Visited on a First Friday. Got to chat with the in house resident artist. Chilled in the lounge. Great for relaxing when you want to be out hanging but not walking the streets of DT Oakland in the cold. Really nice employees.

The location is so convenient and the atmosphere is great - a beautifully done space with art on the walls for a rotating show to boot. I loved the Sound Healing gathering that happens the first Sundays in the am. The owner August was very welcoming. Ill certainly go back!

Mohari wellness is a must do! August is thorough and efficient while doing a full assessment of your entire being; mind, body and spirit. August is very knowledgeable and is a great coach in your path to wellness. I highly recommended Mohari wellness. My life has been transformed.

Mohair has great ambiance to help relax the mind and body. The staff is extremely welcoming and hospitable, they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Mohair is one of the best wellness centers I have ever experienced. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Amazing! My experience was great from the moment I stepped in; the space itself gives off such a warm feeling.Ive had treatment from both August and Christina and they do an exceptional job! I went to August because I was battling a head cold for quite sometime. He gave me an assessment at first and then started the acupuncture treatment. The next day I felt so much better! It was fantastic...I received a massage treatment with Christina for my upper back/neck (stiff neck) and this was just too good. Im pretty picky when it comes to massage therapists too because my mom is one, but Christina has great hands and is so kind! Not to mention I had better mobility in my neck after.Overall AMAZING! I cannot wait to start recurring treatments with both of them :)

I had the pleasure to be treated by August and Christina, both of them are amazing practitioners, super professional, respectful, and very knowledgable. The acupuncture sessions and the massages really improved my physical wellness. I highly recommend Mohari Wellness! They make you feel really comfortable and you also feel safe with them.

This was my first time taking Japanese acupuncture at mohari. The course was well organized (thank you August)and well presented (thank you Monika). The venue was easily accessible. I recommend it.

They have the best teas. The sound bath is amazing in a way you’d never expect, and everyone is so nice and well intentioned.

Very displeased with the customer service. Disorganized, presumptive, and rude. The owner made a number of mistakes with my booking, and not only didnt apologize, but tried to make me feel like his mistakes were my fault. He was rude to a Spanish-speaking customer while I was waiting for an appointment, and literally shooed the man out the door and closed the door in his face. My massage was painful, did not last the full 90 minutes that I paid for, and I was never asked about any injuries, sensitivities, or preferences. I am sad to give a negative review of a local business, but my experience here was so awful that I almost left in tears of frustration. I would love for this facility to take this review to heart and consider the way that they treat customers.

Mohari Wellness is an inspired space! I have attended two continuing education workshops there with Monika Kobylecka, who teaches Kiiiko Matsumoto-style acupuncture. Much gratitude to August for bringing this brilliant teacher to Oakland and for providing such a beautiful and healing space to hold our workshop. Im looking forward to coming to one of Moharis sound healing events some day soon!
