Moxie Blue is hands down the best salon Ive ever been to. Ive had my hair cut and colored by several people now, and each one of them has been incredible. They listen, no, really listen to what youre looking to do and then actually have the expertise to make it a reality. I am always amazed at how professional and dedicated they are evey time I am there. They dont assume business as usual, every visit is like its my first time there. Thank you for being amazing!!!

The ONLY place I will get my hair cut, I travel about an hour to go here and it is worth it. I have never been disappointed. I go to Jeffrey and his talent is unparalleled. Beautiful interior, everyone is very friendly and accommodating.

Place is a fraudulent organization. Was selling Christmas gift cards days before Christmas and then closed their doors on 12/25. Anyone who bought a gift card lost their money. Additionally, representatives were trying to upsell for additional gift cards. My question is if your running a business you know your financial situation. Continuing to sell service out in the future is fraudulent and misleading and the owner should be embarrassed.I’ve reported them the better business bureau.

Johnny did an amazing job on my color and blowout. He gave me exactly what I wanted and I already got a ton of compliments! This salon is super clean and I was extremely happy with the whole experience. Definitely would recommend!

I have been at Moxie Blue a few times now since theyve opened covid-friendly. They take your temperature every time, ask you questions about your health and everyone is at least 6 away from each other at all times. I think they are doing an excellent job of keeping everyone safe.

I live in the neighborhood and this place is like no other ! I was set up with Corinne for a haircut and she was able to give me the best haircut and blow dry I have ever had. Their color bar is so high end looking, definitely a wow factor!

I was hesitant about getting a keratin treatment for a long time. Then I saw a special offer for the treatment at Moxie Blue and signed up for an appointment. Everything about my visit was easy and very pleasant. The salon sent me text message reminders about the appointment so I wasnt worrying I would miss it. The front desk greeted me nicely and offered me beverages. My hair specialist Valerie was absolutely sweet and wonderful - she explained all ins and outs about my keratin treatment and gave some useful recommendations about the post-treatment care. I felt relaxed and confident about my hair. Now I am waiting for my first hair wash to see the permanent result, but I am already a happy customer. Will be coming back!

I would NOT recommend this salon at all! If you have thick, naturally curly hair do not come here!! They will charge you extra to style your hair after a color (in my case the color alone was 250). If you do not pay for this blow dry/styling fee, you will leave the salon with your hair not styled and looking like a wet dog. So if youre ok with spending over 300 and over 3 hours in a salon in order to look half decent, then this is the salon for you. Otherwise, youre better off finding an establishment that knows how to deal with other hair types and more versed on styling curly hair.

Katelyn is great as usual. Shes been my stylist for almost 2 years and never disappoints. The only thing keeping this from being 5 Stars was my rinse/shampoo experience. I could tell the person was new and think she has a few kinks to work out before becoming an expert. Not a big deal but I got water in my eyes and down my face and I think once she masters that it will work out. I dont remember her name but hopefully you can provide feedback based on the day I was there. Thanks!

Olivia did a great job with my haircut and color! I left with exactly what I wanted. I had an appointment late in the afternoon and came in a little early, she took me right away. Would recommend coming here! I’ve been trying to re-book my glaze!

Love this hair salon. From the minute I walked in to the salon as a first time client, I was greeted in a friendly manner. Most salons dont even acknowledge you let alone be as attentive as everyone was to me. Rikki was awesome and took her time listening to my concerns as well as my likes and dislikes about the color and cut I wanted to achieve. I cant wait to return for my next appointment. Very professional environment! When I arrived they gave me a tour since it was my first time there and a glass of wine. My hair dresser was Val, she was so knowledgeable and really listened to what I wanted! Everyone there was super nice and my hair looked amazing :) Definitely going back!

New to the area and going through Chemo. Scheduled a shave and Johnny and his team made a emotional moment with my daughters a powerful statement. He allowed my daughters to participate in the first swipes and overall helped inspire me to rock this new look and help me as my hair returns. Johnny did the ultimate gesture and did not charge me- though I would gladly. My daughters and I will be back. Thanks for making this a priceless moment.

Saw Johnnie, did a fantastic job. Professional, courteous and convenient.

I would describe my haircut as a good one, clean lines and the people were nice. The one problem is that the lady cutting my hair ignored almost all of the requests I had. I had a few simple requests that I shared before she got started: 1. A 6 on the sides 2. Keep the bangs near the eyebrows and 3. No thinning scissors.The haircut started off pretty well, she kept to a six on the sides, gave me clean lines and then they washed my hair which was pleasant. When I sat back down she began with the scissors, taking off huge chunks of hair. I began to see that it was shorter than I wanted but I was willing to live with it. When I looked up again I realized that she had grabbed the thinning scissors and was going through all of my hair with the scissors, and by the time I had noticed it was too late to go back. The session ended with her putting product in my hair without even asking if I wanted it, which I didnt. All in all I will never be going back here again, and to all the guys I recommend you do not ever go here.

After quarantine my hair was in bad shape, but I had big dreams to take the dark regrowth and my blonde hair even blonder. I told Katelyn what I wanted and she went to work. I have never seen so many foils and a stylist work so efficiently! Even all my friends on FB & IG were impressed by her skills! I am loving my hair, my kids love my hair and my next appointment is already booked. As far as being Covid-19 safe, everyone wore masks 100% of the time, no drinks or food were allowed. The salon was far from overcrowded and each client/stylist had ample space between. I felt safe and comfortable. Thank you again Katelyn and the Moxie Blue staff 💙

We walked in off the street after seeing the website. The studio is in an excellent location for my visit to Philli.My only negative is the site advertises a tiered scale of skill and prices, __yet when I walked in the receptionist immediately scheduled me with the most expensive and highly ranked stylist. My friend then asked about the ranking and price. It then became clear what was happening_Bad policy as it is not aligned with site advertising.However there was a lovely stylist, Jade, also at the desk. I asked if I couldnt request her instead as she was clearly understanding what I was after. they were happy to do so and she did a great job! Personable, love the color and she really did only trim and follow my cut as asked. I highly recommend her!The studio atmosphere is also nice and all staff was very friendly!

I am so glad that I followed Rochelle to this location. Not only is the staff great (I mean, seriously, the owner of the salon stopped by to help roll my perm rods), but the vibe is so great-- a NON-SNOBBY SALON IN THE CITY... pretty much a revelation. Rochelle is fantastic, as all of her previous reviews from her last salon will tell you. I love my perm so much, and Im so glad I finally found a chill, real-person salon I like in the city.

This is a new salon so it is obviously immaculate and well designed. The staff are seasoned and well trained professionals. My stylist, Tim, was an absolute wizard. I showed him a couple of pictures and we talked a bit about what I was looking for. He totally understood my requests and my hair cut and color both turned out better than I could have hoped. He put extra effort into the style and even showed me some techniques to use everyday. I will definitely be back and will recommend Tim and Moxie Blue to anyone who will listen!

I have been with Moxie Blue since the beginning in Marlton and with the owner since 1998. To this very day I have never been disappointed! I never had to fix my hair later. I would invite everybody to try out Moxie Blue, whether hair, make-up, nails, etc. Moxie is amazing.

I was in Philly for my sons wedding this past weekend. After reading reviews and reward accomplishments online, I chose Moxie Blue Salon in Philadelphia to complete the look and style I wanted for this wedding.When I arrived, the first thing that I noticed was this beautiful salon and was welcomed by not only the receptionist but the owner Danny who was to do my hair. He was attentive and listened to what my vision was and begin working immediately to achieve it. His wife Licha (enjoys doing special event hair and was not due to work that day) then took over and went to work. In no time not only was my vision and expectation met, but actually exceeded. My hair was a hit at the wedding, stayed in all day into the night and looked fantastic. I received complement after complement by not only our wedding guest but from passerbys in the lobby.I cant say enough about this fantastic salon and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for quality work, exceptional customer service and wonderful stylists! Being a blue collar construction worker i kinda felt out of place because of the other clients there. But everyone that worked there was professional and kind. Everyone from the receptionist, to Ricki who did an Amazing job on my hair, to Mackenzie doing my eyebrows. Deff will be going back again !

I Love this Salon!!! Jade does my color and cut and has exceeded my expectations each time!! I always walk out of this Salon feeling like a star.My daughter got married last Friday and Jade created an amazing updo for me. I got tons of compliments on my hair. And Corinne did my makeup with lashes and I felt amazing when I looked in the mirror. I was the first client of the day (7:30am) and was concerned about my “look” lasting all day. The reception didn’t start until 6:00 pm. Jade and Corinne assured me I would look as good at 6:00 pm as I did at the beginning of the day. And I did!!!!!I can’t thank these two young women enough for transforming me into the vision I see in the pictures from the wedding!!! I felt like Grace Kelly! So now you know I’m in my 50s. This is the best Salon. Oh and Rikki did an amazing job cutting my husbands hair for the wedding as well!! All around fantastic talented staff.Do not hesitate to try them out.
