Dr. Mocco is one of the most humble doctors I’ve ever met. My experience with Mount Sinai was amazing from top to bottom. My visit with Kayla and Dr. Mocco was informative and reassuring! I had an active Cavernous Angioma that was causing seizures and had repeatedly bled. They explain the risks of continuing to watch it VS. removing it. We decided it was best to be removed. The process is was extremely thorough and the surgery was a success! His bedside manner is like nothing I’ve seen before! I am so happy that I chose to you use Dr. Mocco and his team!

A few months ago, I went to see doctor Mocco for a second opinion for a newly discovered aneurysm. My symptoms were getting worse and my previous doctor kept rescheduling my appointments. He came highly recommend by my neuro-ophthalmologist. After maybe 2 minutes of meeting him, I decided to switch (best decision ever). Long story short, he saved my life! The aneurysm was very large, leaking and about to burst, that would have been catastrophic. He performed an emergency embolization and even thought it was one of the scariest moments of my life, his expertise, kindness, bedside manner and the way he interacted with his staff, made all the difference. He saw me as a human being and I still remember when he put his hands on his heart and told me I will be ok. I am ok and I feel very lucky to have such a great doctor in charge of my care.

Dr Mocco is wonderful! He helped my elderly mom when other neurosurgeons refused. He was kind and engaged. He truly cared about her post surgical progress. I would recommend him and his fine staff completely and without reservation.

Dr. J Mocco,In 2016, I came down with an aneurysm and was hospitalized for a whole month in Mount Sinai’s IC unit. Words could not describe the pain I felt, let alone the pain my loved ones were going through living in and out of the hospital lobby. I am writing this review as a testimony to both my health post surgery but more importantly to unmask Dr. J Mocco for who he really is. Dr. J Mocco is intelligent, caring, diligent, and the most down to earth person I’ve ever met. So I’ll come out and say it. This man is an angel disguised as a surgeon and this man saved my life in 2016. I can’t say enough good things about him except this, my family and I love you and we will always be indebted to you, so if you ever need anything you know where to find us.Thankful to Dr. J Mocco,Cindy (Mei Lin)

Dr MOCCO takes the worry out of the diagnosis. From the moment you meet him, he takes the time to explain the diagnosis and the treatment. He does this in an easy way to understand and puts you at ease from the get go. Grateful to have him on my team.

I Thank God for his divine intervention in leading me to Dr. Mocco! I truly believe that he is one of God’s angels here on earth. I was diagnosed with an internal carotid artery brain aneurysm in 2017. From our very first meeting on through all of the tests, procedures, and surgery, his willingness to spend time answering any and all questions went above & beyond anything I could have expected. His meticulous planning and execution of the complex craniotomy and clipping of my aneurysm went flawlessly. It will be 2 years in August since my surgery and I have been blessed with undetectable scars and no residual side effects. When we first met Dr. Mocco, we were surprised that such a young man could be the Chief of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai, but now understand why he was selected for this prestigious position. It is a rarity to find exceptional skills, compassion, and humility in one package, but with Dr. Mocco this is exactly what you will experience! Mary Driscoll
