This a good place for Health care providers... Although , 3-6 years ago..., before this place opened up their very own Urgent Care. It has severely affected the service that was initially provided at Pioneer Valley Medical, with Primary Care Drs that know who you are.., from being a patient for almost 20 years, long before they even moves to this location , from where they originally started on Conz St... They grew..., them with the addition of radiology , and added so much more for their patients. Then came Urgent care to this location , which has become affiliated with Baystate Medical now.. A lot has changed, and still being a patient at this time... Coming out of the pandemic.. With Primary care doing 5-8min phone calls..., that requires a copay for less then 10mins..., Kinda strange and with everything else that this pract6has changed , for what they say is Best , in the future I could see the board including these 5 min phone call , quote Drs appointments.. I will not be surprised to see this continuing and added to a part of their QUOTE Customer Service for the patients.. All this does is affect the way this practice is changing into a practice that is much larger , less attention to patients needs... As Long as they keep billing Insurance Co. for a visit , with a 5 minute phone call... Then Ill be quietly looking for another practice, for the next 20 years of my life. If this is what you would like and are inters in, then by all needs this is the place for you!! If you like not having to repeat your life story every 3-5 Months with the same Dr youve had for 4-5 years and expect them to recognize you in public!! More important when they see you , then they remember... Unfortunately my Dr that I had for 20 years retired after being one of the founding partners.. Ive had 3 different Drs, which is insane.. That was do to staffing.. Nurse practioners quickly jumped boat and went on to better places , I guess... Also , out of my last several to 10 visits, I have only noticed 1 reception worker that always has a smile 😃.... But, the others are frustrated and the whole place seems to have changed in a Major jump.. In my simple opinion..., it has not worked well for the patients that have stuck with this practice through all of these changes. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

To doctor Lisa Coughlin, my new, now former primary care who could not listen me. I came in with a mental health crisis because of a lack of medications and physical injuries. She refused to do any medical tests of any specialists I was working with. She refused to do any examinations or care for my physical injuries that were severely limiting my ability to get my medications over state lines. She also refused to refer me to a therapist or psychiatrist (at least in that first visit - I had to call back and hastle the poor staff.) She instead opted to give me two options: go to the emergency room every night until my medication withdrawls were over, or call a crisis line. Not sure how she thinks a crisis line will help someone whos life is objectivelt unraveling due to a lack if medical care, and impending withdrawls that will leave me crippled or in hospice in a couple days. I get that the medical system is completely overwhelmed right now, but I have never experienced anything like this. They still tell me my only option to get medical care or get my medications from a psychiatrist is to go to the hospital, or go through 2 months of withdrawls until a next appointment with someone else... So, Lisa Coughlin. Please see this, and know that you could have helped, in some way. You still could, if you cared to give me any options that didnt end with me in the hospital. I was just looking to find a solution, and she got frustrated and defensive for not having an immediate answer, rather than trying to find some way she could. It was not out of your power to do help. It was your job to find a solution. You were paid to not help me.

I have to play phone tag in order to receive important medical information. This is so annoying. No one ever answers the phone and when they do, its to take a message to have someone call me back. Its really inappropriate to never be able to have easy, simple access to the doctors and nurses I work with and this system is a complete burden to anyone seeking healthcare here.

I called the office to find out they cancelled my appointment because their provider changed their schedule. They did not bother to tell me. Nice job.

I feel blessed to have Dr. Garretson and his team working with me.From the moment I had to choose a new provider over 5 years ago I have had no regrets. Considering the insurance restrictions that are constantly changing and making it harder for Doctors and other health care providers to just treat their patients, I’m impressed. Not only did I feel comfortable telling him my entire history without the fear of being judged but he is a great listener. This practice has great receptionists and nurses that are always willing to do whatever you need from them which is rare. Thank you for always taking care of my needs ❤️.

The doctors and staff at this facility are top notch. Unfortunately you wont be able to reach this facility by phone, you can only reach a call center nearby, where the staff are unhelpful and often times rude.It took me over an hour and 4 phone calls just to talk to another human, who then was extremely rude and short with me.I suppose this is to motivate people to not make appointments, and instead to use the more expensive Urgent Care. If there was another facility with staff of this quality nearby, I would transfer.Edit: Today I visited this office again for a relatively simple issue. I was left waiting in the lobby for an hour with no information only to be told they had forgotten about me. Review is now one star. Stay far far away from this poor excuse for a medical facility.

I have been with this group for quite a while. They have urgent care in the same location. Even if you are a regular patient, and have an appointment, you must wait in line to check in. This means that people who are not patients there come in for urgent care, and they have to provide all their information which takes a long time. If you have three or four of these folks in front of you, youre in for a serious wait. You cant sit down because you have to stay in line - very difficult if you are sick or have a bad back or other issues. My primary care physician was wonderful, but I was not diagnosed with the flu when I went in for urgent care and saw a different doctor. I ended up spending nine days in the hospital. Being a regular patient here is of no benefit, so I am moving on. I will miss Dr. Robert Smith, however.

I had a primary care physician at this location set up by the recommendation of my insurance. I called so I could go in for a routine physical in order to be accepted into my new job and I was told I would get a call back in 24 hours. I called 2 times in the next days everyone told me I would get a call back in 24 hours. On the sixth day I called and demanded to speak with a supervisor who told me they no longer take my insurance. Whose responsibility was it to tell me I am no longer a patient at this institution before I even called to get the most routine procedure. Baystate the institution has been protested by nurses and I am ashamed that I even utilize their services at all until they wasted my time for a week and I now no longer have a doctor and have to pay out-of-pocket for a physical just so I can get a new job. I would review them at zero if that was allowed.

Little more than an urgent care facility. I have never seen an actual physician here.
