The caregivers and staff were very patient and persistent, notably both the Social work team and Nursing directors who helped us. We are very appreciative of their holistic approach in helping us transition back home with the care they provided and assistance in setting up VNA services at home afterwards as well. Many sincere thanks!

My grandmother was placed in this facility early February because the in home nurse suggested it, due to the fact my grandmother kept standing up and falling refusing our help. She was in this facility about 2 weeks before I got the call that she had fallen and broken many bones. Next day she was fell again and was transported to SSH and later than night passed away. She was put in this facility to have safe monitoring 24/7!! WHY did these people not watch her when she is on fall watch?! My grandma passed away because these people couldnt do their jobs. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE

I came to Royal Norwell by way of my hospital case manager. The facility, rehab and clinical team are excellent. I would definitely recommend a rehab stay here to my family or friends, as long as I have a bed!

The hospital I was in directed me to come to Royal Norwell. I feel good after having rehab services here. Everything was good. Im looking forward to returning home because Im ready and cant wait to walk around! I would recommend this facility to others. I didnt love the food and I wish i was able to get out of my room more but I understand the reasoning because of the pandemic.

I came to Royal Norwell directly from the hospital who referred me. I feel fantastic, I thank God I came here! I felt so much affection from all the staff. You get treated like family. It will be the #1 place I will tell everyone to go. I have nothing but good things to say, everything and everyone has been wonderful! I will miss the people and hope to come visit when I can.

I live down the street from Royal Norwell and decided to put my sister here for short term rehab. She has a very unique situation which the staff were really good! They were kind, respectful and truly went above and beyond for her. I felt that this was one of the cleanest facilities I have ever been to. Some of the activities could be better tailored for her but other than that, she is ready to return home. If I need to explore long term placement, it will be right here.

This is my FOURTH stay at Royal Norwell and any time I have short term rehab needs, I always request to come here. I love the atmosphere, the nurses and the aides who have been consistent through all of my stays. Part of me doesnt want to leave; Im going to be lonely and miss everyone here but Im happy to leave feeling more confident!

I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, very family oriented, warm and inviting. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for skilled rehab or even long term care. The staff really cares about you, like family. You can voice your concerns and they will follow up immediately. Wish I would have found Royal earlier.

I love this place. The staff and nurses are the best. The food is great. 2 thumbs up for the chef. Maintenance was right there when you needed him. And did a great job. The place was very clean. They listen to your problems and would address them right away. This is a friendly environment with lots to do. Ive been to other rehabilitation centers and this one rates a 10. Id live here if I could lol. Im going to miss everyone here when I have to go home.

The staff is wonderful, very accommodating and always answered my call light. The food varies - some days are better than others. Pat (CNA) never stops working and is always available. The overnight nurse always came and attended to my needs as well. Overall, I would gladly come back if I need to come back to a rehab/nursing home. Thats why I chose this one , ive been here before. It is a major improvement from when I was here last. Tracy in admissions is wonderful - she came back with the information I needed quickly.

Visiting my father as I type. The smell is disgusting as usual. Literally watching them go room to room washing floors with the same dirty water. No one says hello. They stand around whispering to each other, never lifting their heads to acknowledge you are walking through. Five men share one bathroom. The aids sit around the living room on their phones which makes it very uncomfortable to go in with your family member as no one offers up a seat. This is a tough job. There are nurses that are great and my father is very sick. You get what you pay for with the nursing aids.

I’d give 0 stars if I could.Absolutely appalling “work” done by the CNAs on the west wing (Alzheimers unit). Management must hire people who aren’t certified or just don’t care about YOUR elderly family who need attentive care. Some hardly speak English which the majority of patients speak only English so the language barrier is an issue, patients are ignored by staff, and job duties are neglected.CNAs are lazy and neglectful.Protect your family and don’t give these people your money or trust to take care of your elderly family.A good portion of staff are caring for the patients and family of patients but the lack of care displayed for the most vulnerable patients is disgusting and inexcusable.

Viewed this nursing home. It smells like urine. I wouldnt put my worst enemy here. Its a dump. the sad thing is, the nurses and people who work there are so nice. Too bad the owners are like slumlords and dont care how their patients live or how their employees have to deal with the gross smell all day.

Avoid putting your loved one here! My mother went here for rehab and it was not a good experience. The place looks nice but management does not care. The nursing director Crystal seemed nice at first but it was an act, she was unprofessional and failed to follow through on our concerns. Overall I was very disappointed.

Sitting here on a Sunday with my Dad and a clogged toilet shared by 5 men. No one knows where a plunger is but the nurse coming in later will know. He has to change oxygen to go to a different bathroom. He’s regular oxygen machine is at an 8 so going to a portable will put his oxygen to the 50’s and it will take hours to get him back up. Border line abuse

The medical providers here are nice, however the management does not follow the laws that are in place to protect patients. They are sneaky and deceptive bullies. If you care about your loved ones, I would encourage you to look elsewear. This establishment’s only concerned with $$$.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. More than 75% of the staff is new to the facility , every week there are new people because it’s a revolving door and they hire people without experience and do not train them, nursing staff is nice but it is not safe. They are so understaffed that at times your loved one may be cared for with unsafe staff to patient ratios resulting in falls injury Infection or death of the loved one due to neglect. The new administrator ED thinks he’s running a resort and has no care for the patients and doesn’t allot staff to order necessary supplies to save money for the company. The director of nursing Crystal doesn’t prepare her nurses for their jobs and it shows, she appears very friendly but it is fake and you can tell she is just in the job for the money, they let scare off all the good nurses and the horrible ones who stay. Agency nurses have no clue what goes on in the facility and have reported they will never pick up another shift after working in that dump.I kept my father here for a week and I worried every day about whether or not he would make it through the night and when you try to call to speak to someone nobody knows any answers .the whole unit smells like urine and the unit manager does nothing about her lazy staff and patients clearly being neglected in their own waste. If I could give 0 stars I would

The nursing care is adequate, understaffed. The director refers to himself as the Sheriff. They do not have family care meetings. They are all about the money. If you can, chose some where else for your loved one. Ed Herrmann is the Director, he doesnt care about what is going on right under his nose. He has no CLUE. He has only been there since April and has not done anything to improve the facility. Shame on him. If i could give less than ONE star I would have.

My mom was in this facility from April to September 2017. I’m her guardian and health care proxy. The social worker was fired in May as well as the executive director. They didn’t replace the social worker until early August. My mom was on the “dementia unit” however, they couldn’t deal with her. They sent her out to the hospital frequently and never bothered to ask me if it was ok or inform me! The nursing director refused to listen to the fact that she was there for five days with a broken foot and they did nothing. The care was awful. It’s supposed to be a dementia unit but they don’t know how to deal with dementia patients. The director of nursing also caused drama because I called her on her “work” phone during the work day and left her a message. She got angry that I should have called her personal cell phone?! Very unprofessional. Some of her clothes went missing. A few nurses did take good care of her. They gave me someone else’s new flowers and clothes when I picked up my mom’s belongings!
