I am a psychotherapist in the Pioneer Valley who has been done some training at the Couples Center and who also refers my individual clients and their significant others to the Center. The developmental model used by the Center is a wonderfully useful framework for understanding and working with couples. They not only have a theoretical guide to understand what couples need, they are full of thoughtful interventions and approaches to working with even the most difficult couples. This means that when you refer someone to the Couples Center you will get a therapist who is well trained and who has smart, dedicated colleagues with which to review their cases and get further insight. The people I have sent to the Center report that their therapists were wise, surprisingly astute, and compassionate. I give the Center my highest recommendation.
