This was an amazing place to stop off and walk through, I had no idea Oakland had anything like this. Really peaceful area to walk through. The climate was perfect. The incline is really minimal very easy to walk. We didn’t run into any mountain lions or bears, overall a great walk. I didn’t see any bathrooms or any places to fill up water.
Quick access to two trailheads – Golden Spike, which leads into Redwood Regional Park, and MacDonald, leading into Chabot Regional Park – directly off of Redwood Road. Super handy!
The nature is gorgeous
Easy parkinglot with access to both Chabot and redwood regional parks
Move along folks. nothing to see here. nope.
