I am very pleased with the care that I have received at this hospital each time I have had to go. It’s even nice when the OR nurse remembers me and makes me more comfortable when prepping for surgery. I believe her name is Erin. The rooms are really clean and I’ve had good experiences with the nursing staff. Despite the covid pandemic, I still feel like I receive a high level of care and attention. Dr. Beidas in particular is an excellent surgeon and I’m glad he is a part of Orlando Health.During my overnight stay, even the food wasn’t bad. I never thought I would say that about hospital food. 😊 And I had a great view!

Orlando Health is 100x better than Advent Health could ever wish to be. I jumped ship & left Advent to go to Orlando Health due to many, many problems. Not only was Orlando Health on the ball with everything, I was thrilled that I wouldnt have to spend a night in the hospital for the breast cancer surgery I was having! Their website is great compared to Advents & they are spot on! Kudos to Orlando Health & keep on caring & respecting your patients!

Went about 2 months ago with a relative who had surgery. The staff are great but my issue is the cleanliness of the whole facility. I went to the cafeteria and let me tell you.. there was trash on the floors, tables and even the station where the napkins are. The packets of condiments, all of them had sticky stuff on it. ALL of them, it was disgusting and sad. The floors in the patients room was sticky. I’m sure being a multi million company they can do better with the cleanliness of the facility.

I have been to the ER here I believe twice now (2018 & 2021) and both times I have received great care. The doctors (2021 Dr. Moriarty) were very knowledgeable empathetic and generous with their time considering the current circumstances in 2021. The wait time in the ER this year was long but that is the case around the country right now and you cannot blame the hospital staff for laws and policies they must follow unfortunately.

His hospital has the best care Ive ever experienced their staff is gentle caring considerate anything you required it will help you with. I had a death col-19 my sister and the nurses even to give me a hug. And console me, that is above anything Ive experienced in any hospital that place is clean well serviced they are prompt to your needs. I had colon cancer and within a day Ive been able to walk and use the bathroom, their prep is excellent surgery is excellent and they care is excellent, I think this is one of the best experience Ive had in my life I was lucky enough to get a room that overlooked downtown Orlando. That is a beautiful Skyline. Doctor Padron is an excellent surgeon. So if you have a choice for a hospital in Orlando I recommend this one. It deserves 10 Stars. Whatever it is that you have I hope you get well as I have. God bless you all and for those who dont believe in God good luck.

Maria, Grace, Ashlyn, and Adam were just a few of the sweetest people I had the pleasure of knowing I just hate I cant remember the other names. I had such high hopes for this hospital but instead I was met with so many horrible things. It was my first time there for a surgery. One of the first things they need is to train nurses to use ultrasound machines for patients with bad veins. They only have 2 people for 800 beds. This was told to me by the techs. I waited over 10 hours to get an IV replacement so I can get pain medication cause all the oral medication were not working. The only reason they did something after 8 hours is because I asked to speak to the head nurse after being in severe pain for hours. A patient shouldnt go through that much pain after surgery. Also I understand that not everyone is aware of some conditions but in that case why dont they just listen to the patients. Im only leaving this comment cause they asked for my feedback. I hope that things change soon cause I dont think I would be going back unless is an absolute emergency.

I had a surgical procedure at Orlando Health and I must say that the pre-op nurses and the anesthesia group were fantastic. However the operating room nurses and the pacu nurses were unprofessional, poorly trained, and to be properly trained to perform these life saving positions. There is no excuse for the care I received or how I was discharged home. I’m a healthcare professional and I’m appalled at the level of skill these nurses have that are in control of my safety and care when I was sedated and unable to care for myself. I would never put my life on their hands again. I’m a critical care registered nurse and certainly qualified to judge the care I received.

I feel there is great lack of communication and active listening between the caregivers and patient. Focused intention to solve and properly diagnose complicated issues are pushed aside and needs improvement. I grew up attending this hospital and I feel the quality of care has declined and has long seen better days. With all the technology and apps I found it to be more of an issue when it came to providing basic needs, for ex. medications. My. Chart App should be less restricted in the ability to update said medications by the actual patient, as it is left to an ORMC Physician. ORMC has such great potential to be world class, but it begins with treating every patient with respect and dignity. I also feel for us chronically ill patients that there should be a system that alleviates all the time spent trying to get care in the first place. Dedicated facilities should be in order along with specialized care providers available. I am happy to share my ideas as it could revolutionary. I want to thank those who did show genuine concern but did not have the authority to execute common sense care.

Nurses Jordan and Alexis made arrangements with night staff for my husband to stay an extra night putting him at ease for not doing a 2 hour commute at night home. A suggestion I have to ease the stress off weekend staff would be on call nurse practitioners or MDs to help with administrative duties. Residents can get a co-signer on prescriptions without having to wait for a very busy surgeon who may be exhausted after working long hours in the OR. This change may prevent an incident or preventable emergency with a patient in the future. During the stressful time of pharmacies closing on Sunday my husband was unable to get his discharge meds in time. Overall, 5 stars for the compassion and staff care that was exceptional from ER to admission. I thank each and everyone of the staff on seventh floor as they all communicated well in my husband’s care. Also, a special thank you to the chaplains who were comforting during this stressful time.

I got there around 6:20 pm with pain and infection that needs to be treated ASAP due to being a dialysis patient. (Renal failure stage 5)11:30pm came up and I was still sitting in the emergency room without being seen.I finally asked the Nurse. Ms.Kendall and she told me that unfortunately, they are out of bed and no one was able to see me until the following day!I say what? I have been sitting here and no one could tell me that? I was able to go to another hospital.I told her is almost midnight and I need my dialysis treatment. She replies: I understand! Is up to you if you want to leave. Not even making eye contact, another guy nurse was there helping her and he was apologizing over and over.I used to be a HR Director at a Hospital and trust me I was a lot while sitting there.I will never visit this hospital again. If you are thinking about coming to this hospital for any kind of emergency, forget it! my boyfriend works out of town. He came into the emergency room because he had hit his head a few times at work today and had passed out from the trauma, as well as having a gash on the top of his head form the impact. He came into the emergency room at 1 pm. after several hours of waiting, and being transferred into another waiting room, he received a CAT scan, but was told to go back to the waiting room for which he has been in for 7 hours. he has not been admitted into a room, in which he was told that to find out his results, he would have to be admitted into a room. he was told that there are 5 more patients in front of him to be admitted. that is understandable. WHAT IS NOT OKAY is the fact that he has been in the EMERGENCY room for 7 hours. obviously this hospital does not take action when their patients need it. more than likely it is only a severe concussion and he will be okay , however, there would be more than just the concussion that he does not know about and won’t find out until he is admitted into a room. this is UNACCEPTABLE in so many ways. if i could give this hospital a 0 star review i definitely would. this hospital needs to get their priorities in check and figure something out to where there is not another person that walks through those emergency room doors and has to wait 7+ hours to get admitted or even told anything about the situation of why they are waiting so long before they decide to take on anymore patients. he definitely will not be returning to this hospital EVER again. absolutely unacceptable.

They are evidently no good for pain management if you have a serious illness that requires it. A family friend of mine went recently for a serious operation and they keep sending her home with inadequate pain medication so she just has to keep returning. Also the social workers there havent been sending her home with any kind of home health care which would also have kept her from continuing to cycle in and out of the hospital. She is being treated just like an ordinary patient that doesnt have any special problems. I am grievously disappointed because I, myself, have had NO problem here and most of my docs are Orlando Health docs. The nurses on floor 5, South Tower are Beeeooches. They swell your hands and arms up, I left there with multiple bruises and a knot in my arm after a surgery as if I had been dropped or something. It was just a horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Smh.

Horrible horrible horrible wait times for an “emergency room”.My wife’s cardiologist, who is a member of the ORMC hospitals told my wife that he wanted her sent immediately to the ER for tests and scans. They literally rolled her from the cardiac heart institute across the street in a wheelchair WITH PAPERWORK to be admitted.Would you like to know the wait time? 7 to 12 hours... wait time that is in not guaranteed because it all depends on the section the hospital you are going to be admitted to... so since she may have some type of heart or lung issue and that department is not moving people out and beds are not available... we have to stay in the waiting room — general public with various types of people that are sick with potentially contagious conditions... and we have to wait here so we “don’t lose out place” on the list....Never in my 40 years have I experienced this... never have I seen a system so flawed...What do they offer you? Hot chocolate, coffee, water and little lunch boxes with sandwiches and chips. This is the ONLY positive for this ER.You won’t go hungry... but you will lose sleep, listen to people scream and moan and get very few updates on your wait time... because again... they can’t guarantee you a time or a bed...I am very sorry to see such an “emergency room” type of system in such a city as Orlando.I cannot grade or give my experience with the “general hospital” as my wife still... as I write this ... has not been admitted.

The new location is convenient and pleasant. The facility is clean and follows protocol for protection against COVID-19…is very busy and would be helpful if more Doctors to see patients.

Here’s a wild idea, put covid patients in a different area. Don’t have an ER waiting room with people struggling to breathe with a positive test sitting among 30 other people who DONT have covid.

On Wednesday January 27, 2021 I was admitted in the early morning for a watchman procedure. From the moment we arrived until the moment I was discharged the following day we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The nursing team that was assigned to me were professional and caring. My heart doctor, Dr. A.Duran is the best. I believe he has saved my life. Ive have had over 37 operations in my life and I have never been treated in any hospital this well. Thank God for Orlando Health!

Cons-the whole staff in general, including Doctors, need to be a little more meticulous about hand hygiene and a few about wearing gloves.Pros.-Many, many, RN’s and Techs, all demonstrated GREAT bedside manners and in my humble opinion, went above and beyond the call of duty. They explained to the patient the meds they were giving them, the mg’s and what they were for. Nurses and Techs alike showed Genuine concern for the patients needs, apathy when patients were in pain and concern when patients did not like their meal or simple, did not want to eat. The Dietary department or Cafeteria workers, were very precise in explaining the food choices I had, they were quick to suggest a variety of fruits and vegetables that were with in my dietary Carbohydrates. I could go on and on about the many good experiences I had with staff from all Departments. In conclusion, One thing for sure, these five stars were Well DESERVED.

I am have heart failure, and other medical issues but they dont care. Even the guest services staff didnt smile. This is pathetic. Plus I have covid symptoms already. Well if I die my kids will be wealthy.

For months I have Been waiting on an appointment with my surgeon . We finally set the appointment . I drove the 40minutes for the appointment ,only to get there and find out due to a family emergency the Dr. could not make it in . OK ! I can understand and be sympathetic. Afterwards we set another appointment a month later . The appointment was in two parts. The first was pretty much on time but while there we got a call ,another cancellation .Then the second part was for 9:30 am.we were told a PA would administer the necessary shots .We again for our second appointment arrived early but had another 1 hour delay to go back for the Botox shots .I was put into a treatment room and left for another30 minutes without seeing anyone . After an hour and a half . I walked out to the desk and announced I was leaving .The attendant said no please one moment ,walked I presume into the break room and told the PA who came running out and announced she just received the dosage amount and had the Botox in her hands ,which was very convenient . Whether she had it or was getting it I don’t know . But I do know that keeping someone waiting for a total of 11/2 hours without any update as to what was happening is a total lack of concern and skills on managements behalf .What are the chances of having two family emergencies on appointment days preset a month or more in advance happening ? Maybe there was emergencies, but on both occasions I drove in with my wife and Service dog for a treatment I really needed only to find out at the hospital that The Dr. would not be there.I am sorry but this is wrong !

From beginning to end, it was a seamless and smooth experience. The care was excellent the entire time. I felt knowledgeable and completely understood everything. Everyone was truly amazing. Dr. Ibrahim was amazing. His care and compassion are beyond measure. I would also like to acknowledge Ivy, the RN that took care of me in pre-op and post-op. I was extremely nervous and she truly demonstrated caring and compassionate care and calmed me in what was a very nervous situation. As a fellow health care professional, I know that the business of the day sometimes overshadow our tasks but Ivy was excellent in her duties while also showing great care and compassion. I truly appreciated that. Ivy truly epitomizes what every great health system desires their nurses to be. She truly represented Orlando Health well! I am thankful that she is part of your team! Thank you
