Last month I underwent Spinal Surgery with Dr. Cristopher E. Mandigo as my surgeon. I had been referred by Columbia Presbyterian to Dr. Mandigo as the right Doctor for my condition. After having an MRI taken at Columbia Doctors on W51st St. I made an appointment for 2 weeks later. The MRI images were loaded into my patient portal and I was able to view them after a day or two. After a short wait at the office, I was ushered in to see the Doctor by his very pleasant manager, Steffani.Dr. Mandigo was fully prepared for the consultation and had the appropriate MRI images already loaded on his computer so we got right to it. He explained to me very clearly, what was going on in my spine and showed me exactly why I was suffering from such debilitating pain and great difficulty in walking. He went on to describe the procedure that would be required to remedy the situation in very clear terms… no medical jargon, just plain English!I asked if we could schedule for the next day and of course we couldn’t. I did receive a call the following day to see if I could be available for one week from that day as a slot had opened up in the operating room. I jumped at it and one week later my surgery was complete. Dr. Mandigo visited with me before the surgery and his manner is so calm and pleasant that it relaxes everyone around him…including me. I was very happy to be in his very capable hands. I mentioned to a Nurse how nice Dr. Mandigo is and she replied that its is very unusual to find a great surgeon who is also a very nice person. Dr. Mandigo is such a person.My surgery has been completely successful and I am very thankful for Dr. Mandigo’s excellent effort on my behalf. I hope that I’ll never need spinal surgery again, but if I do, I know where to go. Thanks Dr. Mandigo…!!!

Dr. Christopher Mandigo performed an 8. 1/2 hour surgery rebuilding the anterior and posterior areas of my neck from C3-T1 this week. He is absolutely the most brilliant neck and spine surgeon and I count myself very, very fortunate to be one of his patients. Very articulate, warm, kind and a great communicator as well as the best Neurosurgeon that I have met, he has been a shining star in my life. My recommendation is the very highest rating and even above and beyond that. 1000% excellent.

He made me walk again in a stable way. Recovery was long and hard but this doctor gave me back my life! The BEST Neurosurgeon in NYC bar none!

Thank God !for putting in my way this great neurosurgeon ,He made a major surgery for me,for remove a big meningioma in a part of my brain very dangerous to me, and after to have a lot of pain in my right side of my body , now ,I feel very well ,I dont have problems after the surgery... Thank God and to Doctor Mandigo ,no words, no money that can pay for his help and his experience in my surgery ,just ask God who help you and will give you the most beautiful thing in your life, health and prosperity..I recommend 1000% God bless him! Horrible place! Dont waste your time. Im leaving his office without being seen after waiting 2 hours. They said he was running behind schedule ok fine. But after 2 hours I asked how much longer and Im told well there is a form missing. The receptionist is clueless but then again she is new. The nurse or assistant in blue scrubs who never gave her name has an attitude when I complained about the wait and missing form. The secretary is no better. I remember when I first called to make an appointment couldnt get her to answer the phone. I think she enjoys phone tag when dealing with new patients. I request my reports and CDs and it took another half hour to get my forms back. To top it all off nobody even bother to apologize. I suffered two accidents that makes sitting or standing for long periods of time a hardship. The pain got so bad I knocked out from it. Seriously I dont recommend this doctor at all and will be having words with my PCP about referring me to him. Waste of time.

Dr. Mandigo is an excellent neurosurgeon, easy to talk to and a very warm human being. 3 weeks ago he performed a Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery to correct my wifes stenosis in L4 by Laminotomy and Forotomy in L4, that had her under severe cronic pain for 2 years. We travel from Santo Domingo to New York, surgery was a complete succes, as soon as she waked up from anesthesia she said I have no pain any more. She is happy pain free and keeping up with the walks Dr. Mandigo recommended as her only therapy. Thanks so much Dr. Mandigo.

Thanks to Dr. Mandigo and his excellent practice I am pain free after been under a Minimally Invasive Spine Procedure to correct my stenosis in L4 performed almost 3 weeks ago.After 2 years of intense cronic pain in both extremities involving gluteous, thighs and legs I became free of this pain as soon as I wake up from anesthesia.He is an excellent person, explains in detailed everything , answers all your questions, takes time for you, have good manners and is warm and nice with his patients. I do not know how to thanks him enough for this miracolous new life that he maked possible for me, pain free, happy and liberated. I highly recommend his services as a neurosurgeon, the New York Presbyterian Staff , administrative, nurses, anesthesiologist where the best also warm and attentive.I traveled all the way from Santo Domingo Dominican Republic for his services as neurosurgeon and I can not be more satisfied with my results.

Ya kinda hope you never need a Neurosurgeon, but if you ever do...Dr. Mandigo is THE BEST!
