Front desk was not protecting patient privacy. The person doing the scan was trying to make dietary and physical fitness recommendations. Unprofessional.

My wife and I are seeing our OBGYN here. We had our first check up at ten weeks. At that time we scheduled our appointment today for an ultrasound. We confirmed our appointment a week ago over the phone, specifically confirming the ultrasound, and that I would be allowed to accompany my wife. The appointment was confirmed. When we arrived, we were told we did not have an ultrasound scheduled. We were told that due to covid, I wasnt allowed to accompany my wife into the waiting area. We both took time away from work for an ultrasound. This office has let us down, despite our making every effort to ensure the appointment went smoothly. The office has tried to correct their mistake by scheduling us for the next available ultrasound, two hours after our appointment time. Not too bad all things considered. I think that making and keeping appointments is one of the most basic tenets of professionalism. If you cant do that, you cant do much. The staff was polite and respectful, if not apologetic or especially helpful in resolving the issue. I understand the extraordinary strain these times place on all medical institutions.
