7 hour wait time for a relatively minor injury. I can understand a busy night in the ER but they replaced the bandage within 30 minutes of arrival but didnt bother to clean or dress the wound properly to be left sitting around for another 6 hours. When politely asked if the wound could at least be cleaned before leaving without any real treatment nurse condescendingly said it could be between 10 and 20 hours before (I really wish I were exaggerating) being properly seen.1 star because apparently an ER staff doesnt have the foresight to clean an open wound before bandaging it when they know its going to be sitting around for another 10 to 20 hours before being sealed against infection. Genius.

Not super long wait, good nurse, nice doctor. Now on antibiotics... Admitted a few days later. Longer wait. Spent a night in the hallway. Again friendly staff.

IF YOU CAN STAY AWAY FROM HERE PLEASE DO . I wish I remember the nurse who answered the phone . She was sooo rude and had no patience. I was overwhelmed after seeing my brother have a seizure and she sounded so uninterested in helping. I even told her I’m not trying to be mean I’m just trying to understand and she goes β€œ I don’t expect you to understand” you should be compassionate and caring for families who are just worried about their family . It was around 10:00 pm last night . If I could give no stars I would . So again do not go here if there’s another option to go anywhere else please do so .

As an out of town visitor from Denver, I became ill and had to go in to see them, it took 3 hours to be seen for my throat, and temperature just to be told to take 3 500mg Tylenol every 4 hours, and see my doctor when I get home. Fast forward to Monday still taking the pills like I was told, fly home, now have a 104Β° temperature, went to my preferred ER in Denver, they got me in I explained the situation and they almost chocked, Id had nearly 10000mg of Tylenol, thats lethal levels, they got me plugged into a medication to clear things out. By this time the pain I was in was no longer bearable. I was transferred to another hospital in Denver later in the morning, they scanned me and found out I had 3 massive, and very infected abscess on my tonsils, had to have them removed in an emergency surgery today. So my over all experience at Cap Med Center nearly cost me my life, will never go there again.

I normally love going to this hospital if I really need help. I was born upstairs. But today I feel so disrespect. I came in feel so awful my dr come in and before even asking about my feeling he asked me if I was on drugs. I said no and he brought up drugs multiple time during our conversation he even asked if I shot up. I kept saying no cause Ive never done ayou yk[oooooo[gkolnything other then medicine prescribed to me. I felt so offended he then told me I was to young to have the symptoms I was feeling he gave me water and sent me home. Before I left my nurse explained to me that they would be more worried if i was older and that they dont mean to offend me by saying my symptoms dont seem real. Which I laughed at ecause he offended me by assuming that because Im young that I do drugs. Then he comment on my crying ( I cry when Im under stress). Overall Im very unimpressed.

Came to the ER at Capitol Medical for chest pains yesterday afternoon and had absolutely no wait. Dr. Kay Moody was the attending physician and I was so very impressed with her calming bedside manner and kindness. I would rate the entire ER staff at CMC highly commendable. Everyone is dedicated to doing heir best job, even the young man preforming the intake window went out of his way to be helpful. Thank you everyone for the treatment I received and I recommend Capitol Medical Center to others.

Grading is based on one nurse. I would not reccomend, I will go elsewhere. Very rude, very NOT Veteran friendly. I heard her lying to someone behind the door. She called security after the person had already left and she watched him walk out of the building. She refused to get a supervisor. Horrible experience.

Had to go to the ER, while I was there I had a nurse named Sharon and I was so scared but she told me shed never lie to me about the pain, she did everything she said and it hurt and I felt relief like she described Im very happy I got too meet someone to turn my mind around.. I also had Dr. Moody, I have never had a doctor that made sure that even tho Im young I still know what was going on with my own health, she was very respectful, we joked around and she kept eye contact the whole time which really showed me she cared

Both doctors and nurses were very helpful, and took time explaining my illness to me. The doctor that was appointed to me spoke very clearly took his time to get to know me and broke down every detail of my illness. The nurse was there checking on me constantly, and offered whatever I needed.

I had an absolutely horrific experience at CMC ER and I hope to never return. I was told that the records I brought with me after being hospitalized the two previous days while on vacation could not be translated from Spanish to English. When I brought up that this was illegal I was left in the room with no care for nearly an hour, mind you most of my blood test results were in Latin based words so quite easy to translate (e.g., Salmonella vs. Salmonela). I was then given an incorrect diagnosis and sent home despite being extremely ill and after telling the doctor on multiple occasions that I had just been hospitalized and was instructed by the doctor in Mexico to immediately go to a hospital in the US when I flew home. The doctor then proceeded to discuss my symptoms, which were completely inaccurate and then she realized she was talking about the wrong patient. I was then discharged but ended up being called the following day and asked to return because the staff realized I needed to be hospitalized due a serious, life-threatening illness; all of this despite bringing my records from my prior hospitalization with my blood results showing clearly that I needed to be hospitalized. To make matters even worse, the nurse and doctor accused me of drug seeking. I’m a well-educated lawyer who went to the hospital with an advocate and could not believe how terrible the care was, I can’t even imagine what others who may not have as much access to medical/legal education or an advocate are going through if this is something that happens regularly. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this hospital if you can.

If I could give this no stars I would. Took my super sick roommate here whos temp came up as low as 92 at home (same thermometer showed normal on me) and as high as 100 in a few days and they ignored us saying it was bad equipment. The nurses and doctors ignored the fact that one of the main reasons we were there besides his temperature was his jaw and ears hurting him and having a swollen lump there. Before discharge when we asked them to check his ears they got very short with us dismissing it as a swollen lymp node when they never even touched it just looked. They discharged him with a diagnosis of a start of a viral/bacterial infection. To figure this out they did a chest xray, an ekg and blood work.Worst emergency room Ive ever been too.

Nurses were great, idk what the hell about the doctor. i went in for serious back muscle pain. When i saw the doctor, he was either under the influence of an upper or he was just like that i dint want to judge the guy but either way, i was very uncomfortable with him. He tried getting me to do lung exrays multiple times because i smoke cigarettes, then insisted my only option was a steroid shot in my back. The doctor then proceded to just leave the room mid conversation and i had to walk into the front office where i waited for a nurse to go talk to the doctor. That wonderful woman was the only reason i was treated properly, fairly, and with my own health and comfort in mind. She promptly came back with muscle relaxer and prescription grade numbing patch prescription and talk to me about how properly tend my back until healed.
