Excuse me......I see all of these reviews and I truly believe the office had their family and friends to give such reviews:. So let me start Mr. Ryan is HORRIBLE. I never had a chance to see Khan, Only Ryan each time. When I went one month Ryan was REAL NASTY talking to me likestarted
I became a patient at Forest Recovery one year ago after decades on methadone maintenance. My life has changed immeasurably for the better since then and Forest Recovery has treated me with the respect, dignity, and medical competence that my drug use disorder demands. What a refreshing change it is to escape the punitive and mean-spirited atmosphere of the methadone maintenance system. It was nothing less than a nightmare that dominated my adult life since 1976.In contrast to the review in which Richard was harshly criticized, I have found him to be polite, sincere, and helpful in every way. My doctor, Ijechi Ngumah, has surpassed my expectations for excellence, empathy, and medical skill and my counselor, Jonathan Kull, is competent, empathetic, understanding, and we actually have fun during my productive counseling sessions. The administrative office staff is helpful, professional, and polite. I couldn´t be happier.I must add my own humble advice to those who are suffering the flaws of the broken methadone system and the government that administers them, try buprenorphine! It really works and it is far less invasive to your mind and body.
I believe each and every review that speaks good about this place is their family and friends doing it I never had the opportunity to meet Dr Khan only Mr Ryan he was very rude he was very disrespectful and it was really not worth my time they will give you an issue instead of fixing it stay away from this place just like everyone else is saying its horrible and they need to leave New Jersey they need to
Dr. Kahn is the best Psychiatrist I have ever had. Been to a lot over the years. Great staff as well. Thank you!
Agree with previously comment below of unprofessionalism and rudeness of staff. Reports “computer problems” for medication issues. After three times of medication sent to wrong pharmacy, after confirming address change in sessions and over the phone, it is hard to believe this isn’t a repetitive problem. Very scary to consider some patients’ health could be significantly impacted due to lapse on certain psychotropic medications; detrimental.Plus, he lacks multicultural competency and clinicians not current on evidence-based practices for 2020
I will never go back to Dr Kahn’s office at forest psychiatry in Paramus. I was charged a fee for a missed appointment that I did not miss. It was rescheduled in plenty of time! The office staff and Richard in particular are rude and unprofessional. He refused to acknowledge his mistake even when I gave him proof saying “computers don’t make mistakes”. Any appointments I was unable to make were cancelled within the 24 hour period. After explaining the situation to Richard he went on to berate and belittle me and refused to schedule any further appointments with my therapist. He was fully aware I was running out of my medicine, which you are not supposed to stop taking abruptly. On numerous occasions I asked to speak with the doctor or PA to discuss the situation with my meds and either the message wasn’t relayed or the doctors won’t speak with you if you have an outstanding balance. Either way it is unacceptable and dangerous to leave someone cut off from their medication. I wholeheartedly recommend you stay away from this office!
Watch out. This place is a real con. They rip off your insurance company by using a PA, instead of an actual Psychiatrist, and provide horrible service. Stay far away.
Guys a scam artist, puts people on medication that is not needed. He’s just out to make a quick buck, find a doctor that actually wants to help and stay far away from this one.
He visited me for free when I was hospitalized, hes a wonderful man and a good doctor in a tough field. Been with him 21 years now.
I had the opportunity to work with Dr.Kahn regarding a few common patients over the years. I thought he was exceptional both regarding psych-medication smarts, but also in the way he related to the patients. He was very real, very much himself, while also being the expert he truly is.Dr. Sam Von Reiche, Psychologist, Paramus
Watch out for he is a con for real just rips off your insurance company and provides horrible services just the worst .
