I used to teach at this center before becoming a programmer at Amazon (excellent first job for students interested in computer science career path).Code Ninjas is a great way to get your child involved with and interested in coding at a young age. By making games, ninjas learn strong programming/design fundamentals that can eventually be translated into other programs. The senseis being mostly high school/college students helps break down the teacher/student barrier and foster learning. As a former instructor in my college years, code ninjas is not only a great place to work for, my work experience there also helped me to full-time job opportunities at Amazon.
I love that the pace of learning is good, my coder advancing without feeling like shes being schooled. The Sensei concept is great as it infers respect, but isnt like an instructor, it lets the learners know that they are on a path to success. To be honest, my kid likes that the Sensei is a younger person, as they are way more cool than a grown up. (Sorry to the over 25 crowd, were not cool anymore.) Were in online classes and the team/group work has been fun for my stuck-at-home kid. The team at our local studio have been wonderful to work with, and have been helpful during rare scheduling conflicts. Code Ninja has been one of the bright constants during our stay at home time.
My son really enjoys Code Ninjas. His understanding of logic and problem solving have a solid foundation thanks to the work he does here. I plan to enrol my other kids too!
My son loves code ninjas. Clara and all the Sensei are knowledgable and definitely puts the effort to make sure your child is learning. They start from basics and slowly builds on deeper concepts in programming. It is a fun way to learn and play at same time.
We really enjoy the extra learning at Code Ninjas which gives our child an extra curricular activity that he likes to do. We feel the knowledge will be important for his future
I took my son there tonight. He had an amazing time. I am really excited to get him signed up. The staff was incredible, and super friendly. I’m excited to see what happens for my son with in the program. This was my original review. My son has been attending for a few months now and continues to love it. It’s an excellent program for all skill levels.I’m extremely thankful for the program because it has helped my son to develop his skills while helping him be more social.
Code Ninjas has really inspired my son (8) to love computers and to code. He has so much fun with the class and the teachers.
The Code Ninjas atmosphere is very friendly and not as stressful as the other coding classes. The class rules are clear, studying coding level via the ninja belt system. Students have a lot of fun coding games, and don’t seem to feel they are actually learning to code. Other after-school coding classes feel dull because all students are following the same steps during the hour, not on your own pace to maximize your creativity. I am one of the Code Ninjas students, and I love Code Ninjas.
Irene loves creating her own games and is very proud of the work she does. When she finishes a game she wants me to go home and play it right away. Sometimes I even bring my laptop so I can play before we leave. Great group of people and she is learning to be independent in her work here. Love code ninjas
We love this place, my kid learned a lot from it. During Covid19, they switch to online class which also very fun. Highly recommended.
We are having a great experience with this program. The senseis are great. My son is learning coding and game building and more. I feel like hes not just taking a class here - hes discovering this cool new identity in himself as a coder. Its a very exciting thing for a mom to see happen! I highly recommend this program to all kids in the area!
Great place to bring your kids. My son loves going and once he is there its hard to make him come home. He has learned so much over the past 5 months. The staff is very friendly and love to help the kids!
Code Ninjas has provided a great environment for my son to learn the fundamentals of coding, process management and sequential reasoning all great skills to have in his academic and professional life. His instructors challenge him in a positive way within a great environment.
Code Ninjas is the only thing getting us through this Covid experience of “homeschooling”. My son gets to interact with other kids, have fun, and actually learn something he loves! Thank you Code Ninjas!!!
My kids are Code Ninjas since February. During this few months they learnt a lot, not only how to code, but also how to focus and achieve goals. The whole team is extremely nice and patient with a great attitude to kids. My two kiddos are always excited to go there. I strongly recommend this place if youre looking for some friendly environment and engaged sensei!!!
My daughter has been going to Code Ninjas for 3 months now. Shes more of a girly girl so I wasnt sure if she was going to like the STEM angle, but after a couple weeks she started to love it and looks forward to going. The code senseis do a great job of keeping it fun while also supporting the kids learning 1-on-1 when they need guidance.Anyone who would like for their child to get some additional exposure to coding concepts and practice should definitely give it a try. By the time they get to high school, they may have a best-selling game in the App Store!
My boys have taken a few different coding classes before but said this is the best one by far. They love the program and cant wait to go back for more coding with Senseis.
I highly recommend Code Ninjas to any parents who want to introduce their kids to coding, or maybe picking up on the latest tech of robotics automation. If you live in Newcastle, Bellevue, or Renton area, and you think your kids spending too much time on the internet or playing games, you should definitely check this place out. Our daughter is currently attending Code Ninjas and she’s having a great time learning from Sensei Wow and Emily!!!
Brayden has been signed up and attending the Newcastle Code Ninjas from opening day. He has enjoyed his time there and learned a ton, not just about coding but about working with others in a fun environment. The sensei’s there are great, extremely knowledgeable and great with kids. Glad you decided to open the first Washington branch in our neighborhood!
