Took my mom to Happy Ears to replace hearing aids she had lost. They were very professional and so helpful. In the past, my mom, even with hearing aids in, had a lot of trouble hearing. Well, not any more. Happy Ears assessed her properly, giving her the correct hearing aid for her needs, and now she can actually hear a conversation thats at a regular volume, and at a regular distance. They even followed up with her at her nursing home, so she didnt have to make the trip out during Covid. We are more than happy with the service, as well as the product received from Happy Ears.

I rate you a 5. After we moved here just over 6 years ago, one of my aids quit working. I think it was a tube. I called several hearing aid places and no one could see me for 6 weeks. Working at Frys in the customer service dept at that time, I couldnt wait 6 weeks. Happy Ears was able to get me in almost immediately.

I needed a hearing test and got one in just a few days. I was also sent to a specialist to see if I could benefit from surgery.

Approximately 9 months ago (mid 2020), I was experiencing symptoms of tinnitus. I sought out the services of Happy Ears and went through the typical screening protocol for hearing issues. As Dr. Dewsnup studied my history and looked at my test results, she advised me that I should attempt to go through the Veterans Administration for further assistance as it was likely my hearing loss was associated with my 20 year military career. Although I had doubts about qualifying, I followed through with her recommendation. To my surprise, I was approved and have Dr. Dewsnup to thank for my future care. Under no obligation to advise me of other options other than Happy Ears, her honesty, integrity and willingness to encourage me to seek care elsewhere had a great impact on my life. I can not say enough about the impression Happy Ears and Dr. Dewsnup made. For no other reason, her commitment to ethical care and business practices should be your deciding factor in seeking care with Happy Ears.

I love Dr Blaylock! She is always friendly, kind and caring. She will recommend an aid according to ones hearing loss but will never pressure a patient to buy the most expensive aid. She also gives follow-up appointments to ensure the aids are working to the patients satisfaction.I would definitely recommend Happy Ears Hearing Center..

After receiving a surprise bill from Happy Ears, we requesting a printed itemized statement breakdown of all services and payments they have received. Instead of being helpful or kind to address our needs we received instead, a nasty mean spirited letter addressed to our insurance carrier emailed to us, stated how unreasonable, and demanding we were in requesting this information. We are still requesting this Itemized statement and are continuing to receive defensive rudeness. Since October, there have been multiple promises that this information was sent in the mail and Happy Ears is no longer returning our calls.11/24 - Thank you, we have received the itemized statement today. For which was our one and only request.

Very caring and attentive staff! My 3yo was having a hard time warming up and Dakota did an amazing job getting her to feel comfortable. She made it a fun appointment that actually held my daughters attention! She is a wonderful person, who takes extra time with all of her patients, while maintaining a professional business.I have been going to her as an audiologist for years... I also realize that when I go to see her, I will sometimes have to wait. In life we have to wait for the wonderful things that touch our lives. She takes the old school approach of helping people until they are 100% satisfied. She takes the extra time to make you feel special. It is unfortunate that people don’t realize, that this is an added bonus to this practice. If you just wait patiently, you will probably make a friend for life with this person, I know I have.

Dr. Dewsnup recently referred one of her patients that is moving away from Arizona to our facility. During this process it was evident that Dr. Dewsnup genuinely cares about her patients and prides herself on providing unmatched services. As an audiologist myself, I understand that it is the service that makes an hearing care provider GREAT. Its clear from my experience and the reviews that Happy Ears receives, attention to detail in the service they provide is the standard of care and not an exception. I actually completed some of my schooling with Shanna and was impressed with her then and knew she was going to be an exceptional audiologist. This place changed my life forever! I came to happy hearing because I could no longer hear conversations with people especially my wife! Had hearing aids in the past but was never satisfied with them. I couldnt understand what people were saying even if I was two feet in front of them. Well I made an appointment for a hearing test and the results were not good. I had 16 percent in the right ear and 24 in the left ear. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup who conducted the test said that I would not benifit from regular hearing aids. She suggested Dr. Withiker of the AOC. Well I followed thru and finally had surgery and a Cochlear implant and the rest is history. Dr Dewsnup ordered my new hearing device thru Cochlear and Medicare will pay for the devices if you pass a qualified test that Medicare required and it cost $200.00 for this and it is out of your pocket. Well worth every penny.I am more than satisfied with Happy Hearing and recommend this to anyone needing to hear! Dont wait any longer.

I dont normally write reviews mostly due to time limitations, work, life, etc. however, I MUST say from the moment I walked for my appointment with Happy Ears, I was immediately impressed with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the office. How often do you get offered coffee and cookies at a doctors office? A couple of years ago, I saw a well known Doctor of Audiology located in downtown Phoenix. To say the least, it was exactly what I had expected. The office was in much need of cleaning and updating, somewhat dark and dingy. Not only did I feel as I was rushed through my appointment, the doctor gave me little information. Not so with Dr. Shanna Mortensen-Dewsnup. She has an extremely calming presence. She fully explained the results of my tests in a manner in which even I could understand. Never once did I feel rushed to leave so she could see her next patient. I am so very thankful that my friend recommended me. For those of you that are 40+ and in any way skeptical about your hearing issues - fear no more! Go to Happy Ears - you wont be disappointed!

I first purchased hearing aids in Missouri about 8 years ago. Went to an audiologist with a degree in audiology and was extremely happy. I found Happy Ears after moving to Sun City and couldnt be happier. Real audiologists who know what they are doing and care about their clients.

I had an amazing experience. The facility is wonderful and very welcoming. The staff was absolutely stellar. The Dr. was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable.Lately Ive been having a heard time hearing my wife. I thought I was losing my hearing. I made an appointment and filled out the new patient form. The form was very intuitive and user friendly. The hearing test is very comprehensive. Dr. Dewsnup provided the results immediately afterwards. I was happy to hear that my hearing is working normally. I surmised my inability to hear my wife clearly is selective hearing. :)Lastly, Happy Ears Hearing Center also offers hearing protection products for avid shooters. In the same visit they made a mold of my ears, sent them off to SoundGear, and within a week I received my new custom hearing protection.I highly recommend Happy Ears Hearing for all of your hearing needs.

The audiologist at happy ears is one of the nicest people Ive ever met my daughter needed hearing aids and I couldnt afford them someone gave her a donation of a pair of hearing aids and she gave them to my daughter and my daughters hair and so much better I thank God for her this is a good woman and a good doctor

I made an appoitment for my toddler 2 weeks ago and completed all forms, provided my insurance information and I get a call 2 hours before appoitment that they are out of network and I have to pay out of pocket for my appoitment. Why didnt someone let me know sooner they even confirmed my appoitment the day before. Some of us have to adjust our schedule and take a day off to come in for appoitments this is very unprofessional.

I suffered hearing loss in both ears due to multiple deployments and a lot of shooting during my career in federal law enforcement.After going to 4 different audiologists (all of whom where good), we found Dr. Dewsnup when we moved to AZ in 2015. WOW!! 10 plus on the 10 point scale!!!Cliff Note Assessment on the top 10:1. PROFESSIONAL: Diagnosed my unique hearing loss, taking time to dive deeper into the assessment than the 4 previous audiologists.2. PRODUCTS: Offered many options based on my abilities to understand technology and work with it. She sat me down and did a full diagnostic, discussing all the options available to assist with my lifestyle. I ended up with one that had blue tooth capability so I could hear phone conversations, the TV, and other hearing situations...directly through the hearing aids. This ended problems with adjusting things like the TV volume or phone volume between myself and other family members.3. FEDERAL WORKMANS COMPENSATION: She and her staff worked for months to navigate the claim to get the hearing aids covered by Workmans Compensation, working patiently and keeping me in the loop on the progress.4. COMPASSIONATE FAMILY COUNSELOR: Dr. Dewsnup encouraged me to bring in my wife to help her understand my hearing limitations, and how we could communicate better. Now I dont get in as much trouble when I say things like I didnt hear you ask me to do the dishes. Well, I still get in trouble, but it has helped both of us, knowing limitations on hearing.5. TEACHING/EDUCATING: Dr. Dewsup and her team explained and showed with recent studies, how our minds are always trying to communicate and how this could impact someones ability to hear if they wait too long to get hearing aids. I understood it as: If we wait too long, our minds might re-map a little as the mind tries to understand limited/distorted sound...and then when we get a hearing aid, we might have more difficulty as our mind tries to process what the new clearer sound is, because the mind has tried to process the distorted sound for so long.6. PASSIONATE: Dr. Dewsnup has a personal interest in hearing loss (her son has a significant hearing loss) and you can easily see she and her team are passionate about helping others. Diving deep into each unique hearing loss, they care and are passionate about helping improve quality of life.7. MULTI-GENERATIONAL: As my 84 year old father has lost some of his ability to hear...Dr. Dewsnup and her team helped him with his hearing loss. His comments to me after each of the 5 visits ended with something like: She is amazing. Or They really care. Or I cant believe how helpful they are. Everyone has noticed how dad has been communicating better, and has become more involved. Where before he was starting to withdraw because he could not understand conversations in noisy areas or on the phone, he now embraces those conversations and is much more involved in all aspects of life.8. SUPPORTIVE TEAMWORK: I have been to both office locations, and have dealt with most if not all of her team. All seem to reflect Dr. Dewsnups quality, compassion, and passionate care of patients. For example, during my last visit to the Surprise office, Mr. Schultz gave me my yearly assessment. After the examination, I explained I was still having a little problem with linking the hearing aids to a TV. He gave me a tutorial on how to do it, and said that if I still could had problems, he would come by my house and do it for me!!! Wow, what a team!9. LOCATIONS: 2 locations, both are good for us...but I would be willing to travel significant distance to get this quality of care. Clean, modern, top notch equipment, and quality coffee if you have to wait!10. ONLY COMPLAINT: My left arm is frequently sore after visiting them...that may be because I pinch it to see if I am dreaming;-)What a blessing it has been to be treated and cared for by Happy Ears!!
