This review is to do with the one staff member that I’ve communicated with. I never got the chance to meet Dr Nystrom. I changed her to my primary care doc as of 2/1/21 and promptly called to make a new patient appointment. I was told by a very rude receptionist that the first appointment isn’t until May. I explained to the receptionist that I need medication and can’t wait until May. She replied that she couldn’t help me. I left two different messages with her to have a supervisor call me and no one called. I then called her back and she said she talked to the supervisor and there’s nothing they can do to help me. There was zero problem solving skills exhibited or even a ounce of caring. Save your time and keep yourself from frustration from dealing with her inept office staff. I’ll now be on the phone with my insurance provider to change my PCP mid-month so I can get the life sustaining medications that I need

The best way I can describe a visit here is by comparing it to taking your car to a shady mechanic. Every visit there’s one or more referral - almost always to someone under the same roof, who conveniently can see you immediately. Multiple times I asked for a referral to someone not affiliated with Advent Health - crickets. Watch out if you follow the referrals, they overcharge for routine tests. Decline to follow the referrals and they’ll stop writing prescriptions, or offer you higher cost alternatives.I’m not a skeptic by nature, but when certain patterns repeat themselves over a long period of time, it becomes more and more difficult to ignore the evidence. While I have no doubt that some of the medical advice I was given was solid, I am no longer fully confident that this healthcare provider is as ethical as I need them to be.I really hope I’m wrong on this, but I’ve decided to follow my instinct and look elsewhere.

Dr. Nystrom is professional, listens well, and is very thorough. I value a more knowledgeable doctor over someone who might just let me diagnose myself.

Dr. Nystrom is a wonderful physician with diverse knowledge base, keeps up to date with various changes in general medicine and takes the time to listen to her patients.

Dr. Nystrom really listened to my concerns and offered ideas to assist in my healthcare at home.

She just does not care
