I have worked at Alternatives ABA for over 2 years and have grown into a position where I am extremely happy to go to work each day. I feel supported and able to put my input in daily to help grow the company. Being a part of a strong female led organization means a lot to me. I also feel like the BCBAs that I get to work with are amazing and LOVE what they do as much as I do. Coming from running my own ABA center, this place has grown tremendously even in the short time Ive been here. We have put so many protocols and learning into place, it truly is amazing. I love my job and getting to work at Alternatives ABA. I strongly recommend giving them a try.

I can proudly say that I DO work at Alternatives ABA. I have for more than two years. I have worked for two other providers. The staff here is always listened to, well cared for and supported. This job is tough and people do burnout but out of the three places that provide ABA that I have worked at this one is above and beyond. These kids are believed in and cared about. We work hard every day to make sure that we are making a positive impact on these kids. I have never ever not once felt pressure to put anything before the care that I provide. It is tough to work here because expectation is that people show up ready to do their jobs well. Families depend on us. If you aren’t committed to that it will be hard for you. Alternatives ABA is serious about ABA and the way that ABA, speech and occupational therapy can work together. I am proud to work here. The bad reviews definitely come from people that were asked to leave and are unhappy about it. I’d be upset too. We have fun here and are like a family. But If you aren’t here to work for these kids you won’t make it. And if you are a parent reading this I’d like to tell you that I think you are amazing.

We are pretty private and I used a different last name to do this, but sharing our experience is important to me. We were diagnosed at Childrens two years ago. the developmental pediatrician asked where we live and told us to go straight to Alternatives ABA. Our son was not speaking at all and really not able to play with other children. Two years later, we are preparing to start kindergarten in September. He is able to speak and tell us what he wants and needs and he plays well with other kids. We are still working on many things but the developmental pediatrician is pleased and so are we. We feel that the combination of ABA, SLP, and OT is why we made this progress. We talk about ABA alot, but forget how important speech and OT are. Our sons BCBA talks with the OT and SLP weekly and they all work together on goals. We were all in when we saw the size of the indoor and outdoor play spaces for the kids. This ABA looks a lot like playing and there are a lot of toys and swings and trampolines. We have been very pleased with our team and will continue to use Alternatives when school starts in the fall. They also have heavy duty security cameras and electronic entry. I feel very safe leaving my son here for his sessions. They have also just built a new space in Norwell. I have only seen some of it, but it looks super cute. It looks like the work spaces are little houses. My point, call them. We feel very fortunate to get ABA, speech, and OT here. I would encourage any parent to call them. We wanted to stay the first day when we saw all of the toys and trampolines on the tour.

As a past team member, please do not send your child here. This company prioritizes billing over patient care, which inevitably leads to burn out. During my short time there, we had many complaints with therapist changes because parents were always given new therapists because of how the organization treats their employees (i.e therapists were leaving due to burn out and inadequate treatment). I eventually left after feeling defeated being face to face with clients all day, given not nearly enough time for treatment planning, AAC evaluations, etc. I complained with nothing resolved. Your child will only be a number and a billable code here. I advise all parents to seek services elsewhere.

My son goes here and we love everyone there. Always look around for what works for you and don’t think you can’t change providers.

We had two providers prior to landing at Alternatives ABA. We regret the time wasted elsewhere. Our child has made progress beyond what we hoped. We barely saw the BCBA at BOTH of our other providers. Therapists were rogue and making decisions I dont think they should have been. Progress-finally. I wish we started here and cant help but wonder where we would be if we had. *This post written using a pseudonym to protect my childs identity.

As a homeschooler I was always wary of seeking ABA providers because I was concerned that they wouldnt respect our desires to homeschool. Alternatives ABA works with the goals of their clients and their families to create therapeutic, effective programs for children with all ages. Im very happy with the treatment my teenage children with ASD are receiving from this organization. One of my children cries whenever we have to miss going to the center.

Please don’t send your children here. This place is an absolute mess.
