I contacted Chameleon about a month before my wedding in a panic. The salon I originally selected fell flat when it came to what I wanted… I had a large bridal party- 8 girls and we all wanted to look our best; hair and makeup. Thankfully they were available for my wedding day and nailed it!! They came to me with a team of 4 talented women who worked tirelessly for hours making sure we all looked amazing! And we did! I couldn’t have been more happy with how everyone looked. The makeup was natural yet stunning and the hair styles were flawless. All of my girls commented on how professional, kind and fun. They really did an amazing job. If I could give more stars I would!

Carleen and her team are TOP NOTCH!!! This review is well overdue as my wedding was a few years ago but better late than never. I had a BIG Bridal Party. When we arrived at my venue they were all set up and ready to go. They had a schedule of when everyone was getting their hair and make-up done and were so efficient. Everyone looked beautiful! I loved my Hair and Make-up. I ended up doing 2 trials for make-up as I wasnt 100% sure I loved the smokey eyed look I chose and wanted as alternative and Carleen happily obliged to schedule me a second make-up trial because she knew how important it is for a Bride to feel beautiful on. her wedding day. Carleen even took the time to quickly style my husbands hair after she was done with my Bridesmaids. I cannot recommend them enough if you need Hair and Make-Up Services for your wedding. My bridal party got their hair and makeup done here for my wedding and everyone looked stunning! My mom has short hair and wasnt sure if itd be worth getting it styled, but it looked so good afterwards, shes glad she got it done. Everyone was also really friendly and it was a fun experience.

When I moved out of state I tired to find a local salon that matched Chameleon’s standards for quality, talent and all around exceptional service but no other salons came close. Recently got my haircut by Roseanne and she did a great job! Im usually very picky about my hair but she did exactly what I was wanting and it looks great! The salon was very nice and had great staff, cant wait to go back!

Very strange that they departmentalize the stylists. I was bounced between two people when I came in for a color and a cut. I was off put by the fact that the girl whos been coloring and cutting my hair for three years was not allowed to cut my hair, only color. Made loyalty difficult when I only wanted to get a trim, I found myself going elsewhere.

Charlene made the impossible turn into fabulous. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair style ❤👍

With Covid going on and living with an at risk person, I was pleased with the precautions they are taking for Covid safety. Also, everyone in friendly, which is a plus to me. Prices are also quite good.

I went to get my roots touched up by Taylor today. She did a fantastic job. She took the time to listen to what I wanted done to my hair. She did everything I asked for and it looked better than my first stylists work. My roots were done perfectly and blended into the color of my ends. The salon was clean, a good environment, and the hand massage was an unexpected added bonus. Will definitely be returning! It is on the more expensive side, but you are absolutely getting your moneys worth.

We moved to New Haven from New York City, and I chose Chameleon after getting amazing cuts at the Bumble and Bumble school for years. The hair cuts and color Ive had done here are as good or better than anything I had done in New York. The products I buy are always fabulous. The staff is always really sweet. I keep coming back because its a lovely experience, and my hair always looks fantastic, even after I wash/dry/style it myself later on. Theyre especially good at tailoring my hair cuts to descriptions of what I want *and* the way my hair grows/looks.

I went in and got a consultation for my roots and a touch up for my color and a hair cut. They quoted me 260 and nbd. Paid. They had me leave with green tinted roots! I went back and they tried to tone it but left me with yellow roots instead. There go 8 hours or more of my time getting it done for nothing. Now getting it touched up somewhere else. Do NOT come here for color. 2 stars because everyone was very nice and the cut was great.

Been going to this salon for 7 years. Great staff, all stylists listen to your requests and give great consultations. Mini spa experience with complimentary hand treatments and hot towel to deep condition hair. Color experts make sure hair is exactly the same every time..and help with creative ideas when a change is in need. Highly recommended!!!!

I love getting my hair colored here. They always do exactly what I want and the exact color as well. Ive been here three times already and have never been disappointed. Great service and their staff is very professional and knows what theyre doing.

Wayne has been cutting my hair for some time now. I appreciate the efforts the staff puts in place to ensure a high level of customer service. They are always very accommodating if I have to move my appointment. Everyone is very friendly.

I have ethnic hair...they dont do well with ethnic hair. In August, 2014 they over processed my highlights destroying my hair shaft. Over $230 spent that day and my natural, ethnic curls are gone. Its been agonizing growing out the damaged hair while trying to maintain the integrity of my new hair growth. One and only time I went and I will never return.

My hair is wavy and frizzy especially in humid weather. It grows like a chia pet :) in humidity! I spoke with Vinnie about the Brazilian Blowout. I did not want to completely lose my waves but wanted to control the frizz in humid weather. I was hesitant because I did not want to incur damage to my hair. So happy that I did it! It has changed my life! It is healthy, full and not frizzy! Vinnie did an amazing job and assured me that it would not damage my hair. Blow dry time went from 25 minutes to 5 minutes. I went out in yesterdays storm and absolutely no frizz. Prior to the blowout my hair would frizz by the time I walked to my car!. I also received a compliment on my hair from a stranger at the gym. She asked me who cuts my hair! First compliment I have every received! Thanks Vinnie!!! Great Job! Woo Hoo!

I have been coming here for probably about 4 years now. I decided to give them a try when I had a horrible color experience at a mall salon. I looked up some Google reviews to try and find a good salon close to me. I gave them a call and explained my hair was hot mess, The receptionist was very nice and said she was going to set me up with Meredith who was really good at color corrections. She was AMAZING, she was basically able to transform my hair back to normal and did a great job cutting it as well. Since then Ive been changing my hair from brown to blonde to violet to ombre. Each time it came out amazing! I recently had a haircut from Wayne who did a fantastic job as well! Basically all the staff is very friendly and attentive. They offer you something to drink (water, coffee, wine, etc) throughout your time there and I enjoy the complimentary hand massages and aromatherapy when getting my hair washed. I highly recommend them to anyone.

THEY CUT OFF ONE OF MY EYEBROWS. NEVER GO THERE UNLESS THE BRUNETTE IS DOING YOUR BROWS. SERIOUSLY I HAD BEAUTIFUL BROWS THAT WERE NEAR PERFECT AND JUST NEEDED CLEANING ON THE SIDE. THIS WOMAN LITERALLY CUT A HOLE THROUGH MINE
