This location is better than the Portsmouth location. Everyone here is polite and communicable. Positive not stick up attitudes! And they are not young folk!! No time to sit and talk or play, they get right to work! Dentist is 😎 She is very in tune with reality and so polite to talk to. Keep it up ladies!! Portsmouth has NOTHING on you all!💯💯💪🏽 And, I NEVER have an issue with making/ getting appointments!!!!

I am new to Norfolk and was very happy with the respect I was shown. The staff are amazing and all were very friendly. I will continue using this location as my primary doctor. Great place!!

Yesterday was my first visit. The person on the phone who scheduled the appointment some time ago was very pleasant & that helped a whole lot. When I got there the place was so clean & smelled sooo good & that also helps a whole lot. EVERYONE who assisted me was so kind & professional which is so comforting when you are already nervous about seeing the dentist. The wait time from checking in until I saw the dentist was reasonable. I feel very comfortable about coming back. A special shoutout to Dr. Robin (I can’t remember her last name) for her AWESOME bedside manner. Her kindness made a terrifying procedure bearable.

This location has a respectable, professional staff. They do great work and are comfortable to talk with.

The Nurse Practitioners are Excellent, very helpful and well educated. The general staff is very helpful and hard at work ensuring Covid Safety.

HORRIBLE do not go here, they do not respect people time, the worst doctors office I’ve ever experienced. Not professional and THEY DO NOT meet the needs of their patients. I will never return here, and I would strongly recommend no one else to go here either.

The service was fast and efficient today. I didn’t wait long at all for Covid check, check in, triage or a room. Had to wait a little for the doctor but he was giving the patient the attention they deserved and he gave me the same when it was my turn. I did not feel rushed and the doctor answered all my questions completely.The safety protocols in place for Covid are very well done. The survey takes place whilst waiting in your car. The temp check at the door is quick and then you check in at a kiosk that is monitored by an employee and sanitized. The seats are spaced adequately apart and wiped down regularly.There is plexiglass at check in and all employees are masked and utilizing PPE. I don’t care about these things too much but for those who do, it’s there for you.This location is quite a drive for me but I think I’ll keep coming here. They are polite, respectful, thorough, speedy and efficient.

#1: They illegally turned me away because of a service dog. ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards state that service animals are federally protected and cannot be turned away at any public business, so long as they are performing tasks to aid the handler and are trained.I was unable to remain with my family member who also helps me with my disabilities.If this was a health concern, they couldve just moved me to another room instead of demanding I leave or come back without the dog.#2: Its waiting room (currently) is extremely cramped with little room to move. This made it quite uncomfortable to have to wait in.

I’ve been going to this medical center for a few months now. Usually I go and it’s an in and out process, except sometimes I would have to wait a while for my nurse practitioner to come in. I recently got pregnant and I again returned to the medical center. Everything was fine until it came to scheduling my prenatal appointment and ultrasound. The ladies at the front desk did not know what they were doing with scheduling, I was waiting at least 30 minutes trying to get scheduled. In the end, they still didn’t know what they were doing and just threw me on someone’s list and gave me a number to schedule my own ultrasound. Fast forward a few weeks and I get to my first ultrasound. As I’m walking in, they call to tell me that they would have to reschedule my appointment because their machines weren’t working correctly. Once I finished my ultrasound I called back and asked for clarification because I was already at the other place they sent me for my ultrasound. They hadn’t even scheduled my prenatal visit with an OB, it was a doctor who did not do know anything about it. So I had to reschedule with the actual OB this time. Again, a few weeks later, I was five minutes late because I have to use the restroom (of course, I’m pregnant and there’s always traffic) and they tell me they have to reschedule my appointment because I only had a 30 minute time slot on their schedule . I know this review is pretty lengthy but this has turned to be one of the worst medical centers I have ever been to and I will never go back there again.

They scheduled me to come in and I get all the way there check in early and then they tell me they have to reschedule cuz the doctor left, what kind of unprofessional place is this not only did they tell me after I already arrived but then when i went to reschedule they hung up on me !

Mrs. Ross I would like to let you know that I am very well pleased with my services at Healthy Smiles. I was recommended to go to Healthy Smiles by a mutual client. I’ve attended 3 appointments thus far. I must say that I have never been treated so nice, with so much compassion, love and professionalism. I was shocked when the dental assistant, Krishna, walked up to me as I was sitting there and called me by name. I was like what!!! That really blew me away. I have gone to many dentist before, but have NEVER been treated as I have at Healthy Smiles. Everyone at both locations are very courteous and sweet. I love that both locations are spotless cleaned and treat everyone with respect. All in all, you are ALL doing a fantabulous job. Keep up the good work. I appreciate all that you guys are doing. My experience from the time I checked in until I checked out has always been the same: PROFESSIONAL AND CARING!! I started with them when I had no insurance. Now that I have insurance I decided to stay with them. I highly recommend them.

This is the absolute worst doctors office I have been to in my whole 36 years on this Earth. The only person in that office who I would rate as professional and courteous is the Latina woman at the front desk. They are unorganized, the facility is rather dirty and not set up in a professional way. The doctor that I saw did not listen to my complaints at all she had her diagnosis pre supposed. Ive had eczema for over 20 years I know when an irritation is eczema and when its not. She refused to provide treatment for my condition instead told me to buy something over the counter. I went to get a referral. I was given the runaround and after waiting for weeks for the referral they did not accept my insurance so I had to start all over again. I will not be going back and I suggest that you find another doctors office unless this is your absolute only choice.

I was so glad I found this office! My son and I were both seen and both of us loved the staff! Everyone was so very nice and helpful! Dr. Jose Rodriguez was great! I would recommend this place to everyone!

My son had a urine test and they saw blood in his urine so they had to send it to the lab for culture.. Doctor Wells said they will have results back in 2-3 days. I have called the past 2 days to get nowhere. It is now Friday and still no word! On top of all this... My son needed to get a TB test on Monday but they didnt have any in stock. So I was told they will call me as soon as they have it. Again its Friday no call... So I called to see if they have it in stock and their response was Oh yes but you will have to wait until Monday because it will have to be looked at 2 days later Which I totally get but if I would have gotten the phone call they actually got it.. I would been able to get it done this week. So Ill sit here and worry about whats wrong with my son until they decide. Thanks!

I have been seen at the HRCHC Ocean View site for three years since moving to Norfolk. The office is clean and neat, with courteous, efficient and kind office reception staff, Catherine and Kenny. Nurses are caring. Dr. Janelle Wells is thorough, compassionate and allows adequate time for all questions to be answered. Lea Barrett, LCSW is a professional, experienced and knowledgeable counselor. Every visit to this office has been a positive experience.

Everyone from front desk to the nurse Tiana made me feel at ease, Dr Wells and was kind and listened and I felt very confident with having her as my doctor she was great. And I Spanish and my English is good but I needed to understand 100% and there was a young lady Omarys Garcia to help with translations made coming to the doctor one less worry. I had very serious issues but everyone really went out of their way to take care of me.Thank you

Basically because it is a low-income and the receptionist are very very nice and kind and they make you relaxed.

Had n appointment at 1 was there 30min early no one in the waiting room with me and still sat in the lobby for ahr not being seen. But lived the asst n my dentist so Ill be Bak.

I have never felt like an important person at a doctors office, however the staff was awesome the nurses were very friendly and the doctors go above and beyond to get you the services you need.

Everyone was excellent and I thankful for Ms. Garcia that spoke Spanish that helped my grandmother, she was very kind and professional with her. Definitely would recommend this place.

I am actually typing this as I am waiting to be seen by a doctor. I arrived thirty minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time and am still waiting 50 minutes after. Upon arriving, I had to wait for the assistant behind the desk to finish texting before he finally told me to check in on the clip board. The waiting room isnt clean, and its incredibly small so its likely everyone waiting can hear you give your info to those on the other side of the counter. Giving my info was also an adventure - I had to repeat every single piece of info I gave of myself. While waiting, the systems went down and the staff chose to shout back and forth about the situation instead of speaking quietly amongst themselves - and to make matters worse, the staff behind the counter were eating and drinking while helping other patients which is rather unprofessional. The atmosphere is far from welcoming and I dont feel as though the doctor has a desire to actually help me with my symptoms. Im not satisfied with my visit today and I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

The front desk staff are the reason why the 3 stars, the doctors are amazing.. MEDICALTheyre too slow, plan ahead for DENTAL.

Update So,i broke a tooth and its a extreme emergency. Ive already gone through the weekend. I drive by to see if I could get an appt for a dentist and the next ER visit is not until the end of October.. WHAT??? I said and the lady at the front desk said she had been waiting months for her partial and she works there. There appt schd. For existing pt. Needs improving. Also, just to make a dental appt you must pay 50 in advance. No,problem but if you charging that you must Have alot of no,shows which mean you should double book a few just in case and let that person know that theyre being fit in and you may Have to,wait longer or if thats not the problem you call people and say I Have 2 cancellations etc. You must not care about exsiting pt. How do you build a repor with anyone like this and quialty of care?Have had no problems with any Docs Dr. Steele (dentist) as well as the new female doc were amazing. The front staff yet again so far so good. Ive experience all three and have had no problems. Normally, Im not finished checking in before they are calling me back.Let me add I know the work on a sliding scale based on your income but I have insurance and still choose to go to them vs some other clinic. They are very unorganized. I had to come back 3 times just for labs. Clearly they hire anybody to work there. I wouldnt recommend this place to a soul. Take my advice and find somewhere else.

Useless.we schadul our own mammography after waiting 4days for their call.will sue them if something happens to my mom.

Providers here are very empathetic towards patients who are in pain and more than willing to assist if able to relieve treatable suffering.
