The best neurologist there is. Takes time with his patients, I never felt rushed. He has a great attention to detail. The staff in the upper west side office is incredible. Very helpful and nice. Highly recommend!!!

I made an appointment in august, first available was today, october 9. I called a few hours in advance to make sure that my insurance company would cover the injections for pain that I was scheduled for. Well, the front desk told me I was on a wait list as there had not been approval from my insurance company. I was angry so I called the insurance company to find that they could not possibly approve what had not been submitted. Dr Starkmans office had 2 months to submit the paperwork but did not. They also did not call to tell me not to come in. They communicated nothing. Not with the insurance company and not with me. I waited 2 months in pain for relief and got nothing. Certainly no respect for my time or discomfort, and no communication of any kind. I have worked with the public in customer service most of my (long) life, and this is terrible customer service any way you look at it. Forewarned is forearmed. Good luck.
