Very nice clean quiet park. The dog park was great. The only problem we had was the extremely slow Internet. It made it very hard to stream a movie or get any work done. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again!
Good stop no complaints. Pads are gravel and level. Little cramped to the trailer next to you but not bad. Pet area is turf and well taken care of. Good stop for the night. Careful leaving the park as the turn is sharp and there is road damage right outside the entrance that could blow tires. But not the fault of the koa at all.
Our first time at a KOA ever. You guys set the standard really high. This place was the best little camping spot we could’ve asked for when we arrived in Pendleton last night. If your transiting through, or looking to stay a few days, I highly recommend Pendleton KOA Journey. Friendly people, nice tent spots, and clean restrooms/showers. Thank you! We will return!
It was a nice place to stay. We also had a flat tire and a couple older gentlemen who work there came and helped us out. They were very polite and very helpful. Thank so much.
Restrooms and showers very clean and rest of park maintained. My only complaint is 0 Wi-Fi and only Two bars with Verizon. Complained to the office our second day and they said they would look into it but it never changed so 0 internet for 2 days.
Friendly and helpful staff ,clean showers ,nice parking space for campers. Will stay again
We got the deluxe lot at the end of the park. Fire pit, patio furniture and barbecue. Definitely staying again.
Sweet little campground a bit tight for a bigger rigs. And they mention it because the park was built a long time ago. But doable. Seem like a lot of long-term campers in there but it was very clean. Staff nice and helpful. Check in was easy laundry room is clean. Had grass at all the sites, dog park, no pool. Wi-Fi was good it was quiet, easy access from highway. No highway noise which was nice. Would have given it a five except for some of the reasons above. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent, and very clean. Highly recommend for a days rest from driving.
What a park! My in laws had the pull through site in the end with a patio, gas fireplace, and lots of seating along the grass. After a long drive day, it was a wonderful place to sit and relax while the kids were able to play close by. Kana is just a gem and was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed doing parts of the charm trail the following morning. Would absolutely stay here in the future!
Only stayed for one night, but overall a really great experience. The staff was super friendly, wifi was fast and reliable, and the grounds were well kept. The dog park was closed which was a bummer, but they are putting in new grass - great to see continued investment in the property. Will definitely stay again next time I drive through Pendleton.
Sites are a little snug but park is clean, safe, and quiet (after my kids left anyway). Extremely well maintained. Small dog park and playground, very clean facilities. We stayed over 3 months in a 40 ft travel trailer. It’s not a vacation destination, but would make a great stop on the way somewhere or extended stay when working in the area.
The spaces were small and crammed together but it was doable for a night. What grinds my gears is when you fill out the reservation and click dogs they didnt put me near the dog park. My dogs were done before we got to the dog park since they put us in the farthest spot away from the dog park. Then when we drove there they told us we couldnt park there or face a $400 fine. Kids should be near the playground and dogs should be near kamp k-9. This isnt rocket science.
This park had a last minute opening for us on our treck home from Yellowstone to Oregon. We got a pull through site for our RV and it worked out beautifully. The showers were nice, secluded and open 24 hours. We were able to shower late when we arrived. The reservations were easy and we were able to get them from the board with easy directions to our site. This park is nicely off the freeway and has dog and kid friendly park areas to enjoy. Definitely recommend and would love to go back.
We only stayed at the park for one night, but the park was clean and quiet. The staff and owners were so helpful with an issue that we had. We could not get our slides in (the motor broke). They figured out what needed to be done and got in there and fixed it so that we could get on the road. Thanks so much for your help and expertise. You made a bad situation not so bad.
Great park, super helpful staff. As this is my first trip I try to get pull thrus but could only get a back in here. No problem. Jana, the park manager, sent someone to help me but he actually backed the unit in for me and then brought my 97 year old mom some brisket he had smoked that day. Wow! So appreciated! My Great Pyr loved being able to be off leash in the campground dog park. Bathrooms were spotless. Paved sites with beautiful views of the valley!
Nice location of the freeway with a decent view to the South. Stayed one night and used the hookups without issue. Freeway noise wasnt too much, bathrooms were clean, didnt interact with staff but they had our reservation out front.Pretty consistent as far as KOAs go.
Very nice, clean RV park with a great view of rolling hills and valleys. Level gravel sites with a picnic table for each, and each site has an outdoor night light at the end of each site. Nice little fenced dog park. We did not use the restrooms or showers. The cable was a little fuzzy, but we were just overnighting, so no big deal. Nice playground and a gas grill for RVers use. We would definitely recommend this KOA park.
Great stop over RV park for our 6 monthly trips to NW and back. Great view stalls for short term trnasients like us and good rates. Super clean u0026 quiet park, and very friendly managers.
Nice, clean facility, reasonable rates. Safe, security is very tight, can be a little overbearing.
Nice park but very tight spots, some better than others( weve been there several times), the last time was the tightest. We couldnt even park our car without crowding the steps or car under nose of 5er. Park is well maintained nice staff.
Very nice, large park. big rig friendly with long level cement pull thru. Grass area by each picnic table. Clean restrooms, laundry and nice hot showers. Super friendly staff highly reccommend!
We checked in so we could visit with family. A lot of park residents sitting around their trailers with grumpy faces, very unwelcoming. We werent there but maybe three hours with a fussy toddler who was screaming because he had been in a car seat for our long trip to get there when a knock on our trailer door was met by someone saying they had complaints about the screaming and Its not going to be a problem; is it? How rude of them and we wont be staying there again. Heading over to another RV park in town which looks nicer anyway.
This is the one!! Super sweet and helpful staff. Extremely clean and well kept sites, laundry and restrooms. Beautiful views on the back slots, mature shade trees in the middle. Great stay!!
Very quiet park. Very nice and helpful staff. There were lots of trees for shade. Clean restrooms and laundry. Nice recreation room. Good view of the valley below. Close to freeway.
We have enjoyed staying here for more than 20 years. One of the best campgrounds in the US. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The spaces are clean and well laid out. Great views too.
Well maintained and lovely campground with great views. We really liked the town and will likely come back. The koa staff here do an excellent job and we REALLY hated to leave. Congrats on a well-run operation. If you choose to stay at koa Pendleton, Im confident youll be pleased.
Great facility and very friendly staff. Got stuck in the winter storm and thankfully came across this KOA. The staff plowed our sites right away and were extremely helpful even with all the snow. Bathrooms were clean and hot showers felt amazing. Cant wait to try this KOA again under better weather conditions.
Great KOA. We loved it. Very clean, the hookups were functional and very easy to use. This was our favorite KOA on a journey back from Colorado.
Good RV park. Sites are VERY close together but the park is very clean and well maintained. Excellent laundry facilities. Restrooms/showers were immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were placed in a 50amp site but they had a 30amp loaner adapter for us.
The grounds were kept clean and the sites are very close together. I do not recommend this park if you have children. They do have a small playground which is nice. Other than that the kids were stuck in the trailer. They did not let them ride bikes or use chalk on the side walk. We all felt like any time we left the site we were approached by the staff. We all ended up leaving a staying somewhere else for the other 5 months (working out of town with a large group of rvs too).
Extremely quiet, very tidy, love the 24 hour laundry, $1.50 to wash and then again to dry. Does not have a change machine so if you dont have quarters youre out of luck after hours unless you drive to get change. Front bathrooms are a better bet as the middle ones only have 3 and they are shower/toilet combo so they stay very busy. A little walk to the front and the showers are separate so no waiting. The bathrooms were well taken care of and showers are Free.
Wonderful experience. We didnt have the correct conversion for our electric and I found one of the helpful gentlemen in a yellow shirt and he very quickly went to the office and got us one to borrow so we could hook up to the electric. Very nice!Clean grounds!
Stayed in the covered wagon, it had a privacy fence and its own yard with a gas fireplace. Super cute and extremely well maintained. Showers were nice and they even had a horseshoe pit nearby. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Quiet atmosphere and very clean campground.
Nice campground, very friendly staff. We arrived after hours, easily found a spot, enjoyed a good rest. When we stepped out of the camper, what a fantastic view stretched out before our eyes!
Very cramped. More of trailer park than an RV park. Mostly permanent residents living there that didn’t seem to care for the passers through. Which we were next too. In and out of their RV all night slamming the doors. Advertised WiFi is almost none existent. The have repeaters in the park but not plugged in. Passing by this place on our way home and would rather drive an extra five hours than stay again.
In the six months I have been here, many improvements have been made, including two deluxe sites with a view and a fence! Very private, not usual KOA. Must see to appreciate. The showers are cleaned daily. The park is always picked up. Laundry is inexpensive and showers are free. This is a nice out of the way place.
Friendly staff. Overnighted in a pull through, slightly unlevel but easily corrected. Clean and orderly KOA. Convenient to the Interstate and gas stations. Downtown is very close.
Loved it there had a long little yard patio and place for my dog to go potty and quiet and all the hookups was able to dump my trailer into there dump station worked out great very very nice people highly recommend it
This was a smaller KOA Journey. Staff was very pleasant on check in. They were offering a breakfast on Saturday and Sunday for $5 with a pretty decent menu. The sites were close together but did have nice concrete pads and even some grass and a tree on ours. We were in the center in a pull through. There were quite a few long-term or permanent campers in there. However the ones we ran into were very pleasant and we had no trouble at all. They have a dog park even though it is not advertised on their website. It was fairly spacious but due to (I think?) the number of permanent residents with multiple dogs I found it to be a little smelly unless it was sewer from one of the neighboring campers. I would stay there again.
A nice smaller facility. Sire was a cement pad so was level and easy to walk on. Clean restrooms and shower.
People are really nice. Its small, and theres not a lot to do (especially with travel restrictions and so much shut down). Very quiet and peaceful even when its full. Very responsive to requests for ice, propane, mail, ECT...
The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains is beautiful. Quite, relaxing, shade trees in every space. Very clean restrooms and shower areas. KOA park is very clean and taken care of. Employees are extremely nice and helpful. Pet are welcomed, however, dog park is in the middle of KOA . No swimming pool. No hot tub. Many permanent residences throughout the park. These residents have many of the best views of the mountains and surroundings. No campfires allowed.
This is a great little resort with some back in and pull through sites. Nice views and all amenities. Great place for a little holiday or stopping over night. Staff are amazing and the park is spotless.
This was the second time we visited this campground. The thing that is especially nice here is that each site has an outdoor light that automatically comes on at sunset. That is so helpful when you have to take a dog out after dark. Another nice thing is that the site numbers are painted on the ground entrance to each site in big block numbers so its easy to find your space. A very quiet and clean place with a great view.
We spent the night at this park while traveling to Portland in our RV. The spaces are very-very narrow. We almost could not open both our slide-outs without hitting the power access pole. There was no hot water in either shower. There was no staff anywhere. When we checked in, we discovered our slot assignment tacked to a cork board. There was a phone number listed if we needed any help; however, the available hours were 10-4, very unreasonable when you are traveling. Not what I have come to expect from KOA, even with COVID.
Clean, well maintained lots of trees.
Not the best KOA we’ve stayed in by far. Several permanent residents in the park, some fairly junky and the spots are so tight that you have slides on your RV, you could basically reach out your window and shake hands with your neighbor. The majority of the park is concrete which is not our cup of tea. We are used to some grass, trees and space. Luckily we were only staying 1 night on our way back home or we would have been finding a different place to stay.
Super clean facilities and great friendly staff. Our dog really enjoyed the grass areas and the made some friends as the miniature dog park. Its mostly rv camping with a few tent spots in the back. The views around the campsite are stunning but are only visible from select sites. If I went back, I would absolutely reserve the covered wagon campsite, it had the best view in the park.Neighbors were really close though, luckily ours was friendly, but there a few sketchy people bumbling around. Thats just Pendleton though, its a pretty weird place.
Visited for one night traveling. One small place for dogs wanted into fields near by but a long way around. Wind storm that night . Must be a good place just couldn’t get out with weather situation
So laid back. Stayed here twice. Once on my way to Portland, once on the way back..Its a small place, but that doesnt mean that it lacks character. The view of the blue mountains is incredible here.Theres full hookups for RVs, and the bathrooms are clean!Plus youre only minutes away from any shopping that you may need to do!
Stayed here again and it is very well maintained with friendly staff. Beautiful area. If you have a couple of days, visit Pendleton to see the underground city.
We recently purchased and refurbished a used trailer. We had great expectations of our first trip and planned to go to the Oregon coast with a first stop at the KOA in Pendleton Oregon. When we arrived we were delighted to see a small store, handicap bathroom facilities, and laundry room. We had some difficulty backing into our site and not only our 2 more experienced neighbors but also a staff member were very helpful in getting ius into place. My mother-in-law came with my husband and myself on this trip. She is a stroke survivor with multiple mental and physical issues and we needed a well lit site with even ground for walking. This KOA met those needs. She became ill the next morning when we awoke and the staff members were very helpful in getting us a refund from the site we had reserved in Lincoln City Oregon. They met every need we had during our 4 night stay and went above and beyond the typical customer service standards that are common these days. We wanted to give out a special thanks to all the staff members who helped us out: Manager: Travis, Assistant Manager: Tina, Office staff: Vicky, Michelle, Heidi, The hard working maintenance staff: John and Ron and housekeeping staff: Jay. You all made a difficult situation as easy as possible. After our 4 night stay we headed home but will highly recommend the staff and facility of the KOA Pendleton to fellow travelers. Great job!
The facilities are clean and the man who assisted us was very helpful, however, the campground is very noisy. People were up until midnight loudly talking and had their dog barking. Then early in the morning, they started playing country music. Apparently, people dont follow the quiet hours from 10 pm until 8 am, nor it is enforced. We will not stay here again and I dont recommend this campground, unless you dont mind all the loud music, dogs barking and people talking at an obnoxious level.
Small park and sites are SUPER close together. But it is very clean and very well maintained. Showers were the cleanest we had seen in 12 days on the road.
Very nice place. Clean u0026 well kept showers and laundry. Sites are perfect and so well kept. Pet area is so nice and kept clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Tina went above and beyond to help us...she is a keeper!!! We returned for our second visit, on our way back thru, and will stay here again any time were in the area.
Quiet place easy access directly off the highway. We had a relaxing stay and nice shower. On to the next place!
Easy access from the freeway! Friendly staff! Great pull their sites for one night stays.
Second time staying here - sites are tight, and overnighters like us get gravel. The longer-term (permanent?) RVs there had concrete pads, and there was lots of them. The park is like a camp for long-termers. Bathrooms are old with old fixtures, and even though they say on the brochure we are proud of our cleanliness, the toilets were not clean this time, and they were not clean last time.Internet was good, and cable TV is nice, tho not really clear like HD antenna. The owner/worker we met seemed tired and not really into the whole thing. We wont return.
Perfect for a one night stop. Sites would be a little close together for longer stays for our preference. The level paved sites and small playground worked great for us.
For a KOA this was a pleasant surprise. Yes it was tight and your neighbor was very close to you. And typical to KOA, there are some permanent residents that made parts appear messy. However, there was a little private space between RV pads with actual grass in them. The bathrooms were spotless and the staff was very friendly. It is close and convenient to I-84 but being over the hill from the highway the noise wasnt too bad.
This a great KOA. We were only here for one night but will definitely stay here again. Spaces are a little tight but the friendly and helpfulness of the people make up for all that. We enjoyed the farmers market in downtown Pendleton and had the best crab cakes and beer in Hamleys.
My husband, twins, and I had truck issues on our way to the coast, we broke down near the Pendleton KOA and although their website said there were no sites available we called them and they found us a spot, not only for one night, but for an entire week! They helped us move our camper around the campground, ensuring we had a place to sleep every night. The owner and his wife offered us a way into town on multiple occasions, allowing us to gather supplies, and to pick up our truck when it was ready. They offered wonderful advice for leasure activities in the area, as well as directed us to an exciting new destination as we resumed our journey, we cant thank them enough for their incredible hospitality.Sincerely,The Collins from Ohio
The KOA is clean and well managed, but cannot overcome their space disabilities. RVs and tent sites crammed in like sardines, using all available space. No privacy. Feels like a packed parking lot. Not a great place to go camping, but it works for a nights rest. Bathrooms are clean, but required a number code to open the door, which is frustrating in the middle of the night when you cant remember or didnt know the code. Small playground for kids. Dogs welcome but the pet area is incredibly small, no room to run around for larger dogs.
In a word; TIGHTVery clean and tidy, well taken care of. Older park made for the days of 24 tow behind that were the latest and greatest...Larger units will fit but I suggest exploring options.I think I just realized a Journey Park is really just a place to hook up overnight. Not really camping, no fire pits means no smores!
Best stop of our trip...laundry right across from site. Clean, fast wifi, dog place for our German Shepherds to do their morning business. One night and a good one.
Nice place to stay, very convenient to downtown, rodeo grounds or the casino. I have relatives spread out in Eastern Oregon and this is the best place to be.
Theres not much happening here but I like it that way. This is an out of the way place to chillax. The people are friendly, the showers are cleaned daily, and there is onsite laundry. The store caters to basic RV and living supplies. There is a clubhouse if u need to reserve it. Most sites have a tree. Full hookups to 50 amps.
I had a great stay at the Pendleton KOA! We stayed for 4 nights at their wagon site - it had privacy, a propane camp stove, a picnic table, and the most gorgeous view of the grasslands u0026 hills beyond! Plus the bathrooms u0026 showers were just a short walk from our site. The KOA is just minutes from all of Pendleton and if it gets too hot McKay Reservoir is a short 15 minute drive into the countryside. I would definitely recommend this spot for RV-ers or if you have the wagon or premier tent site reserved, however the regular tent sites have no privacy at all from the rest of the campers and no fire or cooking capabilities. On our first morning in camp our propane tank ran out. I walked up to the club house u0026 let a staff member know and within an hour we had a fresh propane tank at our site ready to use! That was the only time we needed any services from camp staff u0026 I was greatly pleased with their quick response time.
Love this KOA,one of the best in the state. The managers Kana and Jon are some of the best people in the world.very accommodating.Cal will help you anytime your unsure of your equipment. the park may not have a pool and the spaces may seem small but Ive seen alot smaller.Great experience great place to stay Thank you all !!
The only reason they got a star is so i could write this. When I called initially they did not answer but return my call for the reservation promptly. When we arrived there is no one at the office but there was a note that said the office was closed due to covert 19 something I couldnt understand since the other koas that we had stayed at were fully staffed just following the CDC guidelines. I call to find out if the store would be open or the office would be open at any time so we can get any supplies and there was no answer again. I left a message to please return my call I needed to talk to them they never return that call to this day have still not return that call. They have lots of permanent RV residence there and clearly dont care whether the tent people have supplies or anything. The only recommendation I have as if you are A-tent camper do not go to this park they dont want you there and you dont wanna be there
This KOA was great. The tent sites had level, well-groomed grass, and water was easily accessible from the site. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the campground. The lady I talked to in the office understood that two small tents are the same as one large tent, and allowed me to book a single-tent site for my family of 5 rather than a double site that would cost much more.
Nice and clean large spot with an additional space to park our truck. Small dog park available too
The staff there at Pendleton KOA are Rude and inconsiderate I will never go back and i was charged $565 for one month I left after 9 days and when I left I got NO refund so it cost me $565 for 9 lousy days.
If you are traveling with pets, get site #54. Almost entirely enclosed, with a nice grassy yard. Site also came equipped with a nice gas grill, and outdoor propane firepit complete with covered pagoda with patio furniture. For the extra couple bucks, this site is totally worth it.
Great for one night stay. Spaces are kinda tight, but not on top of each other tight. Facilities are super clean, staff is nice. Lots of long timers, and all the ones I met were nice.
We had the biggest site with a great outdoor area. The campground is very clean and well kept. The town of pendleton has a lot of history. We loved the underground tour recommended by our host.
Very conveniently located to get on and off the interstate. Nice long pull throughs (on gravel). Appears to be home to quite a few full timers. A little shocked that the price is still summer time rates.
Excellent location off the I84 in Pendleton, Or.Everyone who works here are Awesome!!The sites are paved with 30/50amp hookups.Bathrooms are very well maintained along with laundry facilities. Small play area for children.
The pictures on the website does not do the place justice. 3 hotels look down into the campsite, most of the tent camping spots dont have a place to cook even when state they do. Okay spot if you have a RV. On the plus side they have a playground for kids, and a great rec area with board games, books, pool table, and a propane firepit.
Just so everyone knows, if you booked on line and you need to cancel (regardless of notice time) there is a $10.00 charge. Wont make this mistake again. Camp grounds were good but the cancellation costs isnt worth it for me to book there again. We travel a lot and our plans often change during our travel.
This was a friendly place to spend the night. Able to have a site long enough to allow us to remain hooked up. Our main complaint was lack of signage from the freeway to find the park. Ended up doing a cramped turn around on a dead end road. The park was clean and a good place for the night.
Quite and very well kept. Grass is actually green, with cement site for both your rig AND a car. Paver walk way to your picnic table. Great veiw.Entire grounds look like the have been swept. Nice.Check in people were great.
They were nice at the beging, and rude before we, well to me anyway, I had asked for a different spot in the camping area, nope, couldnt for free, or another after getting the spot, paid in full, 75$.
Rules are a little strict, but it helps keep the place looking nice and quiet when it sound be. Convenience store within walking distance. Managers are friendly and keep the park in good shape.
I didnt actually stay at this campsite but had a very positive experience with its management. I made a reservation well in advance of my stay that I needed to cancel somewhat last minute (day before) because of a travel emergency. The staff were very responsive and helpful u0026 ultimately refunded my reservation. Theyre good people!
Convenient, simple, good amenities, camp site was easy to set up a tent even in some wind as there were divider walls between sites that worked as wind breaks. Power, sinks, toilets u0026 showers all in decent shape.
It was ok, we have stayed at nice ones. My daughter has an active military husband and should have been able to get some nights free to stay with us but got a ride phone call to get her tent moved outWe missed spending time with our grandkids. We probably wont t stay there again
Weve been absolutely pleased with every KOA weve stayed at on our journey from St. Petersburg, FL to Arlington, WA! I would recommend staying here anytime. Also they allow overnight stays for Skoolies!!! ❤️❤️
Clean and comfortable KOA. Good grassy areas with great views of the mountains. The staff are awesome and are very informative when you need help. The nicest staff that Ive met at a KOA. Thank you Tina and Travis for a wonderful stay.
Nice views laundry and warm Co-ed Showers. Manager gets 1 star for having his staff not charge to have paperwork faxed over then changing there minds and trying to charge me $25.00 your out of your mind Travis. Not a happy place. So sad people lie.
It was good for what we needed for the night. Not a place we would stay more than 2 days at with our 40 5th wheel.
It has a amazing veiw of the Blues and is fairly close to down town Pendleton. There is a park for children as well as a dog park. There are lots of trees and plenty of shade. The spaces are large and have plenty of room for a large Fifth-wheel as well as a vehicle.
Update recent stay 2019:If I tell you I have a service animal DO NOT TELL ME THEY ARE A PET ANF TRY TO CHARGE ME A PET FEE. I have my paperwork and ADA has guidelines for a reason. Please review them Knowledgeable and kind staff - love the pull in area to check in. Layout is spacious and easily navigated (with a 40 ft towing a full sized truck) K9 camp a bit smaller yet cleaning bags or shovels for easy clean up. Lush grass (how I missed grass in our travels).Nice pull thru’s! Will return the next time we pass thru
Thanks for the management we were able to get on our way the next day after our slide out would not retract.
