Dr Ellis has helped improve my sleep, anxiety and bipolar using natural supplements. He helped me come off a prescription sleeping pill. He is available when I need him. He is very trustworthy and knowledgeable.

As an integrative and functional dietitian, I know the power of nutrition and natural supplements in correcting imbalances that can lead to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. I personally saw the best recovery from anxiety and depression when I began seeing Dr. Ellis and we formulated a personal treatment plan that included decreasing the use of the SSRI I had been on for years while replacing it with other treatments such as targeted supplements, certain physical activities, and other integrative modalities.I appreciate Dr. Ellis’ knowledge in integrative medicine and his desire and willingness to treat mental health conditions without prescription medications whenever possible. He is also able to or augment pharmaceuticals’ benefits with the addition of targeted nutritional support and other modalities.Dr. Ellis does not rush your sessions and you always feel like he is paying attention to what you have to say. The convenience of remote sessions has been so helpful. I have used both virtual and phone options. I value Dr. Ellis as both a practitioner and a colleague in the area of Integrative and Functional Medicine.Kimberly Coniglio

Dr Ellis has helped me immensely through my mental-health and holistic-health journey. When I first arrived in his care I was extremely unstable and sleep deprived. Instead of switching or strengthening my pre-existing prescription for antidepressants he used an outside the box non-addictive medication to calm me and help me sleep. Once I became more stable he suggested some tools I could self use and develop to help myself eradicate the emotional and mental causes of my current unpleasant experiences. He then graciously offered much wisdom and guidance as he stood by me while I went through this process and eventually weened off of all of my medication. I still have a ways to go, but largely thanks to Dr. Ellis and my own will to not give up I am now in a stable place and on a good path forward for my future.Thank you Dr. Ellis for listening, first to me, and then to your intuition to what would help me the most.

I appreciated how Dr Ellis was able to answer my questions regarding medication options I had. He had solid rationale for why he advised a certain med and was able to discuss with me the pros and cons of the medication. He also goes beyond just the pharmaceutical treatment options and has discussed ways to help issues we were seeing through natural and lifestyle management changes. He also has provided a roadmap for options that may be helpful to explore in the future.

I have worked with Dr. Ellis for about two years and continue to be impressed by both his commitment to his patients and his approach to psychiatric care. He believes strongly in modifying lifestyle behaviors rather than the quick-fix solutions from drugs which can do more harm than good. I recommend Dr. Ellis without any reservations.

I think this is some of the best psychiatric care you can get. Dr. Ellis holistic approach is very hard to come by in treating mental health issues. He helps you figure out the true root of your symptoms and then builds a treatment plan with you that considers a variety of options, including natural medications, pharmaceutical options, and lifestyle changes. Most places you go will only offer one. Dr. Ellis knowledge of each of these areas means he can help you make a game-plan that is going to be the most effective for you. You can choose a plan that feels right to you rather than being stuck with one option. My mental health has improved dramatically since working with Dr. Ellis. I feel like myself again and I truly didnt know if that was possible. I would encourage anyone struggling to see Dr. Ellis because I think it is some of the highest quality care you can get. It is not a bandaid fix that only brings about other issues. It is long term improvement and wellbeing.

I came here to get help roughly a year ago. Dr. Ellis made me cry in his office. Before that he put me on some different meds that made me extremely sick. Now I’m going to a different psychiatrist that treats me like a human being, and I’m finally getting the help I need. I’m doing better than I ever have in my life now, and I think I would have been able to seek better treatment sooner if Dr. Ellis wasn’t so incredibly discouraging. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Had some minor administrative issues in the process of preparing for initial visit, but office staff was helpful. Biggest problem was when we finally were able to join the video call, Dr. Ellis was trash talking us when he thought we couldn’t hear, then proceeded to say bad things about us to a colleague after realizing we could hear him. Mentioned frustration about us not having sent our paperwork in on time, the same paperwork we had gotten from his office an hour before our appointment. Overall, very unprofessional. It’s one thing to receive poor care, but to be degraded and then blamed for issues out of your control reflects character.

Very friendly but very unorganized administratively speaking. Getting in touch with anyone was extremely difficult and no one ever answered the phones. I was told numerous times that I was going to be having bloodwork sent off, two months and several phone calls and labs had still never been sent off. On my last appointment, I called days in advance and left voicemails asking if it was to be a phone call or through the web portal. No one ever called me back but a message on their machine did say that all meetings would be done through the portal. So I tried to log in and no one was there. Apparently they had called my phone but if its from a blocked number it is automatically blocked - something I would have known to address in my calls prior to the appointment if anyone had attempted to answer or call me back. They still had the nerve to charge me $80 when they never communicated the meeting type even after I had reached out several times. Didnt get the warmest treatment from Dr. Ellis as well, was very cold, distant, and condescending. I loved their holistic mindset, but the approach was just really terrible. It was not a difficult decision to take my business elsewhere.

Dr. Ellis really listens to his patients to not only help with the issues at hand but to get to the problem. If you want real help & not just “surface” help I highly recommend Dr. Ellis

Dr. Ellis truly cares about his patients and tries to identify and treat the cause of their issue(s) instead of just prescribing pills that will likely have as many adverse side effects as the patients original issue(s).

This quack put my mother on large doses of benzodiazepines for well over a year. Then he decided one day that he didnt her to be his patient anymore. Instead of helping her taper down off this dangerous medication he just stopped them all at once. My mom had withdrawls and seizures and almost died.
