Dr. Pearl Zimmermann is an excellent Functional Medicine doctor! She is very thorough, takes time to listen, succinctly explain things, and can quickly address complicated cases with accurate testing and the right healing protocols. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to holistically addressing their health issues.

A friend referred me to Dr. Zimmerman after several years of fertility issues, miscarriages, and other health concerns. Dr Pearl Zimmerman is an incredible person and a brilliant and caring physician. She appears to enjoy exploring the underlying causes for an illness, is undaunted by unusual symptoms, and has the expertise to recommend a wide variety of solutions which address those causes. This includes diet modification, supplements, integrative alternatives, and traditional medicine when necessary. In a detox process she will actually look at all your supplements just in case one of the ingredients is derived from a source that will block a detox pathway. She is the most outstanding physician I have ever encountered.

Dr. Zimmerman has been one of the greatest blessings of my life! I spent years and years being so sick and saw countless doctors, all of which were unable to help me get control of my autoimmune disease. After the first time I met her, I knew she was different. She spent over an hour with me going over not only my medical history, but also wanted to know about my lifestyle/diet/stressors,etc. She ran tests that no one else did and was able to find the root cause to my health issues. I was told by many doctors it would be dangerous to my health to get pregnant, and although she agreed with that at one time, she helped me work hard to restore my health and I’m happy to say I’m now 7 months pregnant (and feel great!)! If it weren’t for her, I can honestly saw I’d probably never have a child of my own and for that I’m forever grateful for her! I now live out of state, but still travel back to Ca to see her!

I’ve never met a doctor more thorough than Dr. Z. I went to a few different doctors before her and with each doctor I was quickly given supplements each time before truly assessing what was going on with my health. Dr. Z spends a ton of time with you and gets the right tests orders. Her diagnostic ability is pretty remarkable. She tested me for things I would have never thought to get tested and they all came back positive for ailments that were very serious. I feel so blessed to be under her care. My 19 year old daughter is an endurance athlete/runner who is healthy and who never really had any health issues until about a year ago. During her sophomore of college, she began to feel extremely tired, her heart rate started fluctuating like crazy, she started gaining weight and her running performance began to decline rapidly. Within a few months, she fractured her femur on a run and she started getting to the point where she could sleep for 10 hours at night and need a 2-3 hour nap during the day. For 8 months, we went to numerous doctors/cardiologists/chiropractors/orthopedics trying to get a diagnosis or just trying to get any of them to understand that something was off and each one kept telling us there was nothing wrong or they would suggest she was suffering from depression. She ordered detailed lab work and many of our answers came from the first round of testing from the lab. It turns out that she has some auto immune/throid issues. While we have a few more tests to go, we already ordered natural supplements to help my daughter and we are looking into dietary changes that should help as well.I think what is frustrating to me is that no other doctor wanted to get to the root of the problems. This was a first visit for me. I was looking for a doctor that would be willing to use holistic methods as well as traditional pharmaceutical methods for treatment. I also wanted a medical doctor that could issue blood tests etc. Dr. Zimmerman did a most thorough exam and listened to every concern and issue I have. I am really happy and excited to continue with her to better health. This type of thorough health exam and inventory is just not possible with an any other MDs that I have seen.

Dr. Pearl Zimmerman is unique to her profession, I highly recommend her. She is interested in gaining a deep understanding of her patient’s history and issues, and seeks to treat and solve the root cause of problems rather than the traditional focus on treatment of symptoms. I found her to be detailed, data focused, with great bedside manners. Her approach in treatment recommendations is collaborative with the patient. I initially sought her services to alleviate arthritic pain, but in addition to that she has helped guide me to the best overall health I’ve experienced via tailored diet, supplements and exercise.

Dr Zimmerman is a wonderful woman and physician and I am so happy to have found her! I came to see her about natural HRT and she is addressing numerous health problems that I have as well as the HRT.
