Best eye doctors.I have a severe astigmatism. Left eye was alway blurry. Dr. Sharkey took so much time and care- with me. She fitted both eyes for “hard” (gas perm.) lensesAnd made my world clear. Forever grateful. Thank you guys!!!

I am responding on behalf of my mother who is a senior. When my mother asked what a refraction was the woman told her if she doesn’t want it she can get up and leave now! Upon asked again, she said the doctor won’t examine her without it and told my mother she can get up and leave if she didn’t want it. My mother responded that she only was asking what it was. Needless to say, it will be the last time she goes there after being a loyal customer for over ten years. They need to hire more professional and respectful employees.

Called to set up an appointment. The The receptionist didn’t even want to take my information. Because I was looking for an appointment and said if I find something closer I will call back and cancel. Highly unprofessional will never use this location.

I have been going to this optometrist for years and have been very happy with them until last week. Last week I picked up a pair of contacts they had ordered for me. One of the lenses was irritating my eye, causing redness and tearing. To be clear, I am not blaming the office for this issue. Since I was having this problem I called to see what could be done since the lense was unwearable. Sue got on the phone and I explained the issue. She told me I could bring the lense back in and they would see what they could do. I mentioned that my prescription had changed and was now the same in both eyes so I was unsure what lot the lense had come from, which was unfortunate. At this point Sue got very agitated and started raising her voice. She told me wrong information about my prescription. She blamed me for the issue with my lense, since I did not try the prescription before ordering. When I tried to explain it was not the prescription but something wrong with the lense, she raised her voice and told me she did not have time for me. About 2 hours after the call she called me back and left a message confirming I was corrected about my prescription, although she never admitted she was wrong and I was right, and asked me to bring in the lense. When I brought back the lense she came out confirmed again my prescription and took the lense. She has never apologized for raising her voice at me and never admitted that she gave me incorrect information about my prescription.

I was a patient for many years. I neglected making appointments when I had lasik surgery which corrected my vision. When reading glasses became a necessity, I wanted to have glasses I could wear all the time for work reasons. I went to another establishment (chain) due to insurance purposes. I was unhappy with the exam and follow up. I just went back to using store bought reading glasses. I should have gone back to Angello Sharkey & Kokoskys office originally. They did a thorough exam, answered all my questions and suggested options. I believe my displeasure with the other exam and service was because of my expectations due to previous experience with Angello Sharkey & Kokosky.

They give a full comprehensive exam, very nice, answer all your questions.
