & Im told my insurance is not accepted. Honesty as a policy needs to be adopted here instead deception.

Ive been treated so good from my very first visit. Im sure I have many more to go. So far, so good!Had my second procedure yesterday. Everyone one of the workers are so kind they treat u like your one of them. I can’t remember the ladies name that worked with Dr Cabrera yesterday, 3/27, but she is so good at what she does. She makes me feel like I’m at home.Don’t know how much longer it will be but I think I’m almost done.

I had the most amazing experience here. I unknowingly had a wisdom tooth growing in and sought out CCED for a consultation. Upon X-Rays and consulting with the doctor, it was obvious I had to get it removed. They were thorough and transparent with me in answering all my questions about the process, payment, insurance, etc. The entire staff (from the check-in counter to the check-out counter) were patient about all of my questions as well. Julissa was the DDS assistant-she made me feel so comfortable leading up to and throughout the extraction. I was also extremely grateful I had Dr. Katina Nguyen perform my procedure because she was just so pleasant and supportive!I totally recommend going here for your dentistry needs. The whole experience was certainly a pleasant surprise.

The office is very clean and modern. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. My dentist hygienist Brittany was magnificent! She made me feel comfortable. Throughout my cleaning she kept asking me was I ok? How far we were and how much longer to go. It was a refreshing experience.

The doctor I had there was very unprofessional. I came because I had a filling fall off. Without even looking at my teeth (only from the X-ray, which I didn’t ask to get!!) she said I need a root canal, even though this was just a filling that fell off and I had no pain. She was extremely rude, not willing to listen and was very confident that there was no other choice.I went to get a second opinion, to find that I don’t need a root canal, and I got the filling done again.STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE!!!

Omg my daughter called me in pain due to a toothache. She was in so much pain that she couldnt do any research for herself so there she asked me to do so. I never heard of this place until I google emergency dentist near me for my daughter. This was the very first on the list so ofcourse I go to the review section. Reviews was good so we gave them a try. With fingers crossed. When I say my daughter was so so satisfied with her outcome I have to give them a try. Im way over due for dental work because its very very hard to find a dentist to make you feel comfortable and plus I have hypertension which makes it hard. But Im on it! When I called they confirmed my appointment and when I arrived at the day of appointment they say there is no appointment on your name . I had to fill all the forms and they made me wait. Even after past 90 mins of wait they don’t have any estimate time when they would call me.such a waste of my time going there. Worst experience ever. Would never go back there again!

The oral surgeon was very great. She got both wisdom teeth out in less than 5 minutes. I didn’t get put to sleep because I ate before going so she numbed the hell out of my mouth. The only reason I give 4 stars is because they gave me someone else’s prescription so I had to go all the way back to get mine.

Everyone here was great and explained everything including the payment very throughly. The last oral surgeon I went to told me my wisdom teeth weren’t even impacted, when all 4 were! I was so afraid going to the dentist for an emergency but the staff at center city emergency dentist made me feel comfortable and at ease I had to have surgery they were so nice and knowledgeable. I had a bad experience with my previous dentist so I was very nervous to go to another one. CCED staff members are professional, informative, and kind. Dr. Tummillo could tell I was nervous, and walked me through every step that was going to take place. Then, he had Dante come in and explain the finances, which I really appreciated. They explained what options were covered by insurance and what options werent before we began anything. Then, they showed me videos for each of my options so I knew exactly what was going to be done. I really appreciated their up-to-date equipment and the cleanliness of the facilities. I have now gone there 3/4 times over the past year and a half, and I continue to go for all routine care. I highly recommend Center City Emergency Dentist.

Had an awesome experience. I had an abscessed tooth that needed emergency extraction due to the amount of pain I was in. Called in at 9pm Thursday night and they had me in at 8 am the next day. Had 2 molars extracted due to both being infected. Everything from the check in process to going home was smooth. Dentist and techs all understanding and patient. I had a tooth pulled and they were very quick. Receptionist was very kind as well.

Worst experience EVER. Terrible patient service. A CLEANING FOR $650??My last visit here was pre-pandemic using my dental insurance. Since that time, this dentist decided to no longer participate in that insurance carriers network. But no one bothered to tell me that -- even though I was in their system already and made this appointment MONTHS ago. When I arrived this morning for my appointment, I was asked tocomplete a ton of forms....it took more than 15 minutes to complete even though they already had the same info in their files from my prior visit. The form was not pre-populated with any info. So I dutifully completed the forms. Then I waited...only to be told 10 minutes later that they were now considered out of network and so if I wanted to go ahead with the scheduled cleaning I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $650!

Went in for cavity that was too far gone I came in they instantly gave me a X-ray took me to a room showed me exactly what was wrong what needed to be done and how much it would cost very upfront and wonderful doctors and receptionist completely transparent with how much things cost and how much your insurance will cover HIGHLY RECOMMENDED will be coming back with my family and to get some cosmetic repair 🙌🏽💯

I was in pain for 3 days from an infected tooth and swollen face. Pacing the floor and calling all over the city. I was beginning to think that emergency dentistry was an urban myth. Not true! They really do exist. I called to inquire around 8 AM on Sunday. A very nice young man scheduled me for 10:30 AM. The office was immaculate and the staff were efficient, very kind, and extremely patient with me being in pain and cranky. I feel like a new person and very grateful that I found them.

I called them salty and in pain but they were patient and responsive. Had problem resolved within an hour. Nice office and accommodating staff. Not a fan of the doctor in general but this was very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

Quick, efficient & friendly. This is one of the best dental care experiences I have ever had. When I had an emergency, they got me in quickly. And when I went in for routine care, it went just as efficiently as the emergency visit and everyone was very pleasant.

Got me in same day for the consult and then scheduled the procedure for 3 days later (despite the holiday week!) The office was pristine, everyone was kind and professional, just an overall great experience.On top of this, Im incredibly grateful to them for being very understanding of my complete inability to handle needles like an adult so if you are anything like me, this is the place for you! They will make you feel very comfortable despite any fears and thats just phenomenal, thanks guys =)

This place is INCREDIBLE. After calling around and hearing that it would be impossible to get my brothers wisdom teeth pulled this month, CCED came through. Within 72 hours my brother was taken care of and recovering comfortably. Excellent staff, Doctors and manager. Fatima and Karen were so helpful, sweet and are truly amazing at their job. The entire experience was an 11/10. Highly recommend !!

This is by far the best dentist office. Super clean everything white and fresh looking. Staff members are excellent, your greeted as soon as you step off the elevator. Never a long wait, quick service in and out! They also have the most convenient hours weekdays and weekends. Location isnt the best for driving, super easy to hop a train or bus.
