I had been struggling with asthma, food and seasonal allergies on and off since I was a child. I had tried Western Medical treatments over the past years. I would get temporary relief with the help of inhalers, allergy treatments, nasal sprays and oral medications.A few months ago, I had decided Ive had enough of the temporary relief and medications. I had heard from a good friend that acupuncture might help me, so I decided to give it a try.Since beginning acupuncture treatments 6 months ago, I have begun to experience much improved health. I no longer require the use of any asthma or allergy medications. After not feeling well for so many years, I am really appreciating the overall sense of well being I now enjoy.I would like to thank Ryan for my new found well being and for treating me with acupuncture. From the experience I had from another acupuncturist, I think he is more knowledgeable, and also talented. He adjusts points, thickness of needles, and the way he inserts the needles every time so that it would work better. I did not see this capability in my previous acupuncture experience.I visited him when I had been exhausted constantly and could not relax day and night. I had fatigue, headache, dry-eyes, constant cold(sore throat, running nose). I once tried massage and acupuncture that might have alleviated the symptoms a little bit, but did not feel distinct improvement. So I just thought, Well, Im going to try this new place anyway since I know I need to do something. I choose him based on the previous good reviews, but still was not quite sure since there are many places that have good reviews too.When I visited, he asked my symptoms, and explained what he will try. Then he measured my pulse on wrists. After the first treatment, I did feel slight improvements such as relaxation. Then on the second visit, he asked the reactions and symptoms, and measured the pulse again, and he decided to use thicker needle.After this second visit, my condition improved dramatically. I was more relaxed, could sleep better, the cold was going away, and surprisingly, my dry-eye got better. I needed to squint when I stare at the screen(that was probably because my eyes were dried), but I felt much better with my eyes since after. This was quite important since I work all time staring at screen. Honestly I did not expect this kind of dramatic improvement from acupuncture, but it happened to me. And I believe this is due to his talent.Also his advice on how to improve your health is practical. It may sound based on common sense, but its with profound knowledge and wisdom(For example, Avoiding processed food, Breathing deep night and morning, Dont push yourself too much, Which food is good for your symptoms, Points that can be used for your symptoms etc). So there is no easy way, but still if you can follow his advices, you will be able to improve your health. In addition, he is willing to answer your questions any time.So if youre not sure where you go for acupuncture, he is the one I definitely recommend.

Let me preface this review by stating that prior to seeing Ryan, on a scale of 1 to 10 of being bad with shots and needles, I considered myself an 11.4 weeks of miserable back pain from overdoing tennis and from work/career-related stress was enough for me to want to deal with needles in the hopes that trying acupuncture for the first time would help me get better and be able to even sit without pain. I called Ryan, and he was able to fit me in the very next day.During my first session, Ryan was extremely patient in explaining the process. Unlike other health professionals I have been to, I did not feel rushed or that my questions were a nuisance to answer, and I was able to put my fear of needles at ease. Though there were a couple times I started to feel a little queasy, Ryan was very quick to attend to pressure points that made the feeling dissipate quickly. The majority of the time, there was no pain at all when the needles went in. Upon completion of the first session, my back felt immediate relief!Two subsequent sessions have further improved my back. My back is no longer rock hard to the touch and I am not in pain while sitting down.Ryans manner, voice, and the ambiance were very relaxing. He is very genuine and actually cares about how you are doing. I highly recommend him, and if my back tenses up again, he will be the first person I go see.

If you are suffering from chronic pain of any kind I suggest you make an appointment with Ryan as soon as possible. I was bothered by pain in my shoulder and neck for years due to a sports injury. I tried a number of different things to try to relieve the pain including physical therapy and chiropractic but had no success. My only options seemed to be to take muscle relaxers indefinitely or have surgery, both of which I wanted to avoid. I decided to try acupuncture on the advice of a friend in order to find some relief. To my amazement after going to see Ryan I have been completely pain free and it has literally changed my life! I had been in pain for so long that I had almost forgotten what it was like not to be in pain all the time. As you can imagine it could make everyday life exhausting. Now not only is the pain gone but Ive also gained range of motion back in my neck and shoulder that had been limited for years as well. Ryan truly cares about his patients and their well-being and goes above and beyond to help them get well. Hes also a super nice guy.

Ryan is AMAZING!!!! I began going for excrutiating migraines which he has thankfully relieved. He has also treated me for several other issues that have also gone away. Ryan Fong is caring doctor. He goes the extra mile for his patients. He makes you feel at ease as he pokes you with needles distracting you with his funny stories or by making you do jazz hands! lolHe is treating me for mortons neuromas and stump neuromas and for frequent urination. He is so gentle with the needles always asking if you need a break. I have notice an improvement in both areas only going for about 4 weeks now.Ryan Fong is a one man show so be very patient with him. If you are you will not regret the time and care he spends with each patient. You cant get mad at the guy for running late because he is so genuinely nice.I am a first time acupuncture patient. Ryan Fong is perfect for that.
