My son has mild autism and depressive/OCD spectrum disorders. I sent him to my colleague, for med management, especially in light of the fact that few decent prescribers are available. I was shocked when my 20 something son gave me a run down on the cold evaluation he received from the doctor and how much time he spent writing up why he could not see his run of the mill set of disorders, all on my sons time and dollar, which was not cheap by any means. In our business, his write up was a sort of CYA. He was happy to do a consult but had not intention of treating my son, who went on to the long search of finding a psychiarist in todays climate. There was nothing unusual about my sons presentation that might warrant a referral to a more experienced provider. I only add this as I see there is a 5 star rating by one person and 5 gold stars by the doctors name. Signed, A concerned mother and MD.
