Mark is the best! I would recommend him 100% for any short cut, though I cant speak for womens cuts. I wouldnt go to anyone else in the area. He is hilarious, excellent at his work, and you cant beat the quality for the price. And hes pretty much a one-man business supporting his daughters college education (his wife cuts on some mornings). I cannot emphasize enough, I love my cut every time and I always leave with a smile on my face.

CASH ONLY BTW. Mark is the owner and only barber there and sometimes his wife Rose is there. He does it just how I like and in a timely manner and tries to get to you as fast as he can when hes busy with appointments. Very friendly. His wife does female hair and styling I believe too but this is just a guys preference review so keep that in mind for females. If youre thinking of going on a weekend I would recommend calling because he gets very busy.

Ive been going to this place for years! You could not meet a nicer man than the owner Mark. He has cut my hair through many diffrent styles. I have always been happy with his work. Honestly i used to jump from barber to barber hating each cut i got. But Mark has been cutting my hair for over 5yrs now and I finally have a regular spot that i know ill be happy with once I leave.

Clean, quiet, good parking! Park boulevard. My hair stylist just relocated there. My 1st time was today. I really enjoyed the vibe. She is not a braider but weaves, cuts, natural hair, press, flat iron and colorist. Formally, of Dolls Weave Bar. I shall be back

Best hair cut place ever! Mark is super experienced and can do anyone’s hair. Price is totally reasonable, in fact, a steal for what you get from Mark who has a of of experience and mad skills. I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Can’t imagine going anywhere else!

Mark is a great hairstylist and really nice guy. I am new to the Lake Merritt area and did a little research on the internet and thought Id give Empress Hair Styling a try. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. I went in there with a couple images of hairstyles off the internet that I was trying to emulate.... Mark knocked it out of the park! He cut my curly hair really well and gave me a super clean fade that comes with 25 years of experience! The man is a talented hair cutter and I will definitely be back in a month for another go round! Highly recommended and very reasonably priced!
