So Dr. Brown herself was great to speak to for the 10 minutes I actually saw her, although she seemed more concerned with my shin splints than the knee injury I came in for (which, evidently, needed urgent surgery.. more on that later), but her admin team was absolutely horrendous.Firstly, they link you to electronic versions of the admin/insurance forms to fill out. Then, once in the office, I had to do them all (there were a lot) again because the electronic versions dont link to the system and they wouldnt see me until I filled them in again.. not the biggest issue in the world but it should have been a red flag. Then Dr. Brown said I needed an MRI.. it took EIGHT WEEKS of my insurance repeatedly asking the office (and me calling the office every time my insurance said that they had no luck) to send through the documentation I needed for the MRI, which was meant to be a week after my appointment. This was then eventually denied after three re-scheduled MRI appointments due to lack of information. The receptionist ASSURED me to two separate occasions that she had personally sent the information over that day, which turned out to be a lie on both occasions, as my insurer NEVER received ANY information from this office. The last time I called up, I was told that any further rescheduling would mean that I wouldnt be able to get the MRI so please can this be prioritized and what can I do or provide to assist. The receptionist put me through to the file room and then to the imaging center, both of whom put me straight back to the receptionist.. because they hadnt received the information.. the imaging center were (understandably) confused why I was put through to them at all if my insurance was saying I couldnt go to my appointment with them, without the information they didnt have. She then said she would have to call me back and asked for my name and phone number after she had already supposedly written down my information 5 minutes before (and sent me on a wild goose chase to all of these different departments). Then - she said a peer-to-peer would be arranged between my doctor and the insurance company as there had been a mix-up with the paperwork. Insurance said they had not received a request for a peer-to-peer, nor responses to their attempts to contact them. After FIVE months of trying to deal with this office, I made an appointment at NYU. I was seen the next week, where my surgeon and his fellow spent 40 minutes with me, and I was sent for an MRI in the same building that day. I was contacted within a few days and I needed urgent surgery. Walking around on my injured knee for 5 months did NOT help! Everything was organized incredibly well at NYU - all online, prompt service, PT, radiology etc all done in-house, excellent surgeons and responsiveness.

I hate to leave a bad review for a Black doctor. I was not going to post anything negative until I received this new random bill. That being said, this facility is very disorganized. They had me waiting for more than an hr when I was on time for my appointment. The doctor barely saw me and then sent me for an x-ray next door with a three hour waiting time. . It was a complete mess. Each appointment the waiting time was over 30 minutes. I was being charged ridiculously even with my insurance. I just received a new random bill when I have not visited Dr. Brown in over a year and cannot get in contact with the office.or the customer service. I apologize but I would not recommend her office.

My experience with Dr Horowitz was secod to none, prior to surgery I was experiencing extreme pain in the joint of my ring finger (left hand) I had my wedding band enlarged and the swelling persisted, I was still unable to put my ring on. After surgery the swelling and pain was gone, range of motion improved considerably and I was able to put my ring on and off with little or no effort.

I would recommend Dr. Brown.. She knew exactly what I had even before the x-rays. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable talking to her. She knows what shes doing and gave me the right treatment. I am thankful for for all her recommended treatment.

I have late stage arthritis in my ankle and have seen many ankle specialists. Dr. Brown was patient and easy to talk to. She knew or worked with all the ankle people I had seen in the past.Dr brown has impressive education, residency at HSS and great experience working with dancers (which I liked because it provides the relevant experience of athletic people who suffer from severe ankle problems.). Dr Brown was straightforward and clear in explaining my situation. She was supportive of whatever decision I came to regarding my treatment.

I saw Dr. Brown for one time emergency basis because my original orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon was on vacation and I have sprung my ankle badly. The resident podiatrist have left the practiced so I got to take my chances with Dr. Brown. When I went for my appointment, she had me to x-ray my ankle, & when she came into the room to talk to me after x-ray, she was talking everything under the sun but about my injured ankle for over 15 minutes then left the room and left me hanging! I got to go home with nothing and to wait for two weeks until my regular foot and ankle surgeon come back! I have wasted three hours of my time waiting to see the doctor and $90 round trip cab fare & yielded totally and absolutely nothing!!! She is a total waste of time, go somewhere else instead!!

I sprained my ankle I guess?? I went into the office to see Dr . BrownI chose this office because it was close to my job. I unwrapped my ankle and she looked at my foot and said it was very swollen, I flexed it and that was it. She commented on my flat feet. I re wrapped myself with the same ankle wrap I came in with. The doctor shook my hand left me in the office and walked out I have been calling for my results or prognosisever since. She finally calls back after a week to advise I should check the internet for results that is how she communicates. My request was to be communicated with by phone or on a personal level, not email when youuuuu tell the patient you will call by end of day. Finally after numerous messages she calls to advise after being annoyed that she can give me the names to places I can choose to have physical therapy???? So there was something wrong??? no boot? no wrap no directions. Dr Brown made it clear when I left her office last week , she gets the results immediately and she will call me, by the end of the day of the visit. I saw a doctor , got xrays and Im still confused as to what happened???? Oh! I still have a limp. I guess that is where physical therapy comes in. I have worked in the healthcare field over 20 years and have never been so confused in my life. A patient should not fell this way. If i knew Iwould ask
