Getting dental work obviously isnt fun, but the staff was amazing. I was so nervous but they made me feel so comfortable and everything went smooth. Thank you guys for all your help today 😊

Excellent service! Receptionist called ahead of time and reviewed pre surgery details. Morning of surgery, receptionist very helpful with me being a scared Mom of my 21 yr old getting wisdom teeth removed. Dr was sweet and very nice to my daughter. Surgery went well. Staff helped me to my car with my daughter and was so nice. Healing nicely and I’m very grateful for such excellent service.

Had to get a chipped tooth fixed and the staff was awesome, process was easy, painless and the dentist was very informative and was just an overall great experience.

I have been coming here for a few years due to the convenience of the location but I regret the wasted time. The dentist are replaced often with ones that are inexperienced. The front desk appears to have no idea what’s going on when asking to confirm appointments and if you are even 2 mins late you will be charged 100$… don’t bother calling because they never answer the phone. I called and watched it Ring while she moved paperwork around with no one in front of her. I don’t care for attitudes of the 3 receptionists but I do love the lady’s in the back that assist with ORTHO. If anything positive, it’s the lady’s in Ortho who care about your teeth and and very kind.

THEY are definitely all about money if its a procedure they are gonna suggest you get staff gossip my son heard lots of inappropriate conversations when getting teeth cleaned will not go back

Academy Dental offers quality dental care. I had 2 permanent bridges consisting of 8 teeth put in by Dr. Litman 15 years ago and not one problem with them since!Changes in jobs and moving to 2 different areas forced me to find new providers. I encountered some very scary offices that proved to be a huge mistake.It is now over 15 years later and my current dentist (Dr. Shawn Habakus in Douglassville Pa.) is also another quality provider! While working on my teeth, he stated whoever did the work on these two bridges used quality material and did an excellent job! I just smiled and told him who did the work.Thank you Academy Dental for giving me quality dental care!

THESE REVIEWS WERE SPOT ON! Even after reading the horrible reviews I tried calling and making an appointment giving benifit of the doubt. Well after waiting 15 mins on hold I was transferred to the voicemail. The phone rang, sounded like someone picked up but was placed on hold. After 15mins I was transferred to a voicemail. The fact no one even picked up and asked me to hold then to get transferred to a voicemail. I’m relieved I did not get an appt. here.

Never made it in this place! Thats a good move!! After the unprofessional calls with front desk, impatient, rude, no ideal whats going on/whos in the front desk. Never return my call, still waiting..... If I didnt feel comfortable with these calls I know for sure Im not going to feel any different inside that office. Wow, they hung up on me cancelling my appointment not to go to this office. You couldnt try to convince me to go to this place! They are like robots....yes, no, credit, debit, cash, goodbye, oh yeah dial tone........ sorry not for me!! Ill look elsewhere. Im pretty sure Ill fine my dream dental place. Until then, ouch!!

I didn’t even make an appointment here and can already tell I wouldn’t be comfortable. Was trying to find out if they take my insurance so the receptionist seemed helpful at first but when I couldn’t answer his questions fast enough he replied “well then I don’t know where to go with this conversation”. A simple “let me give you a list of things to find out and call me back” would have been sufficient. When I said thank you anyway he just said “bye”. Learn to have a bit more patience when working in customer service.

Have been trying to make an appointment to finish dental work for weeks now (temporary crown , this appointment is for the permenant crown) at this point Ill have to drive into the physical office to make an appointment and probably never come back.

They dont answer their phones.

Gentle, patient, professional, caring staff. Dental team always takes the time to ensure questions are asked/answered before work is scheduled and before they begin treatment. They understand personal anxiety while in the chair, apply no pressure to have work completed and at the same time are very available for emergency treatment. The front staff are incredible with making appointments (and rearranging them when my availability changes), calling, and billing. I have trusted them for over 15 years and will continue to recommend them highly.

I’ve been coming here for years. I come every six months for a cleaning. I recently asked my dentist for braces (personal choice) she set me up with a orthodontist and it went from there. I had my initial appointment and everything was fine. I now have braces and I got them right at this dentist. Same building. I didn’t have to go to another location. I now come back here every six weeks for tightening. I’ve never had any tooth issues such as cavities or root canals or anything so I can’t speak on that type of work. The staff is polite and friendly. I’ve never had any issues with this place so of course I’ll keep coming back.

This place is very irresponsible. Every time i go they are changing people at the front desk. There is never a set person that is dependable. No one ever knows what i am talking about. I had a visit and was supposed to get a crown. They were going to call me to let me know when the approval came in no one did. I called to follow up and no one knew what i was talking about. They took a message and no one ever called me back. I called my insurance the authorization was never submitted. Here i am still waiting. Never again will i go back to that place.

It was late on Thursday Afternoon (Just Before the long weekend) when I arrived at the Victoria Dental Academy in a lot of pain...The Staff could have said sorry but we cant help you without you booking an appointment ...Instead, after a bit of paperwork I was sitting in the Dentist Chair surrounded by help...After the Dentist reconstructed my Tooth I could not help but be impressed with the whole experience. When I left, it was only 35 minutes from the time I arrived...The best $225.00 I have spent in a long time!

I was told in order to keep my schedule appointment I had to permit them to keep my credit card information on file. Even thought I had dental insurance when I refused they cancel my appiontment. Staff not professional.

Hygieniests are nice and I’ve had good experiences but they are impossible to schedule with. When you go to your appointment they’re not scheduling for six months later and tell you to call three months later. Then you call three months later and you’ve somehow missed your window and have to go a month or two later. I asked about timing and when I should call and the receptionist basically said she doesn’t do scheduling and she wasn’t sure. If you have to reschedule, you’ll get pushed off months later and even if you ask them to call you if there are cancellations, they won’t follow up. Do they see everyone who lives in northeast Philly?! I don’t get it.

I love Academy Dental, the staff is very professional and helpful. A very clean and stress free facility. Special shout out to Mitch! Dr. Loftus,(oral surgeon) and his assistant Patty, are the best. I would highly recommend anyone with dental issues to go to this establishment.💖💖 Dr. Patricia Petit D.D.S. and her assistants, makes you feel very comfortable. Best dentist I ever had!

Be Careful with your insurances money is everything. I had insurance through my job when I went here thinking it was ok insurance. I haven’t been to a dentist in awhile and I was shocked when they told me I had no cavities. Don’t you know I switch insurances and went to another dentist and the lady told me I had 7 and they weren’t new ones either. I told her what insurance I had before and she was like oh that’s why they don’t get much from your visit so there not gonna tell you that smh. Having good insurance is everything.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They ruined my teeth - they did multiple fillings on me.I went to get one of my fillings fixed (one they put in less than a week before) and the dentist (a younger man) didnt believe that I could still feel them drilling. Instead of numbing me more, my dentist took the air hose and pumped air INTO THE OPEN HOLE IN MY TOOTH, I seen stars, and pain that sent me through the roof. Then IN THE MOST CONDESCENDING VOICE says to me did you feel that oneI got up to leave but they talked me down and I let them finish (after numbing me again) I went back for a follow up & they proceeded to tell me I needed 4 root canals - I refused to take their opinion. There was no way - I went to another office (where the service was amazing) got an evaluation and consultation & they told me I only need ONE root canal; however, every single filling that ACADEMY DENTAL did needs to be redone. I am so upset and angry about this. I have a huge fear and tons of anxiety due to my terrible experiences at Academy Dental, and now Im forced to endure it all over again for something they should have done right the first time. Please dont make the same mistake I did! They are not worth the pain!

The front desk staff are very lazy and irresponsible. They cheat the patient if they want to cancel the appointment.. One day doctor is not available and they want to cancel my appointment. I always take appointment late evening as we know that timings are not easily available, and i request for same time again so Jenifer told me i have to cancel my appointment first then she will call me till end of the day and give me appointment within 2 days. she has not call me back since 2 weeks...And manager mitch also very rude and unprofessional .

Horrible experience. Waited 3 months for an appointment, when the day comes, they made a mistake and couldnt see me. Then offered another appointment another 3 months later. Dont waste your time with these people like I did.

At first this place appeared to be nice, up to date, and friendly.... Boy was I wrong. If you have anxiety def dont go here. Even if you dont have it still dont go here.They are very unorganized and dont call you back.Than finally they call you the day before service to tell you to bring a bloat load of money to pay for your service thinking you have it laying around.Called to cancel my appointment and I had someone call me back saying someone canceled so they are moving my appointment.Duhhh i was the one that cancelled. The dr was very rude and didnt care. Just wanted to get his job done. The worst experience by far.
