No one gets blood work done for fun and a good bedside manner (including patience and the proper tone) can make a stressful experience bearable, especially at a time when our engagement with the healthcare system is already fraught.The Afro-Latina staffer assigned to do blood work on the afternoon of 9/27/21 joking about how no one can drink water now because someone broke the machine, shouting out my medical info in public; dismissing my paperwork in an exasperated, jaded tone; not making even a meager effort to call my doctor to clarify the paperwork; and rushing multiple people (including me) to gather up our papers as if were working on some assembly line is exactly the type of experience people want to avoid at a medical enter and is a major reason why people avoid medical appointments. Shame on you. Its unfortunate your demeanor wasnt as pleasant as your accent.

This lab is not only sparkling clean all of the time, but the staff are great. I especially appreciate Flor! She is courteous and always makes time for me and for my questions. It is a pleasure to come to this Quest. Thank you Flor!

Ive checked in then waited for 30 mins. During this time, one staff was talking on her phone the whole time; another one is ignoring my question the whole time and shut the door heavily.I was delivering a sample that needs to be frozen, then I got all this.

I do not recommend this location. I wasted time coming twice. I was either glared at or ignored. She hides in the room and everyone was wondering where she was. Just saw 3 people leave because they couldn’t wait around. One guy said “is she on a lunch break or something? I’ve tried coming back 3 times and she’s never here”

Flor is absolutely amazing. Shes been taking care of me for almost 10 years. Service at this Quest is always fast and friendly! I am scared of needles but Flor has a magic touch and I never feel a thing.

As many of the reviews have already mentioned, Flor is a gem of a phlebotomist! Throughout the set of her lab actions, she communicates the utmost comfort and care. While very convenient to my doctors office, I would still go to this particular Quest site just to see Flor. She made what is typically a stressful process easygoing and, simply put, made it a joy to experience. Thank you again, Flor, and I hope to see you again!

I don’t leaving bad reviews but after reading many negative feedback posted here and all about their bad experiences, I decided to leave mine as well.The staff is never smiling nor kind, they are very dry and often mean. Clearly they don’t like dealing with human beings. I met so many nurses and front line workers and they take pride and happiness in assisting others. Certainly that is not the case here, never helpful, never a good experience and doing their bare minimum and blaming their policies.

They are very nasty and unprofessional! Not helpful at all. The staff could not be bothered to even look straight at you when speaking. They act like they are doing you the favor. Would not recommend!!!

I was in the office the same time a patient came in and became very belligerent and rude wanting to be SEEN IMMEDIATELY! Flor took control of the situation professionally and explained to the patient that they were with me at the moment. I absolutely love coming here! Flor, is my favorite, I have always hated needles and usually cry like a baby (no joke) but for three years she has been taking care of me and not once have I cried, I barely feel it! Plus she is always so cheerful, every 3 months like clockwork! HIGLY recommend you ask for her when you make your appointment.

I came here after being jabbed multiple times at my doctors office with no success. Im very difficult to get blood from and usually they resort to drawing from my hand or trying multiple times in different areas which can sometimes lead to dizzy spells and fainting. Flor took away the trauma and pain of blood work. She confidently collected multiple vials of blood from my arm the very FIRST time and was super gentle too. A quick and friendly experience.

For years I have been going to Gotham Medical and having Quest in the building is really convenient.During the same time, Flor has been my phlebotomist. She’s a strong Latina, proud Mom and makes what’s an uncomfortable situation for me (blood draw), a breeze!

I will echo all the praise for Flor. I have had bad experiences getting blood drawn before where I sweat buckets and almost pass out but Flor took good care to keep me calm and get through with the draw quickly and with a light touch. Shes friendly and clearly enjoys her job, which makes a sometimes unpleasant experience much easier.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My elderly aunt came here to run a fecal sample. The receptionist sent her home with a test kit and did not explain any of the instructions which were printed so small she could barely read them. Eventually all was sorted and my aunt arrived to deliver her sample. The receptionist/tech Flor was extremely rude towards her when my aunt could not present her insurance card. They HAD her insurance number ON the form for the test, and did not even think to look there. They sent her home. She came back to askThem if they could contact her MD to locate the insurance number and they told her it was not their job to do so. They told her “you have to leave, We are doing you a favor” and basically kicked her out. This is a DISGUSTING way to treat people especially the elderly. They could have easily and GENTLY explained to my aunt that she needed to contact her MD and procure the #. IWill never send her back there again. They should be trained to assist seniors with courtesy and care.

Horrible service. The phlebotomist had a purposely mean attitude. When I kindly asked to please be gentle with my arm as I have an autoimmune disease where I get inflamed and my skin breaks from the inside she got irritated and went ahead and aggressively looked for the vein with the needle inside after disregarding what I had just explained. This all after I respectfully explained my circumstance, now my arm is really inflamed and I hope that didn’t cause something I’ll have to suffer from for weeks.Please hire more empathetic staff. I was never disrespectful, instead just kindly asked for understanding of an unfortunate disease that I have and the trauma that comes with situations like this.

I’ve been getting my blood work done at this location for many years and I’ve had good experiences and bad ones. But for the past year I’ve been lucky to have FLOR draw my blood and assist me with the lab work process. She’s professional, courteous, informative, helpful, holds great conversations and always looks very well put together. Not to mention that I don’t even feel anything when she draws blood, today she drew at least 5 vials! Also I never bruise when she does it! Five stars

Ridiculous place! They won’t accept a sample directed by my GP without an appointment. Seriously you want an appointment for a sample drop off? To make things works nobody picks up the phone, there was no one at reception and the on-call doctor was extremely rude and unhelpful !

The Phlebotomist was hostile. She seemed irritated when the appointment began, but the irritation turned to hostility after I declined to leave a credit card number. (Quest billing company was hacked, so I have security concerns.)In addition, there were not enough chairs for people waiting to be seen, and the area did not seem clean.

I waited over an hour to do my blood test. I had an appointment that they did not go by. People was taken before me. When I was call the lady was rude and nasty threaten not to do the test because I said they are making me late for my access a ride car. Worst service ever.

I usually go to the E. 22nd location, but picked the W. 14th location because it offered appointments, and the web info states that walk-ins are welcome but appointments take priority. I also picked the first hour of the day because of info on the site that stated this time was reserved for folks over 60, and those with compromised systems. I got there at approx. 8:20, found that there was a person sitting in the lobby who helped with check-in (so far so good). There were at least 5 other groups there. I checked in and sat down. Another client was complaining to the lab employee (not sure what the appropriate title is) that walk-ins were being taken before him, even though he had an appointment and had arrived on-time. The employee responded that appointments were not given priority, which is contrary to the info on the web. After that I noticed that there was a screen in the waiting area that listed the order of names, all of whom had appointments (according to the screen), My name was first and a 5 minute wait was indicated. 12 minutes later I was called. In that 12 minutes at least 2 people were called in whose names were not on the screen. In addition, a person came into the waiting area, took her mask off and began to talk on the phone. After finishing her call she went up to the lobby assistant and had a brief conversation, without her mask.Good thing I took the time to make an appointment, go out of my way, so that I could be treated this special way.

Most unprofessional experience I have ever had in a lab. I cant speak for all of the staff, but the person that interacted with me was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was literally screaming at me in front of all of the other patients in the waiting room. Never coming back again!

Their office phone line is completely disconnected, and my HCP’s office is having an extremely hard time trying to contact them about missing test results. I have been on hold with the Quest corporate customer service line for over an hour with no way of contacting anyone about missing bloodwork. Is there a way for my Doctor to contact you all directly? This is absurd.

This was my first time at this location and I had Tamisha take my blood. To start I have small deep rolling veins and I have had past bad experiences with nurses having difficulty trying to get my vein. Tamisha wasnt only kind and comforting she got my blood not only with a baby needle as she called but was extremely smooth in getting the vein in one shot. Great experience and will now continue to see her for all my future blood work. Thank you Tamisha for your wonderful customer service.

I have been using the quest diagnostic lab on 14th street for the past 20 years and in my opinion there isnt a better lab than this, specifically due to my experiences with Flor.She is the most professional and courteous phlebotomist that I have ever encountered, Flor trully is an outstanding credit to your organization !

Incompetent! Scheduling the appointment was easy, the wait was short, the phlebotomist was cold but did the job. But my doctor never got the results. Turns out they typed in wrong year of birth, which wasnt even close. Their phone number is disconnected. The main quest hotline is labyrinth of menus and it took half an hour for the operator to track down my lab work. Not confidence inspiring!
