Sheila cut my hair and did a fantastic job! She also cut my moms. I was hesitant because, well, its a Walmart salon and hasnt been so great years ago. But gave it a whirl and will definitely be back!!!

I have been going here for years. And I get the best service I have ever gotten at a salon. The services are affordable and high quality. I got a balayage hair color today that looks like it was done at a top salon in Mobile. The stylists are awesome, especially Mrs. Monet! She is like a magician! She looks at a picture of what you want and realistically makes it happen as close to the picture as possible. 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Monet is the most professional hair stylist I have ever met. The last couple of times I have visited smart styles I’m always certain that she will give the color and style that I will absolutely love when she’s finished. She also takes care to listen to my wishes and is always kind, warm and never rude. I feel very comfortable when I’m there. I’m am also very comfortable sending others to her as I know how professional she is. I am happy and grateful that I decided to walk in smart styles because now I book an appointment every two weeks. I will encourage anyone to do the same ! :)

I recently went into SmartStyle Hair Salon to get a new hair color and silk press. I literally had the best experience! I was treated with so much care and there was an wonderful environment I definitely would recommend SmartStyle to anyone that wants to be taken care of professionally and takes their time.

Due to the pandemic, they are requiring that you set up an appointment online. However, when you go to their website or app, there is no option to book an appointment. If you google your local salon, there is an option to book online, but when you click on it, there is no appointment times to choose from. I tried calling to set up an appointment a d they referred me to the website or their app. I eventually gave up and went some where else. I have been there in the past and the service was nice, pricing was fair.

I do not remember the stylist name. Just know she has pink hair she does not know how to cut men’s hair! She might be okay on woman I don’t know.

Decided to give them a try today and nothing far from disappointment. Went in there two hours before they close was only one person in front of me and the guy getting the hair cut sign the sign in sheet and decided to do some shopping while I wait since it is in Walmart. Well an hour pass and and it finally my turn well instead he looks at me and tells me “I can only server the next two and they been waiting longer” I told him “No I’ve been waiting longer I am the next one on the list you can call the number on the list and it be me.” he than goes again telling that I can come back tomorrow or he going to call the cops. I just decided to leave as this point.TL:DR Horrible service, long wait, and go on whatever order they like.

I have been going there almost 9yrs. At 1st they were wonderful and did a great job. My last visitshe messed my hair up do bad. Got hair all over me and would use the blow dryer to blow all the hair off, she said it would cost more , because when they use the hair dryer its considered a style. What a joke. My hair is so short, its buzzed and the want to chg almost $18.00 . I will be contacting the BBC about this and other ppl and places.

Not too bad, although it seems like the hair is always uneven lengths. I ask for a #2 on the top, and when I get home I have to use my own clippers to make the hair all one length. Other than that, pretty cheap and good.

Just walked in and found a salon full of talent and fun! I got a shampoo and cut. The best shampoo Ive had in years and she cut my hair like I ask her to. You cant get any better than that! I hate someone to cut my hair like they want and will not listen to what I want and expect me to pay for what I didnt ask for!

Do not allow Melissa from this salon to touch your hair or anyones hair for that matter. I showed Melissa a picture of a hairstyle and asked can you cut my sons hair like this, which her response was oh yes. Ummm SHE LIED! Completely jacked my kids hair up and then had the nerve to try to say it was my fault because I approached her while she was cutting my sons hair to ask her to blend it more on that side...which her response was Im not finished. This woman has no business cutting hair. If I could give zero stars I would!!!!PSA: Anthony and Jennifer do a fantastic job. I would recommend either of them to anyone! They deserve five stars!

Absolute nightmare! I now have bald patches all over because the girl couldn’t blend my already short thin fine hair. After specifically telling her numerous times initially to not cut the top or sides just blend the back that was longer in the center of my head from a previous bad cut at the (Ocean Springs branch) and clean up my neck, she chopped a hole into my hair right in the front above my ear. Making it worse she pretends that I didn’t make it clear to not touch the sides!? Has her colleagues come over and try to convince me I was in the wrong and should have made it clear for her not to touch the front or sides?!? All the while I’m still in shock and emotionally devastated the woman gets snappy and impatient asking what I want to do now because she has other clients.....cheaper is not always better!

Takes a near act of congress to make an appointment. Personel standing behind the counter should make appointments instead of turning you to a website that barely works to do it.

This place is a joke! They dont even deserve a star! Heed my warning! Go to a professional salon if you want the best for your hair. Not only did I get a bad perm but my hair was fried plus I ended losing 6 inches of hair because of it!! I should of know not to let a girl touch my hair when hers is a weave! A bad one at that!! I did get my money back but live and learn. 😡

One of the best things about this place, they are open SUNDAYS!... I got the cuts and shopping done, at the same time haha.

I will never go back to this place! We went here so our son could get his haircut and the workers were OBVIOUSLY mad that we came 45 minutes before they closed, but one of them said they’d cut his hair anyway but complained the entire time he that he was ready to get off.. The man cutting his hair completely stopped cutting my sons hair. He shaved the back with clippers and left long patches of hair on the side of my sons head, then he tried to swipe the hair all to the other side to blend it in with his bangs so I wouldn’t notice! All because he was ready to get off and go home. It would have took an extra 2-3 minutes to finish properly cutting my sons hair. We even tipped him good because we didn’t notice the long patches on the side until we got home. Ridiculous.

This is the salon inside Wal-Mart. The idea is good, get ur groceries while u wait ur turn. I got there on a busy Sat afternoon so I knew there would be a wait. I waited in line to speak with someone, when I got to the register to sign in, the man behind the counter just walked away, not even greeting me. So my family and I stood there waiting to find out how long the wait would be so we knew when to come back. Finally, a rude woman who was not with a customer tells me the wait is 45-60 minutes after I asked her 3x. I put my phone number on the sign in sheet as requested. We were shopping for approximately 30 minutes and went back to wait the rest of the time. They never bothered to call me to let me know it was my turn, instead they just went down the list skipping the first come first serve and they were just as packed as when I first got there. No way I was standing in front of Wal-Mart waiting 30 more minutes for a rude woman or dirty looking unkempt man to finally get to my name again. Very unprofessional atmosphere all around.

Went here with the son this evening around 500p.m. Stood at register watching semi old blonde African American stylist play on her phone for approximately three minutes. When she made eye contact in the mirror with me she immediately acted like she was taking the trash out. Left the shop with bag of said garbage and took it to its proper disposal. Upon returning she made eye contact with me again. Instead of greeting me or acknowledging I was there she grabbed a buggy and went shopping in the store. UNPROFESSIONAL . You should have your license stripped and tossed to the curb. Never to return!!!!!

Good service but long wait

I went in and got a perm came out with very little curl. Very disappointing

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! They do not even deserve one star. I went in for simple highlights to touch up roots and came out with a complete and utter mess. My hair was ORANGE and it looked as though she purposely stopped 1 inch short of my scalp all around my head. I went to a professional salon, which is what I shouldve done in the first place, and $140 later my hair is somewhat presentable. Needless to say it is fried though. I tried calling the manager, but of course shes not in. I will be calling tomorrow and demanding a refund.
