I came to see Dr. Brian Oh at Newport Acupuncture Center 3 weeks ago and my quality of life has already improved, pain is decreasing exponentially and my body is starting to get back to normal. I have been getting acupuncture for the last 15+ years and I have never met a more experienced and talented doctor.Dr Oh identified pain and tension in my body that I wasn’t even aware of because my focus was on immobility in my neck and back. I had no idea that I had severe whiplash from a car accident 2 years ago which affected my entire body.After just my first session, my neck mobility increased, pain decreased and I was able to sleep without pain for the first time in several years. Every treatment is incredibly specialized, Dr Oh will do a lengthy consultation to help identify areas where he can help. I feel incredibly blessed to have found this practice and am so excited to continue treatment here. If you’re on the fence of whether or not to take the plunge and set up an appointment, I assure you, it was one of the best decisions I have made made.

Dr. Oh is so thorough during the consultation and really helps you understand where your pain might really originate from. After one session I gained so much more mobility in my right shoulder. I was skeptical of going multiple times a week, but now I am definitely onboard. Dr. Oh is also just a really cool guy to talk to.

I highly recommend Newport Acupuncture center. Dr. Oh is amazing, professional, and very knowledgeable. After every session I feel relaxed and clear headed. I have more energy, less pain, and increased mobility as a result of the acupuncture. I scheduled my initial session as a result of stiffness in my neck. I could hardly look up or to either side before my first visit. Dr. Oh said he’d be able to help. Sure enough, I have full range of motion after just a couple of visits. Trust in this practice and in the power of acupuncture.

Brian Oh is incredible!! I came in with severe upper back and neck pain. I have significant scoliosis so my back is always in some degree of pain, but this pain was so intense I couldn’t function. I could barely move my head around the pain was so severe, even just lying in bed was painful. It started on a Tuesday, I figured it was the way I slept and it would go away on its own in about a day. It did not. That Thursday I went to a massage place to see if they could work out the tension. Nothing, not even a little better. That Friday morning I went to urgent care to see if they could do anything for me. They could not. That same Friday I was desperate for something—anything—to relieve this pain. I’m an LVN so my mode of thinking is western medicine. After the massage and the traditional western medicine failed me, I considered acupuncture. My friend recommended Brian Oh. I booked an appointment for that Friday afternoon.Brian Oh took so much time to evaluate my pain. He carefully chose which points on my body to work on. I am telling you, about ten seconds after the first needles were placed, the pain went from severe to moderate to mild. I could turn my head with minimal pain. It’s now been 3 days since my initial appointment and I have very mild pain (which is normal for me—see above, the scoliosis). Needless to say, I am now a believer! I’m going back regularly to work on my baseline pain that I have daily. I am extremely pleased with Brian Oh and the work he does!!! Could not recommend higher!

I recently started acupuncture with Dr. Oh after months of severe chronic back pain. I have tried seeing a chiropractor regularly, massage therapy and physical therapy.There has been days, more than I can count with both hands, that I have not been able to walk or stand straight.After seeing Dr. Oh, I started to feel relief from our first session. By the second session I was able to stand up straight and immediately started to feel happy and hopeful.Although I am still in a lot of pain and have a long road to recovery, I have seen improvements in my overall pain, and well being. I trust Dr. Oh and I know that I will continue to get better with each treatment.On the first appointment, Dr. Oh took the time to sit thru the consult to get to know me as well as to explain the procedure and how we would make me better.Dr. Oh makes eye contact and takes time to listen. He makes me feel as he does care for my well being and I trust he is able to help me. I am looking forward to more sessions.I am so glad I am doing acupuncture! If you are doing this for the first time, I highly recommend it and are not sure if to go for it or not, I highly recommend it and specifically recommend Newport Acupuncture Center.

I was referred to Dr. Brian Oh by my friend. He is the owner of Newport Accupuncture Center. I took my Mom to Dr. Oh for her chronic knee pains. She has had knee pains for the last 10 years. We have gone to many acupuncturists and chiropractors. None of them can really helped her. They will try to reduce the pain but not completely successful. The first time Dr. Oh treated my Mom she felt better the same day. Her pains was gone completely. She continues to receive treatment from Dr. Oh and she said that her knees feel almost normal.She also did treatments on her face for wrinkles. After 10 treatments her skin is now glowing and her wrinkles are reduced by about 80-90%. Her friends ask her if shes doing any lifting procedure. Needless to say my Mom is really happy with the results.Dr. Oh is very knowledgeable and very patient. He listens well to my moms complains. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

I had very bad pain on my low back ,like sciatic nerve pain for 2years ,I tried, massage therapy ,and chiro therapy ect... my wife had been, before me visiting Dr Brian OH ,for back pain and than she recommended for my case ,really it s magic after just 4 sessions you feel much better. Facial acupunture: Dr. Oh told me about his facial acupuncture treatments, but I was skeptical. I thought theres no way acupuncture could reduce wrinkles. If so, more people would be doing it. I ended up getting the facial acupuncture after I got hypopigmatation due to a chemical peel. I read that acupuncture helps with reducing hypopigmatation.After six sessions of weekly facial acupunture treatments combined with my Obaji skincare routine, the hypopigmatation on my face faded while the hypopigmatation on my neck remained. Dr. Oh didnt treat my neck area, so I knew the acupuncture was working. I also noticed my jowls were firmer and the lines around my mouth (nasolabial folds) decreased.The facial acupunture treatment did not hurt. Dr. Oh applies a numbing cream for about 20 minutes before inserting the needles. He then removes the needles after about 30 minutes. I had a treatment every week for ten weeks, and plan to get a treatment every four to six weeks as recommended for maintenance of wrinkle reduction and to retain firmness.General acupunture: I was referred to Dr. Oh by my physical therapist for a frozen shoulder. I was unable to lift my shoulder without alot of pain. This was the second time I had this issue, so I know it takes awhile to resolve. Ive been to other acupuncturists the last 15 years, but was impressed with the effectiveness of his treatments. I continue to see Dr. Oh for recurring backaches due to traveling for work. I also see a chiropractor for adjustments bi-weekly, but think the acupuncture works best for my back.

Ive been receiving acupuncture, cupping and Gua Sha treatments, as well as liquid Chinese herbs from Dr. Oh for about two weeks now and am very impressed with the results so far. I have tried acupuncture over the past twenty years, with little or no results - even after spending months and lots of money on treatments, herbs and special diets. My IBS-C condition is improving, though slowly because of decades suffering from the chronic, debilitating condition, and so any progress at all is hugely meaningful to me! The latest acupuncture treatment was especially helpful when he expanded the number of needles to include spots on my right ear and right foot. This was to try and control my stress levels and my emotional reaction to stress, which is key to the healing of my spleen deficiency. Even though I meditate daily, and do lots of things to try and reduce anxiety and worry, including essential oils and flower essences, nothing has ever worked very well. This time I felt a real difference! So I am encouraged to continue with this wonderful mind/body/spirit protocol in hopes that the quality of my life may be improved enough for me to travel, which I havent been able to do comfortably for many years because of my condition.Thanks Dr. Oh.
