I just had a very unpleasant conversation with the office manager, Janet Burns. I asked to speak with her regarding their office canceling my son’s appointment barely 12 hours beforehand. The billing office made an error with confirming insurance coverage; I called this morning and the competent woman on the phone was able to clear up the office’s error in a matter of the click of a button. I wanted to speak to the manager to request that she speak to the staff about more timely communication in the future. I asked what their policy is for verifying insurance and communicating cancellations. Janet Burns was having nothing to do with hearing my concerns. Her comments were:“We have no policy in this office; we treat patients.” (Nice scripted response from a non-medical staff member.)“So your son has Medicaid?” (Yes)“We don’t bill Medicaid.” ( I understand. He has other primary insurance.)“Your son can’t have both Medicaid and private insurance.” (Not at all true and totally none of your business WHY he has both.)“Let me ask YOU a question. Why was your son waiting weeks for an appointment?”That was the final straw for me. I said “Are you really asking me to disclose my son’s personal medical information? I am simply asking you as the office manage to MANAGE your office by making sure insurance is correctly verified (my son provided it THREE times and I gave it a FOURTH time today) before canceling appointments and to give an appropriate amount of time for a patient to resolve any issues.”Janet said. “We don’t have office policy like that. Your son has to pay any copayment or other non-covered expenses.”She hung up on me when I said it was clear she didn’t give a $%>€ about the treatment of my son as their patient. The receptionist who handled my original call was very nice and helpful. I’ll let my son go and see if he likes the medical staff. The office manager, Janet Burns, is not concerned with patient treatment regarding scheduling and communication.

I just wanted to go on and say a big thank you to University Family Med for their amazing hospitality and always being so welcoming. I have referred three family members for a good reason! Saw two other providers than my normal ARNP Kathleen Davis I see today due to a sickness and first time meeting one of the Doctors, Dr. Sarah was super nice and personable. I am going to be a long time patient for sure!

One of the best practices you will ever go to! Everyone is very kind and ready to help. This doctors office is the only one I would entrust my families care to. Plus the new renovations look amazing! I love this place. Go to this practice if you want to feel like a part of the family :)

Its easy to make an appointment, and youre in and out without a long wait. I always feel comfortable and safe there. The front desk staff and nurses are kind and patient. I see Kathleen, and she is very knowledgeable. She never makes me feel rushed. If I tell her about a concern I have, she asks questions and provides enough information to alleviate my worries or address the issue. I would not go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This place is terrible. They eventually dropped me because I refused to pay $30 that was their mistake as they filed the insurance information wrong. We pay copays in advance they shouldn’t have asked for more after AND six months later. They spent more time and effort trying to track down that $30 and give fake collection letters than they ever spent on my actual appointments or refilling my prescriptions. Every prescription no matter what it was for ended up messed up and when the pharmacy would ping the office they never heard back. They’d want me to come in to approve the refill. I was also misdiagnosed with acid reflux. I’ve never had reflux in my life. I was also forced to have a procedure I did not want/need to obtain a birth control prescription. Now I contact an online dr for that prescription- I get a year script that’s NEVER messed up for $25 not $160 per visit.. I wish I could say better as there is potential.. my friend goes to this office and they’re not impressed either - billing is always messed up - surprise!I haven’t been here in quite a few years as I feared retaliation for my review but enough time has passed and I hear they still suck!

Just no. Called multiple times to make sure they take my insurance because it had changed, after they confirmed each time that the do, when I arrived to my appt, never asked for my insurance card to confirm they accept it although I even offered them my insurance AND ID and they said they don’t need either. Turns out AFTER I went to my appointment that they actually don’t accept my insurance and made me pay out of pocket although it was their mistake. Was our family doctor for years and had to cut ties due to front desk AND doctor being extremely rude to my father after he asked for a refill for his INHALER and was told he had to make another appointment for a refill although he just had an appointment the month prior and told him if he’s “too poor” to go to their office, he can go somewhere else. Verbatim. Money hungry unprofessional people.

Sad to say, my overall experience was absolutely disappointing with this office.. I was scheduled for surgery and needed pre-surgery bloodwork, which was completed and results sent to their and myself via my app (but needed Drs to sign off) the next day.. After calling that next day, I was told that the Dr wasn’t in the office to sign off on it so it could be faxed to my surgeon, and to call back the next day.. I was specifically told that it would be on the Drs desk and when they opened at 7:30 the next day and it would be signed and faxed before the first patient was seen.. I called mid-morning asked asked if they had the opportunity to fax it to my surgeon and was told that “No, it wasn’t signed off, and there was only 1 individual within the office that could actually fax it once it was signed”.. I asked to speak to a manager who told me that “I wasn’t anymore important or a priority over any other patient in their office”.. Honestly I was concerned due to the fact that my surgery was already scheduled and if the results weren’t sent within a particular timeline they would need to reschedule it. I called back the next day, once again asking if they had the opportunity to sign and fax the results and was told again “No, we are busy, and there’s only 1 individual in our office who can fax it”... I called my surgeons office, and the surgical coordinator actually called them, and was told the same thing... My surgical coordinator called me and said that they’ve never had this happen before and were appalled and concerned..I called the next day (day 3) and communicated that with the manager who told me “Well then, I guess you’ll need to reschedule your surgery”.. Their attitudes were pretty awful during a few of the conversations.. My surgeons office had the director of services call them and then and only then did they fax the results to them, though she had to wait on hold for 30 minutes, before it was completed. She wouldn’t hang up until they had faxed it.. I’m hoping that no one else has had this experience and their journey will be a smoother one than mine..

I needed clearance for a surgery. Staff was kind but the office was small and very outdated. I know some people are comfortable with it and dont mind it but there was not a computer or device on site (other than at the front) and it just freaked me out. I wont be returning. What kind of doctors office in 2020 isnt filing information electronically? But if you dont mind that, sure, I would recommend.

Personally, this practice has been nothing less than rockstar quality. I often book appointments over my lunch break at work so I don’t even have to take time off, and I even managed to do that with a same-day appointment once. Good hours: earlier open/later close than many offices and Saturday availability. I’ve also never had a long wait; I’m generally seen close to my appointment’s actual scheduled time, which IMO is almost unheard of when it comes to punctuality. My experience with many places is: you are scheduled at 10am, you get there at 9:45, and you’re happy to be seen before 11.Every medical professional I’ve seen here has been thorough and knowledgeable while still managing to express kindness and empathy. The front desk personnel are great. Honestly, it is. The. Worst. To find a good doctor and practice. However, I’m happy to have actually found one.

Personally I had a great experience with them. Yes the receptionist seemed a little new and maybe needed a tad more training, but everyone was nice and had a good sense of humor (I can be crass when I am being funny) I typically get treated like a junkie when I go to the doctor due to being covered in tattoos and being very eccentric, but they never made me feel like I was being judged. Took care of my physical in a prompt manner, and even tried to help with some depression issues that I have. I will be happily going back until they make me feel otherwise. Yet even then I would approach them in person with how I feel opposed to writing a review bashing them without giving them a chance to correct the issue.

Extremely dissatisfied with this office and I would not recommend this office to anyone! I went to this doctor on four separate occasions and never once received treatment. I feel that my money was taken and I did not receive the services; would this have been a retail establishment I would be entitled to a refund...however it is not. I left a message to speak with the office manager and while trying to explain the scenario she raised her voice as well as cut me off multiple times in our brief phone conversation (3:16). I am no longer a patient with this facility and wanted to leave this rating to forewarn potential clients.

This clinic only has one provider for all of the patients and has VERY rude receptionists. My boyfriend needed a refill on his advair and the receptionist told him it’ll take 48hrs because their only provider is busy. Once he explained to her he needs it sooner than that and can’t breath as well without it she told him to just go to the ER. 48hrs later and the doctor STILL hadn’t filled his prescription, on the third day after multiple calls they finally filled it. He had to take an extended lunch to go to the pharmacy and pick it up and when he got there it wasn’t even ready and he now has to wait until later today or tomorrow to pick up his advair.

Despite the friendly staff, this is place is not worth your time.Unorganized, unprofessional, inconsiderate - the top 3 adjectives to describe this place.Twice Ive requested time off of work weeks in advance to go to an appointment only to have them call me THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, while Im still at work, to tell me the practitioner will not be available and wed have to reschedule. That might work for a college student, but not for those of us with real jobs.

This medical center is UNBELIEVABLE. My son needed a physical for school and I brought him here last minute because this location was near my home. I should have read the reviews online before I came here. First off they have no sense of compassion for patients. They try to rush you in and Rush you out without proper evaluation. Heidi Lamoreaux saw my son and myson and I both felt like she asked inappropriate questions during the physical. She was more concerned about me leave my son in the room alone with her and he said no several times but she kept implying it was ok for me to leave the room which I did not. My son said he felt uncomfortable with her as did I. He was there all about 15 mins with the doctor and they then tried to bill be for an extreme about of money for a physical. The office called and Christina in Billing left me a voicemail saying I owe $145 and i need to call. I called back the same day for them to then say I owe now $302. When I asked for what and how is it now $302 she claimed that someone there gave him an vision assessment, physical and other miscellaneous evaluations that they never gave him. This place needs to be investigated for improper billing and medical treatments seriously. I will never come here again. DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF! DONT COME HERE!

My experience at this doctor was horrible. The office manager is kind and very professional, front desk staff is nice, but there is constant miscommunication. If you are looking for a doctor because you have a cough, or high cholesterol, than this doctor may suit you. However,I recently took a leave of absence from work due to ailments that I did not understand. This practice delayed my leave by not being able to properly communicate what they could or could not fax as far as medical documents for referrals for the specialist I required. For my visit to the neurologist they sent over my cholesterol levels. They were also supposed to keep in communication regarding my visits with specialist, and communicate with me. That didnt happen. I had to constantly call them to figure out what was going on. I got a different story every call. Finally, the original paperwork that they filled out for my leave had no dates. When I got my diagnosis-es 7 weeks later, and wished to return to work my job notified me that they needed the dates to approve my leave. Keep in mind that this almost cost me my career. When I asked if they could provide me with the correct dates they gave me terms that they could disclose on paper. Which would have been fine, but when I arrived they told me they couldnt write anything for me. There was a million excuses that they couldnt do it that were all unjustifiable. Regardless, the owner of the business came to the front, and had the audacity after getting frustrated with me, which I can understand to an extent, but she told me if I wanted a note for leave to go ask my mother. I laugh about that now, but I highly recommend against choosing this practice for you or your family, and I agree that this is a money hungry practice. I consistently paid money for appointments, and documents to be filled out. Every visit disappointed me with no assistance to my ailments which I came to understand were ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, and vitamin D deficiency. None of which are life threatening, but enough to cause me to lose my career that I value. Again they provided no assistance, insight, or follow up without me contacting them first. They simply collected a check every wasted visit. I recommend to stray away from this practice. They have bad reviews everywhere online for a reason. Which by the way my girlfriend witnessed this, and gave them a one star review the same day. The owners response was simply, best of luck to you both.

% stars for Dr. Raley but only 2 for the rest of the practice. I went to this practice a few years ago. Dr. Raley is super good. If you have something, she will keep working to find out what it is! Dr. Raley come to Venice we need you here! The front office was totally scrambled and disorganized. My records were misplaced, took forever to get test results. They never called you back unless you hounded them. They were still doing old school with paper files jammed in everywhere. When I needed my meds faxed to pharmacy it took forever with me having to call them and get them moving on it. The office process was frustrating but the Dr. was well worth all the aggravation with everything else. I hope it has changed since then.

I am disgusted by the way Dr. Jane-Marie Raley treated Johnny and I this morning at University Family Medicine Center, PA. She became irate with us when we told her we haven’t been able to do lab work related to the cost and we didn’t see the neuro surgeon she recommended for his tumor; even though his current treatment under his endocrinologist is shrinking the tumor. At his previous appointment her partner at Universal Family Medicine suggested he get tested for ADHD and we were there to follow up with his test results and she treated us like we were simply there seeking drugs when Johnny has been suffering with these symptoms for years. She refused to listen to anything we said, spent less then five minutes talking to us before she stormed out of the exam room and continued to belittle us at the the front desk where she yelled about his personal, financial and medical information. Besides the fact that she made us feel like the dirt on the bottom of her shoe she majorly violated our HIPAA privacy rights. I can’t believe that a medical professional can act this way towards a patient. We paid for an appointment where Dr. Raley spent less then five minutes with us, abused us and violated Johnny’s rights. Please spread the word so that our loved ones do not receive the same horrendous treatment.
