Both my wife and I had cataract surgery done by Dr. Harmon. We do all our follow up with him. We think he is an excellent doctor and very kind man. We recommend him.

Pretty bad experience there. I asked for ophthalmologist they sent me an optometrist. Staffs there were ignorant and they kept you waiting. I went there for annual routine eye exam, I spent $20 for copay and another $60 for contact prescription, most places gave you that contact prescription for free or charge you $20. I will never go back to this place.

I woke up with a stye. Dr. Harmon’s office scheduled an appointment for me right away. They are so professional in that office. I waited a little bit in the socially distanced distanced waiting room and then was checked first by another doctor and then I saw Dr Harmon. He treated the stye, sent in my prescriptions and had me schedule the follow up. I appreciate the precautions in the office and the efficiency of the service. Plus everyone there from the person who checks your temperature before you enter to the assistant who takes your payment after your treatment is so pleasant.

Dr. Harmon is an outstanding cataract surgeon and his office is impeccably operated.While Dr. Harmons office is busy, you do not have to wait. His staff is friendly and very capable.Dr. Harmon, in the office and at the hospital in preparation for my two surgeries, answered all my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully and I never felt rushed.I could not recommend him more highly.

The five star rating is for Dr. Harmon. He is the best. I have been a patient of his for a long time and wouldnt go to anyone else. However, the front desk staff specially the people who make the appointments get a three star rating. They are lacking in courtesy and professionalism.

Dr. Harmon is exemplary doctor. He restored my vision after operating on a difficult cataract. His staff is also very professional and the practice is well run. The care I received before, during and after the operation was excellent. The procedure and what to expect was explained in clear terms. During my follow up visits I always felt in the best hands. Last year I had this really annoying pain and blurred vision in my right eye and just ignored it, Male Ego trip. Fast forward February of 2019 after waking up one morning with complete pain and blurred vision with a severe headache I said okay enough is enough, so I made an appointment to see my Primary Care Physician who then gave me a referral to see an eye specialist. I went to the appointment and was seen by an internist with minimal experience, hence I was still reluctant to allow her to examine me. As it turned out my eye pressure was 74 and was considered a medical emergency where the intern could not identify if I had Glaucoma. So I was referred to another Dr. at Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx. After it was established that I had a form of Glaucoma still not sure what type after two visits with the new doctor, I told my wife I didnt feel comfortable getting treatment with this doctor. So my wife being the good person she is did some research of her own and found this God send of a Dr. Gregory K Harmon and by far was the best decision we both made. At first I didnt want to go and was given an ultimatum, Couch or bed tonight you decide...lol. So I took her advice and went to see Dr. Harmon and after he read the notes from the first doctor he couldnt believe how high my pressure was, Fast forward I was scheduled for emergency surgery that same week on a Wednesday and was in and out. Had it not been for Dr. Harmon and his staff I would be completely blind in my right eye. Dr. Harmons expert attention to detail with surgery, Is superb. I like the fact he took the time out to explain the procedure (Trabeculectomy) to me and made me feel comfortable from the start to finish. Feeling comfortable is key when you go under the knife. My wife and I am pleased with the outcome and highly recommend Dr. Gregory Harmon to anybody looking for a reputable doctor with extensive experience in his/her field. Also his staff are very warm and welcoming, even when the office is swarmed with patients, I dont mind waiting to get fantastic care. A must visit!

I had glaucoma surgery several years ago. Pressure post-operation went to 50 (!). The eye got permanently damaged. Now I only have my right eye. Left eye vision is gone. I would NOT recommend Dr. Harmon. Too many patients. I was n.20 he operated on on the morning of my surgery... his office is a chain factory where you get 2 minutes attention and wait 1 hour. You can’t do a good job and connect the dots with other health issues that also impact glaucoma (diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc) if you see 50 Patients a day...

Doctor Harmon is a great doctor I have been going to him for years and my eyes are in good health because of him. Getting to the office is simple and the wait is not too long if you go earlier in the day. Everyone who works there is courteous and the procedures are quick and painless. Once you are called in a room for your appointment everything moves a little faster and your in and out in no time.

Have been treated by Dr. Gregory Harmon for over twenty years, he has a great and dedicated staff working for him. He has operated on me twice in the last ten years. In my opinion he is one of the best eye doctors around today. I have recommended him to many of my friends and relatives and all were very happy with him. Excellent! I had cataracts in both eyes, one completely obstructing my vision and I had these for at least three years. After Dr. Harmons painless and swift operation my eyesight was restored back to what it was in my teens (I am now 82). I found myself unwittingly reading a restaurant menu with no glasses on. However, I do wear very low power (+2.00) glasses when I go on the computer. Beyond a few feet everything is in sharp focus (and I chose the fixed-focus option). Incredible!

As a long-time patient of Dr. Harmon I can vouch for the depth and breadth of his care. From the day that Dr. Harmon gave me new lenses during cataract surgery, I have been seeing colors clear and bright, reading tiny print, catching bus numbers from a distance and threading needles with such narrow holes that I dont believe it. That was 10 years ago when I was in my mid-70s. Meanwhile he has been a watchful doctor, deftly removed a stubborn stye, kept my eyes healthy and is a pleasure to talk with.

I have had glaucoma for many years and about twelve years ago the doctor I was seeing discontinued his participation in my health plan. A friend strongly recommended Dr. Gregory Harmon to me. I made an appointment and the rest is history. Dr Harmon has cared competently, compassionately and responsively for me the past twelve years. A few years ago I was away at a conference and discovered to my horror that I had forgotten my meds. It was a weekend. I called the answering service and left a message. Dr. Harmon personally called me back within an hour and called in another prescription to a nearby pharmacy so that I could get an emergency supply of medication. Not only is he thorough, he is also very easy to talk to about my concerns--which are many when it comes to my eyes. In more recent years I have developed macular degeneration on top of my glaucoma and have been seeing another specialist for treatment in that field as well. Dr. Harmon has coordinated my care with the other specialist seamlessly. It is extremely comforting to know he is there and can be trusted and depended upon.

I did the eye exam and ordered my glass in same optic center suit, however when they order the eyeglass it was mistake in the order and when I ask them to change the glass, they reordered and give my the cheapest glass but I paid for the best glass guilty

I have glaucoma and used irritating eye drops for a number of years to keep the eye pressure down. Then I started seeing Dr. Harmon at the recommendation of a friend. When Dr. Harmon performed cataract surgery on me, he inserted stents into my eyes at the same time. These stents have helped me to keep my eye pressure low without having to use the eye drops. I feel very grateful to Dr. Harmon. He is a superb and highly professional ophthalmologist, and now it is my turn to recommend him to anyone who seeks the best eye care available.

Must revise after 6 months. Dr. Harmon is an expert on glaucoma. I have since changed to Jeffrey Liebmann MD at NYP Columbia University. He is very much a gentleman, pleasant to interact with. His office is run in a very efficient manner. Patients at every visit are taken first to an optometrist, then one by one to a series of devices to image the eye. If you have mild glaucoma as I do, you will be given an instruction sheet directing your use of eyedrops and supplements. Some of the eyedrops are Rx, others over the counter. There are also a choice of gels and vitamin supplements. The gels and supplements on the sheet I received were out of date--newer versions of the products had since been introduced. I also happen to know that one of the supplements, high dose ultra-pure fish oil, is available as a prescription medicine covered by Medicare. I have not asked why this is not substituted.

After Dr. Harmon performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, my eyesight is worse than when I began and, in addition, my eyes feel tired and irritated all the time. Dr. Harmon did not inform me of this risk before he performed the surgery.

Office had a lack of urgency and lost my chart. Hour wait for a 2 min checkout, would not recommend to friends.

I cant imagine a more efficient and caring doctor.
