This place is exactly what people call it The Death Hospital. No one has called to let me know my uncle passed. He was fine one day and gone the next. It’s just ridiculous.

If you ever need a good emergency room and Sentara Norfolk General has a packed Emergency Room, as always, go straight down Granby to DePaul. My visit to Depaul Hospital Emergency Department was definitely a positive experience. I have a complicated medical history, have had surgery at DePaul and was born there. They had a record of every visit updated my list of meds and saw me quickly. There were able to do this on Friday evening on a day when Sentara Norfolk General had a line out the door, DePaul was not crowded and they quickly treated ambulatory patients in the lobby to limit risk of contamination to the patients and the hospital. Unless I need life flight, I’m going to DePaul. Thanks to all those who are putting their lives on the line to preserve the live of others in this time of COVID-19.

Horrible experience. Nurses are careless nonchalant and unprofessional.DO NOT COME HERE .

This is 911 trip #4 for us this year, IIRC, and this was the first time my wife requested transport, usually i make the call. the staff was helpful in spite of the lock down due to the covid and mutation. wife was just sick, had high BP, and the ED sent her home. whether youre on the bad end of a life-threatening infection, or its just a bad day, these people are the best you could reach out to. just say Thank You.

OmG The staff at this hospital was so generous kind and extremely compassionate Mrs.. Danna (night shift) sweet as pie. from Jaime and Courtney on morning shifts Cheryl the ultrasound tech The doctor Dr.. Rubenstein and even the lady at front desk upon arriving.. ALL GOLDEN there was another lady but I cant think of her name she was at came this morning for a brief second... even though I was there for a while I cant complain because the compassion that they showed override the long wait time

This place is CLOSED. Go somewhere else.

This past week I had to go to the emergency Room from twice Once on Monday And once on Thursday Both times I was in-and-out within 2 hours. I thought the all of the staff was very professional and very attentive was the best emergency Room visits Ive ever had.

Staff workers are professional and courteous. Are going over and beyond for the patients. Thank you.

Came in 9/8 @7 am. I witnessed racial disparities and lack of compassion for those of color. I am in hour 3 with no one to even acknowledge me at all. Im cold and now I feel worst. But they dont seem to care.

Will never go there again , front desk staff were cussing up a storm and mocking a man who was in pain when he got called to the back , joking him , went there because of chronic stomach pains they didn’t even give me anything to ease it the whole 4 hours I️ was there but took blood work and that took over 2 hours it’s absolutely no privacy they put you next to people they are testing for Covid 19 with only a curtain to protect you , so unprofessional and uncomfortable never again ! I️ will be reporting this .
