What can you say! Great hospital, detail-oriented, exceptional care team. And Dr. Garcia-Aguilar is a terrific surgeon. Not just his expertise and skill as a surgeon but an exceptional person with excellent bedside manner. Calm, relaxed demeanor. Wouldnt want to be treated by anyone else. Hes the best!

Dr. Garcia-Aguilar is an excellent surgeon in terms of both skills and work ethnics. He does what the general colorectal surgeons could not do. Last December, the doctors at Mount Sinai told us that my fathers disease has been worsen and theres nothing else they can do. I did not want to give up because theres no sign the disease has spread to other organs so we went to see Dr. Garcia-Aguilar of Memorial Sloan Kettering for a second opinion. Unlike Dr. Alex Ky of Mount Sinai, Dr. Garcia is knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners. He arrange all the necessary tests right away and is able to schedule the surgery in just 3 days. Thats when we realize my fathers tumor was not inoperable. It was only because Dr. Ky and Mount Sinai do not have the skills! Dr. Garcia was able to remove the whole tumor and unlike Dr. Ky, he personally explained the results to us right after the 6-hour surgery. He also comes to visit my father every day throughout his stay in the hospital. I am just sharing my own experience and dont want the other patients made the same mistakes as we did. What I want to point out is getting a different opinion and choosing the right doctor really makes a huge difference in our lives! If youre looking for a cure, Dr. Garcia is your best bet!

What can I say, about the most professional, knowledgeable and genuine physician I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and using in my 71 yrs of living. I have known Dr. Garcia for close to 12 yrs.. He has performed some surgery for me when he was back @ City of Hope. I met him when he headed the Col-rectal dept at UCSF,but at that time my responsibilities got in the way of my having the surgery, but when I had a window of time to attend to my surgery I did not hesitate to get in my car and drive to Pasadena.where the City of Hope is located. I knew he was a very skilled physician and I had an idea that he was a compassionate human being. What I learned was that his skills are superb, his knowledge is on the cutting edge.. his dedication is tireless. and the rarest of all within the medical profession is that he is a real down to earth human who shows his compassion for his patients day in and day out..I travel on occasion to the east coast and make it a point to visit with him.. There are very few physicians that I would recommend to a friend. but without hesitation, I have and would recommend Dr. Aguilar to anyone facing a serious medical condition that is within his area of expertise.. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY..

Waited for over a month for a doctor to reach out to me at NYU after my initial diagnosis. I took the initiative of contacting MSK and had the pleasure of having been seen by Dr. Garcia-Aguilar, my procedure was scheduled within 2 weeks. Amazing doctor with wonderful bedside manners. Explained my surgery, saw me everyday while I was admitted and his staff followed up with my progress after my discharge. Im extremely grateful to him and his staff.
