Dr. Senatus and Tailored Medical NYC were exactly what I was looking for. I had a complex lower back problem that went unsolved for nearly 5 years until I found Dr. Senatus on Google. I debated going to a large hospital and looking for a spine specialist there, but I opted for a smaller, more personalized concierge style practice that Dr. Senatus operates which I had not done before. I am certain the communication, follow-up care and attention to detail not only made the experience comfortable but had everything to do with the phenomenal outcome of my surgical experience. I feel like I lost several years of my life and only wish I would have met this team sooner. My advice is dont wait like I did, get an appointment and get the care we all deserve.

I dont think you can get much better than Dr. Senatus. He is the real deal. He speared me from having to get a fusion, and did a two-level disc replacement instead, while other doctors recommended a fusion. He is a very personable doctor and will take the time to explain thoroughly your prognosis and the way froward. Limited movement is now full movement and flexibility, and pain has decreased significantly from a 5 to a 1. I do have tingling and numbness in my left hand, but that is because of nerve damage.

For many years I have looked for a doctor to help me understand why my back has been my Achilles heeland as I grew older it became more imperative to find someone who cared and would listen . In my opinion there are not too many of them left.In a painful and desperate moment, I came upon Dr. Patrick Senatus. I went to see him and knew from the get to that this man was the real deal --- a true follower of Hippocrates. He has a way of welcoming you into his sphere that comforts you and puts you at ease -- no sterile environment here. No serious expressions portending danger or pain. He read my MRI CD and put it up on the screen so that I could read along with him as he explained what his trained eyes told him He was patient, humane, caring, and most of all INTERESTED in my reactions. He didnt pull out a scalpel and intimate immediate surgery was needed. Instead, he suggested going for some PT before any final decisions were made.He wasnt afraid to reveal himself either and that helped communicationimmeasurably. By the end of the visit, I had a plan and a new friend as well. A friend whose advice I value along with his insights and his humanity. In this life, we must search in order to find but when we do find, we know the search was worth it. Invest in yourself and take time to go and see this man. You wont be disappointed and your investment will reap incredible rewards. Im 76 years old and view my future with renewed hope.

Dr. Senatus and his team were a pleasure to work with. They show genuine concern for the health of their patients. They make themselves available 24/7 to answer any questions and address any concerns that you may have. I found myself e-mailing and texting with personnel from the office on nights and weekends and getting quick responses. My experience with the office in my treatment exceeded my expectations; it is clear that Dr. Senatus and his team love what they do. I felt like I was in great hands and was really well taken care of. I would feel comfortable recommending any one with a spinal condition to speak with Dr. Senatus on an impactful and effective treatment plan.

I didn’t get into working out until 3 years ago when I lost my father. My therapy was constantly working out and running. Fast forward to a few months ago when I had to cancel running the NYC marathon due to disc degeneration and herniation. I was devastated but Dr Senatus educated me on what the risks were with my condition. Because of his calm demeanor, bed side manner and expertise I decided to go ahead with a one level lumbar fusion. I am now 7 weeks post surgery and can actually feel my foot. And though I feel I didn’t prepare myself for the recovery process, Dr Senatus continues to be there for me and my family every step of the way. I will continue praising him as a doctor and as a person. And will recommend him to anyone who listens.

I’M GETTING MY LIFE BACKJuly 21, 2009. The day that changed my life. I was in a car accident that left me with 11 damaged discs, the worst of all being herniations at my L3-L4 and L4-L5. For 9 years I’ve been dealing with lower back pain that ranged from discomfort (at its best) to crippling, where I was bed ridden for days to weeks, walking with a cane and not feeling relief standing, sitting or laying down.I am 32 years old and for the past 9 years I have done everything in terms of treatment that someone can do, short of surgery, to try to find relief (when it first happened I went for 3 consults and 2 of the surgeons said I was too young and shouldn’t let anyone operate. The third was over eager, which turned me and my parents off).I had tried physical therapy, chiropractics, acupuncture, traction, decompression (5 days a week for months), epidurals, and any other treatment you can think of. In August of 2017, while putting on my pants to go to work, I felt my back tighten and it would be the absolute worst event in the 9 years. I had epidurals which would bring the pain down to about a 5-6 but would wear off after a month. Later, Dr. Senatus would find out that the nerve, which was being so pulverized by the pressure of the disc, was completely flattened. Finally, we went looking for a surgeon again and was lucky enough to have a friend recommend Dr. Senatus. From our first meeting, I knew he was the right man for the job.He was kind, engaging and had the expertise that made my family and I comfortable to move forward with him as the surgeon we chose. He saw how much pain I was in and with my most recent MRIs backing up my claim, he decided I needed to go in for the operation ASAP.To put my pain level in perspective, when I went for the Pre-Surgery workup, my EKG showed that my pain levels could be seen through the stress that was being put on my heart. So Dr. Senatus decided I needed the surgery as soon as possible and a plan was put in motion to have the surgery the following Friday, only 6 days from our initial meeting. Dee, the Lovely woman at the front desk and Rich, who deals with all the financials, got right to work to make sure everything from booking the OR to getting me approved by my insurance. These 2 amazing people performed a miracle and had me approved and ready for the surgery in less than 6 days.Dr. Senatus performed the Surgery and I WALKED out of the hospital the next day (I opted to stay in incase of any complications). He performed a miracle. My pain is minimal now (only pain associated with healing and the nerve getting healing from years of being squashed flat). I am walking upright and without the fear of throwing my back out by doing normal, everyday activities.I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE TEAM! Their professionalism and care are second to none! They gave me my life back and I will forever be grateful.
