This place has no respect for persons! Dr. P screams at clients and hangs up on them before they can answer her! They are disrespectful to recovering people. They tamper with their RX meds and the house managers decide who gets what! It is unbelievable the shameful way they are allowed to treat this suffering population. May God have mercy on them all@!

New life has been warm and welcoming. Ms Brenda is awesome and so helpful and informative !!! I’ve had wonderful experience so far. Also, not to mention the Uber service they provide is amazing. I’ve never attended a place so caring.Just a thought ... As for the insurance thing that someone posted about scam... well, you get paid when you go to work right ? You wouldn’t work for free? How do you expect the staff to get paid and run a business in turn it is a business... to help save lives.Thank gosh they take my insurance because it’s truly a life savor and I’m being saved one day at a time. Thank you to all !!!

I had a family member who completed treatment at new life. They are doing fantastic in their recovery. Everyone I encountered was very helpful and truly genuine. I thank God, New Life and my family member for putting in the work and giving me back my loved one!

From the moment you start the staff is super friendly and trying to work with you to find out what works for you. Not to mention the counselors (Ms Brenda being the counselor I interacted with) will go above and beyond to not only teach you about your addiction but motivate to the stay clean. All in all, New Life has helped me in ways I never thought possible I strongly recommend that anyone struggling give them a call and see if they can provide you with the help you deserve.

After reading some of the reviews I felt it necessary to leave one. At the time of this writing I have been going to New Life for over 3.5 years (almost 3.5 years clean & sober) and have nothing but praise for the patience, care, and fair treatment by the counselors, medical staff, office group, and techs. If anyone feels that they were treated unfairly or wrong it is more likely their own behavior that was wrong. It takes a lot more than a poor attitude on the part of the patient to kicked out or refused treatment. One would have to be actively under the influence, i.e. high as heck, or just a raging a**hole for anything like that to happen. A patient being high is only the fault of the patient, not the staff. You get out what you put in...just like any other aspect of life. That being said if someone truly wants to get clean, and remain clean, New Life is a fair start in that direction. They cant make someone get clean but they can do their part in the process of healing in a fair and trustworthy environment.

Complete scam! they told me my insurance covered it and then when my insurance didnt cover it they billed me not once, not twice, but three times for the ONE appointment i had with them. i work in the medical field and there is absolutely no reason they dont know how to check insurance benefits, but since they told me it was covered then there is no reason to bill me for their mistake. and to make matters even worse they billed me for three separate transactions when it was only one.

Biggest racket in the business. Very little concern for whats best for the client and only interested in their own procedural correctness. Designed to keep you as long as possible to milk every dollar they can from the state or your insurance. Absolutely worthless discussions that lead to more talk about shooting heroin than how to leave the stuff alone. New Life ONLY addresses heroin/ opiate addiction and is usually a bunch of strung out junkies talking about how clean they are on 150 milligrams of methadone.

DONT GO HERE!!! If you can, enroll at project chesapeake. Newlife is a scam and they dont care about their clients. They only want your insurance money. Who the hall puts someone in an intensive out patient program for cannabis?? Im SO glad these scam artists didnt get my money!

The secretary at New Life is the most ignorant individual I have ever spoken with. I called to get information, which she was not allowed to give out. When the person called to release the information to me, she became erratic, screaming at him telling him to make up his mind and he could find somewhere else to go. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! This is a place people and families go to better their lives, not to be talked to like trash. If I wasnt a mother I would be up there now giving her a good piece of mind to treat others the way she wants to be treated. She should be fired for her misconduct and rude treatment to the clients trying to receive help for their addition. No one should have to be treated as such, especially when youre already fragile from fighting a drug addition. Hopefully someone takes action against this woman or she might find herself in a position to where to makes the wrong person angry.
