I was a patient at pure healthy back a few years ago to treat my pain causing sciatica. I loved it very professional listened to me in detail.. and didn’t force me to do any exercise or movement that caused extreme pain. They worked with me according to my strength and abilities at the time and the stronger I got they encouraged me to do a bit more. After my back surgery I went straight to work and didn’t resume my physical therapy at our healthy back. I’m planning to resume the therapy there now years after my surgery because I cannot find a comprehensive physical therapy center. I did circuit training activities. Strength and core training, Pilates type exercises according to my range of motion and strength getting better each week. They offer massages, yoga, meditation which I earned by keeping my appointments. They really focused on not just the body but the mind and spirit.Wonderful and courteous staffI miss them and I will be calling soon

I have been going to Pure Healthy Back for about three weeks. The staff are friendly and professional. Im pleased to be working with experienced people. My last PT experience involved working with folks right out of college or interns. Nothing against them, but they seemed too young to understand my issues and problems.I would not hesitate to recommend Pure Healthy Back to anyone that needs PT.

After over a year of chronic back pain, I was referred to Pure Healthy Back in Novi. I had tried numerous things to get over the pain including chiropractic, but nothing seemed to improve it. The people at PHB assessed my situation, measured my back strength, then got to work on a program to address my needs. They worked closely with me and monitored my progress at every visit. As I grew stronger, my back pain subsided. To accomplish this, I was given stretches and a strengthening routine that helped me achieve my goals. Going forward, I will continue this routine knowing that I can live without constant pain. The staff at PBH have been professional, courteous and caring as they helped me along. The facility is clean and provides a relaxed setting for your visits. I strongly recommend Pure Healthy Back!

Nice people, but missing basic equipment.I’m coming in to recover from spinal fusion surgery three weeks ago. I use a walker and can’t push, pull, bend, lift, or twist. And I can’t hold anything over 5#. The building and setup ensures that I have to perform at least four of those in an hour.TL;DRThe staff are wonderful, and the Facility Manager got with me pronto to try to resolve the issues. Second, the facility appears quite impressive, but it lacks the basic necessities. Meaning it’s probably a great place to heal if you’re not that bad off. I’d recommend going elsewhere if you need serious recovery or some semblance of privacy.Full VersionThe initial evaluation visit was great. Very thorough with lots of warm fuzzies. Unfortunately, the reality of receiving care was much different, at least for me.First, the drop off/pickup area is a joke. One car can easily cover the handicap ramp, and two cars fills the overhang and definitely covers the ramp.— the Facility Manager called later to let me know there are at least two other entrances.Second, getting through the vestibule is a challenge. I’m sure it’ll be nice when it’s finished, but it’s very walker unfriendly and changed significantly as tiles are ripped up and replaced. The evaluation visit was one day prior to the therapy visit.— the Facility Manager mentioned that she thinks only one of the entrances is under construction.Third, the door into the office is super heavy and doesn’t have a push button, meaning the entryway violates ADA guidelines. The helpful, friendly folks at the desk have to run between the phones and opening the door for their injured patients.— the Facility Manager clarified that they’ve asked building management for this automated door option many times, and CoreConcepts Inc (building a management company) says it’s too expensive. Which is interesting given that the building itself was built after ADA was passed.Fourth, who doesn’t have a nu-step or sit-down massage chair?! My options were to hurt my knees or torque my hips to do the warmup. Later I had to magically hold my back straight while figuring out how to lie down flat on my tummy with very little support from the therapist. in other words, do a plank.— the Facility Manager stated that she can request to purchase any needed equipment. I got the impression (although she didn’t state this) that the request might be denied. Additionally, purchasing these items can take weeks from order to arrival and setup.Fifth, I didn’t see any curtains in the care area. I did, however, see someone in an open gown getting treatment. You have to traverse lovely, large array of machines (no sarcasm! the place looks hi-tech, and fantastic) to change into a hospital gown, then sit in a very uncomfortable chair or lie on the table in the wide open room.— I didn’t verify, but my assumption is that these curtains also fall under the purchase request statement.— Note that they have very nice private care rooms. But my therapist wasn’t with me the whole time, which could be why I had to stay in the main area where they had one person overseeing several of us working on our own activities.Put all this together and my spine recovery has been set back at least two weeks after just one visit there, and I’ve returned to my prior PT Facility, Neil King’s Novi Location. Also note that one shoulder has a new rotator cuff injury from the plank attempt that I spent over a grand to get fixed a few months ago. Hopefully Pure Healthy Back will help cover re-repairing this injury, but I have not yet asked.
