My husband was taken to the ER because of his weakness and illness with the Covid 19...They found he was having atrial flutter and his heart rate was 170 plus. They took very very good care of him for the hours he was in the ER unit until there was a bed available on the 4th floor. I thank them for their great care and saving his life...I hope we do not have to visit again but if we do I will not be as worried as I was when the ambulance took him from our home. Thank all the staff and kind nurses who kept me informed since I could not be there with him

Stay the heck away from this place!!!! The service was great they were able to see me immediately to get a piece of dust removed from my eye. Everything was good until I received the bill. They charged nearly $10,000. It only took the doctor 15 minutes to remove it. The only supplies they used were a needle and some numbing solution. On top of they hospital bill, they sent another bill for the doctor that was nearly $1,000. Whats more they entered my insurance information incorrectly even though they made a copy of my insurance card. It took a couple of calls to get that resolved for the hospital bill. For the doctor bill which as handled by Blue Jacket Physician Services. The first call fixed it for part of the bill, but they neglected to submit part of the bill to insurance. I think they wanted me to pay it since they are going to get a lot more from me than the insurance company. On the second call, they said they would fix it and wouldnt send it to collections since we were still trying to get it worked out with insurance. The third call was from the collections agency. I am still trying to get this mess worked out.

Took advantage of me while under duress and put a contract in my face to sign without explaining anything. Received a ridiculous bill for the limited services provided ice water, drew blood, gave me a medicine to drink all for nearly 7k before insurance and over 2k after.

Absolutely great experience coming in on a Saturday night. The staff was attentive, concerned, and very up front. We appreciated their treatment and recommendations, and just overall service to us. We really appreciated it!!!

I called to see if they had a wait time and what they could do for my symptoms and was told “I don’t know what do you expect.” Very rude woman who answered the phone. I will NEVER be going here even if it was a life or death situation.

Received immediate service. The staff from the nurse to the doctor were compassionate and caring. I really appreciated the time the physician took to provide me with a detailed explanation of my diagnosis, follow up care and prognosis.

Around 10:00 pm I cut the tip of my finger on a kitchen knife. While the wound wouldnt be considered serious, Im on blood thinner and it would not stop bleeding. With the location of the cut, I was unable to butterfly it to close the wound. Im new to the area but had seen the 24 Hour Emergency building so after about 30 minutes of unsuccessfully treating myself, I decided to make the trip. I could not ask for better service. I was treated immediately by very professional but friendly healthcare workers. The wound had to be held closed for approximately 30 minutes before being glued and then bandaged. After being treated, I confidentially completed my registration remotely through a screen. My insurance will be billed and I will receive a balance due later. Been here before and it was amazing,Until today where I was treated by an old blonde lady and a younger one that had no want to be there helping me, they blamed it on “being filled with patients right now”? Not professional at all and very condescending tones before I even made it in to the room. Will not be coming here again.

Very attentive and quick response. Liked all that. What I found curious was they prescribed nothing for me even though they diagnosed viral pneumonia from covid. I would have thought an inhaler or breathing treatments might have been in order, perhaps not. Just anticipated a little more aggressive approach with a 68 year old with covid pneumonia.

My trip cost about $1500 in total. I spent about 30 minutes in an exam room, and had my blood pressure taken. Nothing more. Be prepared.

The courtesy of the entire staff was great. From the xray tech to the nurses and Dr. Egbert, all were friendly and very professional. I arrived at the ER with a scowl and dread but left with 9 stitches and a smile and, I feel, 3 or 4 new friends!

The best care I’ve received from any medical center anywhere hands down. I was seen immediately and the nurses and doctor were so knowledgeable and compassionate. The doctor even called to make sure I received my follow up care. No one wants to find themselves in an emergency medical situation but if you do, you are in very good hands here.

Be aware! This just like going to an actual ER without the wait, but VERY expensive!!!I went to this facility after a fall at work. I went here in case I needed an x-ray that a typical walk in clinic might not have. The staff was friendly and I got right right in. The staff was nice, but I was there for literally 10 minutes. The doctor looked at my foot and said it wasnt broken. No x-ray , diagnostics or anything needed. Good news and I was on my way. No one asked for any payment nor was there anyone to tell me what I might be charged. Over a month later and I get a bill for $1100!!! Then a month after that I received another bill from another billerfor over $600!! The first was the facility fee and the second was the actual doctor fee. Very deceiving and I will not go back...

Had to come here for a drive up covid test for my labor induction next week. The lady that helped me was extremely nice, knowledgeable and caring! Thank you for making it a quick and smooth experience!

Most the time this ER is amazing! Never until tonight have I ever experienced disrespect or been talked down too. Tonight the doctor didn’t believe me anything was wrong and would not treat my pain until it came back that I had a ruptured cyst and then at the end of the night when I got a new nurse she was very condescending and EXTREMELY RUDE. A blonde women with glasses. I am a CNA and a med tech and have never been through such a bad experience with a nurse. Someone needs to explain to her what human decency is.

Overall, I normally would recommend them, but my last visit, wasnt so nice.I had a very common medical issue, and for some reason, they didnt give me any information on how to treat, my issue.I even went back a few days later, with the same result.

Very bad experience, never happens before. I was so happy with this emergency place for Many years , Today was very poor service by the Nurse name Tricia . The X ray doctor said to me and daughter take some snacks for you guys and husband. And this Nurse Tricia said no snacks for you guys only patients. I’m not doing something wrong was there by other dr permission . She did not care , Tricia is not a Professional Nurse . She was talking with other Dr about what happened . She was sharing private information of the patient. I don’t recommend this place with her working she need ASAP more classes to be a better person .

This was my first time here and literally i think i was there for maybe 5 minutes. It was great. I didnt have to sit in the lobby and fill out paperwork matter fact i didnt even sit down in the lobby thats how fast they moved me to a room.

Took my son in for influenza A they tested him and said it was negative. When the nurse did the swab up the nose she asked him to blow his nose first and not to wipe it away. The Dr was rude as all get out. He came back in and said his flu test was negative which I knew was wrong. He had misdiagnosed my son before. I told him that I would go see our regular Dr and low and behold he tested positive for influenza A. The Dr never gave me a diagnosis in the office when I got home I looked at the papers and he put down he had a respiratory infection!!!!! He prescribed no medicine and said nothing to me about this. My son is an asthma patient! He did not have a respiratory infection he had the flu!!! They don’t know how to properly test for the flu. I am very disappointed in this facility and the staff that is there. If you have gotten negative results to tests that you are all most certain are positive go get retested. Will never go back they have no idea what they are doing and are rude and have misdiagnosed my kid twice. Be very careful if you decide to go here. My Dr was very upset about all of this and could not believe they treated us they way they did and by looking at my son it was obvious he had the flu.

Went in for a laceration. Everyone, from security to the Dr, were very friendly, courteous, and professional. I was seen immediately and done in less than an hour. I very much recommend it!

The facility was nice but the bill was outrageous. There was no disclosure of costs - we were shocked when the charges came in. This includes more for an out of network doctor even though the facility was in network.

Hands down, one of the ABSOLUTE BEST ER experiences of my entire life! Took my mom in just before midnight, poor thing was struggling with conjunctivitis, and shes on vacation visiting from AZ. We were in an exam room within two minutes of us being there, and she was seen by a doctor before registration could even do their thing. The doctors, and nurses, and the guy in registration all worked really hard to get us out the door, without making us feel like they just wanted us to leave. We were completely finished within 20 minutes of arrival. They were very understanding, and made us feel valued. Will absolutely be bringing my family here from now on. You guys ROCK!

HCA Midwest Health ER in Olathe has quite possibly the nicest most pleasant ER staff I have EVER encountered. For real...they will be my first choice of ER from now on!!!

Visiting this place for a very obvious problem was an obvious mistake. I would not advise anyone to go here. I was taken to a room where 2 female nurses came in,and neither of them would let me speak a word or tell them why I was there. 5 minutes later a doctor came in and stayed in the room less than 3 minutes. The doctor said he would return and never did. Another 5 minutes later one of the rude nurses walked in handed me some paperwork and said you can go now. They did nothing to assess my problem nor did the doctor give me the referral to a specialist as stated. When I walked out of the room I made another attempt to speak to this nurse and asked to speak to the doctor,again she would not allow me to speak to her,pointed to the exit sign and said even louder theres the exit!!!. If these people do not care anything about doing the job theu are there to do,and do not like working with the public,they need to find another field of employment,which also makes it obvious theyre just there for the money. And the one nurse was more interested in telling another nurse behind her desk about her vacation plans than doing any work whatsoever!!! I have filed a formal complaint and hope the CEO of HCA MIDWEST reads these posts!!!

Best ER experience ever, got in there open wound, out in less than 10 minutes, great staff and the doctors have a great sense of humor.

I went there with a fever in the morning thinking it was an urgent care facility. I was in and out within 10 minutes of being there with a prescription in hand. When checking in, I asked what the estimated cost would be, to which they stated it is typically $100. I received two bills, one from the doctor for over $500 and another one from HCA Midwest in excess of $2,000. The providers here are extremely misleading. I will never go to this place again and would not recommend for anyone.

In and out, diagnosed with flu and Pneumonia. No wait and friendly caring staff!. Been here a couple of times and have had same great experience.

I went in during the early morning hours after battling the stomach flu all night. I got in immediately, and the doctor was able to see me right away. My nurse, Abi, was exceptional! I knew that I was in great hands with her. I was only there for an hour and received two liters of fluids in that time which tells you how quick they were. My dad even says that he may opt to come here in the future since his local ER typically has a wait.To the people saying they charge as an ER, it does say 24 hour EMERGENCY ROOM right on the door so that is no fault of the facility. They even have a list of urgent care facilities at the front desk if you choose not to be seen at the ER.All in all, highly recommend going here!

Didnt have to wait at all to get in. The staff, nurses, and doctor were all wonderful and took great care of me.

Got in very quickly, but the staff was very uncaring and borderline rude. The only staff member who seemed generally concerned for my well-being was the administrative/billing lady. I was tested and diagnosed with Influenza A. They told me I had been sick for so long that Tamiflu would not be effective, which I understood. But then that was it. The doctor left after telling me my diagnosis, but then that was it. The discharge nurse came in and handed me my work note and discharge papers. My boyfriend tried to ask her questions but she was very rude and impatient. She left the room and without even turning to look at us she yelled Oh by the way, you guys can go. I didnt get any recommendations of remedies or ways to feel better. Good healthcare, terrible patient communication and compassion.

Nice staff but nothing was done at my visit no X-rays and gave me a immobilizer that was way to big had a displaced knee cap and they just sent me home and said see a Ortho soon not worth the money

Excellent staff and caring staff. I went in because I had an infected bug bite. I knew CVS/Walgreens clinic would not be equipped to lance the infection and get a culture.

Got in right away and the service was great.

WARNING: this is WAY more expensive than an Urgent Care type place. Come to find out they bill as if they were a regular ER. My pre-insurance bill was $2,000 for 2 stitches and a Tetnis shot. Post-insurance negotiated price was $878. I was in there 30 minutes. The bill hurt way worse than the minor cut. UPDATE: Just got another bill for this same visit, this one from the PHYSICIAN who apparently was not included in the original bill. Pre-insurance cost an additional $1,300, post-insurance negotiated price an additional $166. So total out of pocket is more than $1,000 for 2 stiches in a 30 min visit. UNBELIEVABLE.

Two visits with no resolution and one rude nurse.....extremely high fees, one trip to Shawnee Mission Medical and taken care of with considerable less cost. Should have gone to Shawnee Mission in the first place.

They are horrible they are in such a rush they do not even let you tell them whats wrong. A complete waste of time. I went in for two issues they would only talk about one and told me to leave. Then will charge thousands of dollars.

Doctor did not stitched the wound correctly so I had a delayed r covert not to mention miserably extended and Doctor failed to do an X-ray and when following up with own doctor was the first thing he did and found the broken finger

Very polite and all.... but when its over - you get separate excessive bills from every possible department - from the doctor, from the hospital system, from radiology, from blood-work, etcIts like a bunch of units grouped together for convenience to maximize $$$ while exploiting insurance loopholes?

This is terrible , this is not emergency it is just money making scam, There was a rude nurse who was not even aware of what was going on, I went in for abdomen pain during pregnancy and they asked me to wait for 1 hour and then ultra sound for 45 mins was done and then said everything is fine you can go home, and charged me $7000 and took blood for blood work and to collect the reports you need to visit this place gain and you have to fill the form.
