I was so very pleased with the care and professionalism I received at Midwest Dental! Being new to the area I was very skeptical at seeking out a new dentist. They were very personal and caring! Being a new patient, the office staff were just exceptional and happy to answer any questions I had! Thank you for my great experience and I definitely will be returning!

Kelly was very rude and a bad communicator. I was told to follow up with them after 2pm the next day to set up my first appointment “as if following up should be my job”. She marked me down the next morning without confirmation of time. Surprise to my phone call at 2pm today, she had told me I didn’t show up to my early am appointment. Kelly proceeded to tell me that they would not book an appointment with me in the future.I have never been so disrespected over a phone conversation, I highly recommend anyone seek out any other dental office that will treat you with professionalism and kindness.

My son whom is on the spectrum was very nervous walking into a new dentist. All the staff from the moment we walked in was super welcoming and friendly. I have gone to Midwest Dental since I was a kid, and they have always been honest, and treated me like family. I have never had any issues with their service, and I highly recommend them. They genuinely care about your teeth, and will not perform unnecessary service to make money. I hope I never have to go anywhere else but here!

After neglecting my teeth for a number of years do to the death of my last dentist, I chose Midwest Dental on the recommendation of friends. I have not been disappointed. A thourough review of all my dental issues was given to me with the estimated cost after insurance. Gave me an excellant idea of what was ahead of me. We are over half way through the list so far with great results.

Everyone is great here. I’m kept informed and comfortable. Beautiful office. Dr. Machi is the best.

I have been here twice now, once for my consultation and just recently for my cleaning. The receptionist is incredibly kind, caring, and personable. She really has helped me understand how my insurance works and what it covers both times. I had Becky for my cleaning and was amazed by how thorough and careful she was during my cleaning. I had made the terrible decision to whiten my teeth prior to my appointment and she always checked in to make sure I was doing okay. Overall, all of the interactions I have had at this office have been great. I look forward to getting all my future cleanings done here!

From the first phone call it was an amazing experience. Jill at the front desk talked to me multiple times trying to get me in earlier than the 2 days out that I was scheduled for my broken tooth. When I went they were so kind and caring knowing I was in pain. They did everything to be safe from COVID to figuring out what my options were. I decided to get it extracted. The Dr. Tried to fit me in same day unfortunately could not due to other appointments however, her husband at the Ohio St. location could fit me in and they sent me over literally 3 minutes away to help me. My new patient appointment is next month and I actually am looking forward to it when usually I hate going to the dentist as Ive had bad experiences in the past and had braces for 5 years so just not a fan. Midwest Dental and everyone I came in contact with was nice and happy and upbeat. Would recommend 1000 times over.

The staff was so friendly, the two receptionists were super helpful explaining all my payment options, and they helped me schedeule an appoinment that worked for me. The dr was very curteous as well as the dental hygenist.

Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, has been extremely helpful when there are snafus with my health insurance. 6 month cleanings are always quick and painless, would highly recommend!!

I needed a new dentist because I moved back to the area. I choose this one because I also needed a dentist for my daughter as they see adults and children. The first hygienist I had I didnt care for. She was rude. She was very impatient with my daughter who was 6 at the time and scared. She no longer works here now. All the hygienists Ive had since her Ive really liked. They are friendly and personable. Dr. Erika is great! She is very lind and patient. My daughter and I both dont mind going to the dentist now every 6 months. The office staff is very helpful and friendly as well.

The staff here at Midwest dental is awesome and very friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend Dr Erika Varrhoven to anyone she is the best dentist I ever had. She replaced a crown recently and I never felt a thing when removing the old one. There have been alot of dentists that have come and gone here but when Dr Erika came they found the best.

Midwest Dental and I have been together for many years.A few dentists have come and gone, but are always replaced by another that I am very pleased with. ..Including our current one. I have had deep cleanings, crowns, and a partial done there and always very satisfied. The staff is competent , professional, yet friendly, pleasant. The building is nice, clean, well kept. The staff was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Becky made sure I was comfortable during my cleaning and let me know what she was doing and also gave me some great advice. Dr. Erika was very professional and showed concern for my oral hygiene.

Ive had multiple appointments at this location and every time I arrive, Im always greeted with a smile. The woman at the front desk always addresses me by name, and knows exactly why Im there. Im assisted promptly and never have a long wait. The dental assistants and dental hygienists Ive worked with are extremely thorough and explain things in terms I understand. They make sure Im comfortable, which I appreciate because sometimes trips to the dentist can be not so pleasant. The Doctor herself always takes plenty of time meeting with me. Ive recommended this office to several people and will continue to do so based on the experiences I continue to have there.

I didnt even get to the appointment because of how rude the staff was. They wouldnt wait 60 seconds for me to get the information they needed and when I called back half the information they said they needed they didnt ask for. It seemed like all they cared about was getting me in so they could charge me. They dont want you to have a conversation with your dentist so you know theyre right for you; as long as they can charge you you can see them.

I have recently switched to Midwest Dental but my experiences so far have been great! The staff is wonderful and helped me figure out the best plan of action that also worked with my budget. Dr Erika is very professional and gentle, I was worried about getting a cavity filled but she was so wonderful. I will not have any fears about returning!

Ive been going there for 7 years now and have always had excellent, friendly service. Short waits, easy to schedule appointments, flexibility when things come up, they do a good job cleaning and are not too pushy trying to sell the extra services.The only somewhat negative thing is that it seems the doctors and hygienists tend to leave every couple years. Its bad because you loose the rapport with the previous one, but at the same time the new ones always seem as good or better than the previous and its enjoyable meeting new people.

The team at this office is consistently outstanding. They have convenient hours and helpful staff who are genuinely interested in their patients lives. Dr. Erika has excellent bedside manner (with children and adults) and Ive never had a hygienist I didnt like. My son and I have been patients at this practice for a number of years and plan to keep coming back because of the excellent care we receive.

Wouldnt go anywhere else... Theyre awesome with my daughter. She was pretty scared at her previous dentist, and they werent very compassionate about it. You wont run into that problem here.( remember, no matter where you go, theyll try and sell you the perfect smile, thats my only complaint. I dont like how quick they are to spend my money, whether i can afford it or not. But comfort is king, and that they have perfected)

We have been very satisfied with the dental care from Midwest Dental. The staff is very professional, kind and accommodating. Our family of 8 have all been taken care of very well. Our dental care has spanned from normal cleaning, cavities, sealants and crowns . They are very gentle with cleanings and dental work. Highly recommend.

I am really glad that I made the right choice because they are really great at what they are doing and very friendly.They really know the best treatment that suited for us. The receptionist is annoying. Keeps telling me what to do when she has no right to tell me what to do with my own teeth. She should at least let people make there own decision instead of making the decision. Im going to go to a new place. I dont even like the doctor too. If they want me to go back then they need to find a new receptionist. This place makes me feel that all they want is just my money. Im so done with this place.

Midwest Dental has always done an awesome job caring for my teeth. I have had five crowns over the past couple years and the experience was always great and the crowns are perfect. From the time you are greeted at the reception desk through the scheduled procedure to the check-out these terms capture the services rendered. This has not changed over the years I’ve been going there. Highly recommended!!!!

The doctor and assistant both worked very hard to do this tough job and to keep me comfortable in the chair for almost 3 hours. They gave me a break and more numbing, which helped. The difficulty was the location of the tooth, not anything they did wrong.Very professional and considerate of my comfort. 5 stars!!!

My initial visit...was GREAT! Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly-courteous service. I was seen promptly and they evaluated me efficiently and professionally. Even though a cleaning had not been scheduled, they fitted me in and offered me some add-ons without being pushy. I can really feel the difference with the Sonicare high-fluoride toothpaste. Really top-notch service and demeanor...OUTSTANDING!

We usually go to Midwest North, however the Dr had an emergency. My daughter had an emergency and got into this office. I texted her the info on one of two of dental insurances and told her to tell them to call the other office the next day.She needed a root canal and the doctor did not even call her in an antibiotic nor a pain medication.VERY VERY disappointed and angry that in an emergency that they treated a 20 year old this way. Our family WILL NEVER use them again, nor will I refer anyone I know to this office.If we cant get into Midwest North for any reason (the office was closed due to a death) then I will find a different dental office outside of Midwest to treat my family members.

My wife really disliked going to the dentist; big time dislike. Last week she had oral surgery by Dr. Erica Van Larrhoven. It was a painless experience and she was in the chair two hours. She no longer really dislikes going to the dentist. Dr. Van Larrhoven is a Great dentist!

I had filling work done done here. I cracked an existing filling in a rear molar on a popcorn seed. The dentist decided that it could be replaced with a regular filling to fix the tooth(pain) and made mention of a possible crown being necessary down the road. After we did the filling, I was still in bad pain. Then she suggested the crown, after that point. During the follow up to check out what was going on she wanted to do more X-rays and charge the insurance company again to double check the work shes already done. To me, that should be a no charge visit to check on work already completed. They got crabby when I said I dont think its right that anyone be charged for this visit, even if its no charge to me (just my insurance company) and they didnt do the x-rays and the exam ended right then and there saying just wait it out and get back to them if it gets worse. I dropped them from that moment and havent returned. The filling that they did, broke off on one corner months later and I ended up needing a crown, a crown that shouldve been done first, not try to milk the insurance company for more money by adding unnecessary steps and wasting my time and putting me through pain in the process.

I had an excellent dental hygienist who thoroughly explained every process for the day including those from which I could choose. She was kind, conversational and professional. The staff is friendly and patient.

Great experience this time and a quick and easy fix for my tooth! I walked out happy!
