If I could give this place no stars I would. The staff is rude.. they are understaffed. The care provided is subpar. If you have loved ones and you are looking for a rehab or nursing home this isnt it. They are taking advantage of the elderly, it is terrible to see.

Their independent living is okay if you like paying twice what it would cost in an apartment in exchange for access to a mediocre cafeteria and a handful of activities. Assisted living is decent but it doesnt offer much assistance. Entering either one puts you at risk of ending up in their skilled nursing facility where youll sit in a wheelchair in a closet sized shared room waiting for death while they vacuum up your assets to the tune of $15,000/month or more. Youll get wheeled into the TV room to stare at basic cable between meals. This place does the bare minimum as long as its convenient for them and thats about it.

Can’t say enough about Wesley Enhanced living Burholme. They have done wonders for my sister. We were sold from the initial meeting with Jennifer Anderson. She told us both her parents were living there at some point. That just spoke volumes to us as a family looking for the best assisted living faculty. The staff are always so kind and super helpful. My sister is actually doing activities she has never done before such as gardening, making jewelry and sun catchers. My sister really enjoys all the activities they plan for their residents. There is always so much to do. They really attend to her every need. So if you are looking for assisted living for a loved one look no further. We now have the comfort and relief of knowing our sister is safe and very well cared for at all times. The Martin Family

We recently put dad in long term care at Wesley PennyPack Park after much debate with the Pandemic .. After seeing no cases we made the move . It’s only been three weeks but we must say they have been more than accommodating and patient with dad . He said everyone is friendly and nice to him. We get updates from the doctor , nurse and social worker. It’s been an adjustment for him but they go out of their way to make him happy. We feel he is being taken care of very well and look forward to when we can sit with him in the beautiful courtyard. I would definitely recommend Wesley to anyone . Rebecca, the administrator has been a huge help andAgnes and Tracey the head nurses are always trying to accommodate our requests. Thanks to everyone there!Linda and Ron

Due to COVID restrictions, we were not able to tour this facility before we placed my father-in-law in the Skilled Nursing Care at Pennypack Park. Unfortunately, he passed away last week. We were able to go into his room to say our goodbyes. Even during our grief, I was able to get a look at the room and what he had been living in. The room was filthy. The floors were dusty and had trash and plastic on them. The walls were scuffed up from years of furniture rubbing against them. The furniture itself was broken. The armoire had a broken drawer with a big chunk of wood missing and the headboard of the bed was splintered. It was very distressing to see the conditions that he had been living in, and without visitors being allowed, there was no way for us to have known what it was like. Even though the staff seemed nice enough, I would never recommend anyone to send a loved one here.

My parents moved into Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack in July 2017. My first contact at Wesley was Jennifer Anderson. She first met my brother and I. She was very friendly and welcoming, answering all of our questions and giving us a tour. She made what was a life altering decision a very smooth and seamless process. When it was time to bring my parents over, Jennifer met with our entire family and gave my parents a tour and again answered any and all questions from our family. And after giving my family a tour of the entire facility, she invited us all to have dinner in the dining room. After the decision was made that my parents were joining the Wesley community, Jennifer made sure everything went smooth with their move. Their new apartment was beautiful, freshly painted and newly carpeted. On moving day, when all of the work was done, we went down to the dining room for dinner. There were many people who came up to my parents and welcomed them to their new home. Everyone was overly friendly and welcoming, and they just loved that. And it made me comforted in knowing we made the right decision. My mom was more excited about the move than my dad, but he has sure come around. After being there now for six months, he is now on the resident council. When I now join them for dinner, I see how happy they are and how many friends they have made in their short time there.

The transition from Independent Care to Personal Care was very well organized by the staff. They took into account a lot more than I would have thought of, making my mom’s new environment as safe & accessible as possible. Jenn & Eileen have been fantastic throughout since day one. I’ve watched for almost a year how the staff interacts with the residents & their family, & I’ve always been pleased. If Wesley is a place you are considering for a loved one then this is your place.

I recently attended a networking meeting at Wesley Enhanced Living hosted by Jennifer Anderson . I was Very pleasantly surprised!!! Honestly , when I heard where is was going to be held I was a little concerned . Having been in many an “old age home “ my experience has been a distinct “vibe , smell & atmosphere “ Boy was I wrong ! This place was clean , well lite and very modern. The residence that we passed looked happy and well cared for and acknowledged by the staff . Speaking of the staff , compliments to the Chef !! The food was awesome and the servers top notch , I felt like I was at a top star restaurant. Kudos to everyone in involved in making my visit but more importantly our Seniors visit memorable! I would like to thank Jennifer Anderson for all of her assistance both prior to and following my fathers move from his apartment to Wesley. It was a difficult decision for my father to finally move out of his apartment and into Personal Care. Leading up to the move, we met several times with Jennifer. She was at all times gracious with her time, informative, and helpful. My father moved into Wesley in February 2019. Since then, we have all been very pleased with the quality of the staff and facility. My father has been enjoying Wesleys recreational activities and also his company and companionship with Wesleys other residents.

Personal Care (on 3rd fl) has been a good fit for my 90yr old Mother. The place fits her well and it has been a peace of mind knowing that she is being looked after. The Personal Care Supervisor, Eileen, goes out of her way to keep you informed and the moving transition, working with Jen Anderson, went smoothly. She is very informative and friendly.

Sales Manager Jennifer Anderson was always available to answer any questions and kept in constant contact with us, providing every option possible until we found just the right apartment for mom. Staff members have all been extremely friendly and accommodating and the residents have all been so warm and welcoming, making what can often be a difficult transition for seniors a much easier one. We just wanted to take the time to define our experience with Wesley Pennypack Park. Our Mom is 96 and we finally, after 5 years from the passing of Dad, talked her into moving from her Philadelphia home of 73 Years. We took her to two tours of Wesley and she liked both visits. Mom is extremely independent and loved the apartment with the washer/dryer on the same floor in the kitchen !!. She decided to make this change February, 2020. The family was delighted as she would have a safe environment with lots of new friends to share stories and meals with. She was so excited and was ready to move. Mom moved into her independent apartment March 4th, 2020. We got Mom partially settled in when the COVID 19 came to the USA. Shortly after, quarantines were put in place and Mom was on her own, or so we thought. Wesleys staff and personel have gone above and beyond to keep all residents safe and happy and that no one gets forgotten and most of all keeping healthy. Supplied with games and books to color, added additions to the menus, they have kept her spiritually in touch. Wesley Management has also been keeping the family updated constantly with what is happening. We can put our head on the pillow at night knowing Mom is safe. We talk with Mom daily. She lets us know that she gets a note with each meal updating whats happening in the community and how to follow the protocol to stay safe. Mom is really teachng us a lesson or two how we can make it through this unsettling time. She reminds us of the World Wars and the Depression. We are hoping that Mom will be able to really enjoy the pleasures that Wesley has to offer outside her apartment walls. Wesley is truly, in our opinion, a wonderful and compassionate facility as this pandemic is new to them as well. They have touched our lives and our Moms. We look forward to seeing her and personally thank each and every one at Wesley.

My mother moved to Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack about two months ago. She was apprehensive about leaving her home of 50 years but felt it might be time to move. The second night there she told us she was surprised how much like home it felt. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The residents made her feel welcome immediately. She has not expressed any regret about the move. She now has companionship, social activities and a beautiful apartment. Both my mother and I know this was the right move.

My mother is there and is satisfied so thats fine - my father-in-law is in assisted living - it depends on who is on duty - some of them have a very bad attitude - food is awful. Update: they pulled my father-in-law out of there after he developed a need to have softer food. Wesley put him in the most expensive setting. He shared an incredibly tiny room with someone he didnt know. He HATED having a room mate. They put him in BED all of the time. He couldnt have his own television nor could he use his scooter. PLUS the monthly cost was ridiculous. His family moved him to another facility which, at least for now, is less expensive and MUCH nicer. I would NEVER want my mother to have to out of independent living in this place.

My mother was in Personal Care in Wesley for about 5 yrs. She didn’t mind because Kim was taking care of residents. After Kim left staff went down hill. There were issues ie director waited til I was out of country to get my sister to get my mom placed somewhere else, among other things. But my biggest upset was when my mom was passing. Girl called from office to tell me to say that I needed to get my mother out of Skilled Nursing because Medicare wouldn’t pay anymore. And the last straw was when I was called in of my mother passing. My mother was not presentable. Her eyes were still open , her mouth open. You could tell she was gasping for air. What a nice thing for her grandchildren to see. For that is unacceptable . I never received an apology. Staff went into her room to get it ready for next person without notifying me. It wasn’t the end of month which my mother had paid for. And started moving things around. I went to nurses station and was told they needed room for the next person. Nurse/aide was rude and told me that they are human too. Nice, to try to fight a woman that just lost her mother. And said I never came around to see her. What?! From than on staff started to call my daughter bypassing my sister and I. I guess we were too hard to handle? My job is working with the kitchen I am a dietitian. I heard the staff talk about the kitchen when they didn’t think I was listening but what I heard was a disgrace. Besides that I feel bad. Once my mother was gone they never reached out. Maybe I would of felt differently. But I would never recommend Wesley. Here it is almost 3 yrs. and I see some admin. reached out to others to answer. But not me. Guess we were trouble? Tell the truth. Not everyone you see is a nurse. They go by Medicare rules. It states they don’t need all nurses only assistants. As long as they have 1. One time the director was the only nurse assigned to Personal Care.

I worked here for about 7 months and everything I’m saying is 10000% true and I have proof of everything. I and several other employees were being harassed by my supervisor and an “investigation” was supposedly being conducted by HR which never amounted to anything and nothing happened to him. I was late a few times and got suspended, I understand the policy so I wasn’t upset however after 2 months you’re supposed to start with a clean slate it’s stated in the employee handbook, so I wasn’t late for 3 months straight, didn’t even call out. I was working someone elses shift and I was 20 mins late my manager said it was okay so I didn’t think to much of it 2 days later I was still working shifts after the first shift I was about to start the 2nd and I was called into the office and fired for being late that 1 time in the past 3 months. This is a terrible place to work not to mention how they treat every employee like they’re replaceable and meaningless my manager literally told me in front of another employee that she “could’ve been fired me” I called HR the day I got fired and no response from anyone I even sent emails.

Our mother was at the facility for a short time. It was very understaffed. We tested the time it took for someone to answer the call bell at various times when we were there (because our mother said it took a long time for someone) and one time it took 45 minutes. Our mother was able to use the bathroom facilities, but needed help getting there and clearly 45 minutes is too long of a wait. We were also informed that she woke one night with a man standing in her room, but he left when she woke up. Our mother was of 100% sound mind. I would not recommend this facility.

I would not put my family member here for many reasons . If I could I’d give no Star’s I would. It use to be a wonderful place when Dari and John were in adminstration. Hell it was even listed a 5 star place to put your family member, as soon as Suzann was brought back again it went down hill, The CEOJeff Petti knows this and still does nothing about it.The administrator Suzanne is very Rude and talks down to you.I worked there 13 years and left due to the treatment of the residents and myself . They have no value in there long term employees. If anything they pushed out all the really good caring workers and treat them like dirt. It’s all about how much money they can get or save. I feel the reisendents don’t get what they deserve. The call lights go off and nursing will go in turn them off and walk away so they don’t show up in the call bell system. A resident will say i need to use the bathroom and they are told you have a diaper on go in in your diaper. What dignity do they have after that comment. I have seen a lot going on in Wesley at Pennypack and when it is brought up to the higher up’s it gets brushed under the carpet.
