In March 2020 in the middle of the pandemic I was debilitated. I asked myself if there was a doctor who could completely take away my problems. I was referred to Dr. Jenkins. He reviewed my MRI and explained what was going on with me (even though I’m an RN, he explained it so I completely understood it). He also gave me a plan of care. I had cervical fusion, and the day after surgery Dr. Jenkins asked me on a scale of 1-10 what my pain was. It was 0, and until now I still have no pain! I highly recommend consulting with Jenkins Neurospjne. Thank you everyone at Jenkins Neurospine for the awesome care!

After 13 years of suffering I finally went out of network and found Dr. Jenkins, who took immediate action; he listens and advices, and did NOT dismiss my pain In fact, he found more problems than I thought I had. Long story short, he made sure I had all my testing and finally diagnosed me, unlike the others I had seen in the past who continued to tell me nothing was wrong, One surgery later I am feeling huge relief. I have a long way to recovery and may need surgery in another area, however, he has restored my faith and I look forward to feeling 100% He has been the ONLY doctor to not dismiss my symptoms and was worried enough to have me checked from head to toe! He has not made empty promises nor has be tried to force unwanted medications. In other words, he takes pride in fixing, not masking my painful condition. With all due respect and no pun intended I LOVE THIS MAN and his ever-diligent, constantly contacting/following up staff.

After many debilitating years meeting with several orthopedic surgeons I came upon Dr. Jenkins. I had an old skiing injury from my teen years as well as lots of wear and tear from an active daily life decades after. Dr. Jenkins showed the interest and used ample time explaining my lower back issues. With in depth analysis of my MRI, CT scan and XRay Dr. Jenkins recommended surgery for spinal decompression and spinal fusion to create lumbar stability. He went above and beyond explaining the issues at hand before the surgery. In surgery he went the extra mile to maximize future long term mobility. After surgery he was thorough in explaining the surgery itself and future recovery expectations. Dr. Jenkins cordial demeanor and expertise was well worth the extra personal cost to have a healthy and active life back again.

I was referred to Dr. Jenkins for a second opinion after being told I needed a cervical fusion, needless to say I was terrified. Dr. Jenkins took the time to review the MRI with me in great detail, ensuring I understood the situation and advised me that he would do a laminoplasty. Not only was that a far more preferable solution, but Dr. Jenkins made me feel comfortable and alleviated any concerns I had about having cervical surgery. He and his staff are wonderful to deal with – most notably Anna and Sarah who got my surgery scheduled less than one week later. Miraculously I was able to take a planned trip to Israel only three weeks after surgery. I am still recovering but I can say without reservation that my experience could not have been any more positive, and I will remain eternally grateful.

Dr Jenkins had performed neck surgery on me in 2018. Sadly I had seen four neurosurgeon in the past and Dr Jenkins has out rank them all. When I met Dr Jenkins he made me understand my situation. He is very understanding and takes his time listening to all my problems. The staff is very helpful in person and over the phone. Very professional. Highly recommended.

After seeing 2 other doctors without relief, I saw Dr. Jenkins who diagnosed me immediately. I had surgery within 6 weeks and have not looked back since. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Jenkins. His staff are amazing and most helpful.

I have had multi level lumbar and cervical fusions with Dr Jenkins. I had been in constant pain for over 6 years with no relief from every possible treatment. I trusted in Dr Jenkins and he did not let me down. I am 3 months post lumbar fusion and the constant pain I was in is GONE!!! I am back on my feet and getting ready to train for a triathlon. This was my fourth and Last surgery!I know there are those who have left less than stellar reviews.....Id like to address some of them. Dr Jenkins now has a new private practice, he is no longer with the Mt. Sinai practice although he still performs surgery there so the office issue is much better and he has a great staff. Yes Dr Jenkins does get called away last minute for emergencies because he is that good and he gets called to do life saving surgeries. If you were on the other end of one of those emergencies, you would want someone like Dr Jenkins taking care of you. So I can live with that knowing that he is off helping someone in trouble. Also, some surgeries have complications, I had some myself. NO surgeon will give you any guarantees with back surgery of even relief of chronic pain. Most people who have back surgery have been suffering for years and they have extensive damage, usually with more than one problem. Sometimes after fixing things, other parts fail, its unfortunate but we are aging beings and stuff breaks down. Surgeons are not always to blame when things dont go as planned. If you doubt your surgeon, go to someone else! Personally I believe in Dr Jenkins!!I have 4 rods and 20 screws in my back and neck and I dont feel any different. My incisions are nothing short of artistic and barely visible. When Dr Jenkins does complex incisions, he often has the plastics doctors close to insure a nice clean incision scar. Mine are beautiful!! He also works with Orthopaedic surgeons on spinal surgeries. He is extremely thorough and a truly amazing surgeon.I will conclude with this. I am a Dr Jenkins success story!! After being disabled for several years and having very little quality of life, Im only 65, nobody can believe how well I move and with great flexibility. The debilitating pain that plagued me for years is GONE!! What else can I say, I could not have had a better outcome and I owe everything to Dr Jenkins~

Since I met him I sensed that he will be a renown surgeon, and yet he possesses an immeasurable human quality. He is a straight shooter and truly a real professional with high standards of ethical care. God Bless Him...!

Dr. Jenkins was able to perform a surgery that other doctors told me was impossible. He is caring, kind, and extremely capable. He has a terrific staff that is highly responsive. Wish every doctor was like him.

My procedure was a failure in every way. I have seen no improvement after more than a year. Post surgical care was appallingly bad. SIX follow-up appointments canceled....2 of those after I had arrived at the offices and been waiting a considerable time....a painful experience for someone who had recently had major back surgery. My last appointment found me waiting for more than 90 minutes in the waiting area, then another 30 in a treatment room. That was enough for me and I walked out. This was the biggest nightmare I have ever experienced, and two other doctors strongly urged me to consider malpractice charges. Could never, ever recommend this doctor or practice to anyone.

He sells his services very well but his follow up is less thorough. My procedure was not successful and he recommended more surgery. While I was waiting for him to come into the room for over 30 mins, he was busy dictating patient notes. I heard that some of this other patients were also refusing additional surgery!

While we do not doubt that Dr. Jenkins is very knowledgeable in his field, his lack of follow up, and inability to keep an appointment or return a call renders his skills useless. When a Dr. orders tests and then never follows up with a review of the results, it is deplorable.
