We hired Alvita last year after we got our elderly mother out of a rehab where she had been languishing after an operation. Alvita was a lifesaver for my mother, who needed fulltime care as she recovered. Very professional and competent, from the coordinator, the nurse, to the financial and admin folks. Most of the aides were excellent and on the rare occasion when we had less than satisfactory experiences, Alvita acted promptly to fix the situation. We were able to discontinue care recently, which is a testament to the great job they did. Its good to know that if my mother needs care again, Alvita will be there.

I am compelled to write a review as Alvita Care, specifically Lisa, who saved my mothers life! My mother fell, hospitalized and had surgery all within a 24-hour period. I was very nervous given the COVID situation and wanted to manage her recovery at home. I called Alvita Care Saturday at 2PM and had a HHA at Hospital for Special Surgery by 5PM. Further, they had a RN to our home by 6PM to do an assessment and everyone is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable! It has been over a week now and my mom is back on her feet and I can focus on my job and kids knowing that the Alvita Care team is taking better care for her then I could! Forever grateful!!

When the emergency involving a loved one occurs, and you have to make the panic call looking for immediate, efficient, caring, punctual, and competent health coverage, Alvita should be your first call. When my Aunt was recently hospitalized in NYC with a massive stroke, I dialed a few places and got recordings. I could not get to NYC because of the virus. When I called Alvita, a live person immediately answered and within ten minutes I was talking to the person who owned my issue and assured me they would take care of it. Literally, within a few hours, we had a compassionate and skilled nurse at my Aunts bedside. That nurse became part of our family over the course of the week until my Aunt passed away. The nurse was wonderful. Laura, who was my immediate and constant point of contact for resource scheduling, processing of paperwork, etc. was wonderful. Alvitas team is always accessible and their attention to detail and follow-through are unparalleled. It was great concentrating on other important things knowing that Laura and her team had us covered. Their accounting team is equally professional and thorough. Thank you Alvita!

The nursing care provided by Alvita Home Care went beyond anything I was expecting. From the case managers to the nurses, every person we dealt with was unfailingly professional and caring, and every nurse was meticulous, focused on the care plan, patient with our family, and always on time. My 65 year old husband came home after 74 days away in ICU and rehab, having survived a near fatal case of Covid and other infections. He had a feed tube, a tracheotomy wound, complicated heart issues, no speech or swallowing, and 14 different meds and special vitamins. Alvita was there to help us transition to having him home. I will be forever grateful.

No benefit! Insurance is after one whole yearIt’s a private pay client. pay 15 an hourThey do not have cases. They will hire you and you will be on the stand by, like I taught I’m hired? Why no job for like months? They will ask u for your available time and never call you for a job. Total waste of time.

My neighbor suffers with dementia. Her aids are lovely. They are patient and sweet with her. She can be difficult and they make sure she is freshly showered and wears clean clothes.

So far so good , having just started working with them.Applications are not much of a hussle and clocking in and out pretty easier. Very respectful coordinators .

This is a great business. My mom sprained her ankle and needed help around the house. Alvita Care had someone available for her on the same day I called at the time I requested. I recently needed home health care and selected Alvita for help. I was very happy with the aide they sent. She was smart, capable and gave me good ideas to help me increase my mobility around my apartment She was especially helpful when I had to visit my surgeon at the hospital. She was a pro- the aide knew her way around the ins and outs of a hospital visit - with all the floors, desks, room and different people you have to go through. She made the whole process a lot easier.

The people at Alvita are so incredibly courteous and helpful- both the caregivers and the office staff. They were very attentive to my familys needs and helped make our lives much easier. Its obvious that they are passionate about providing the best possible care!

Living with a grandmother suffering from dementia is not easy and it was very emotional time for the entire family. We had not been comfortable sending her to an old folks home without her approval or sense that she was actually comfortable at the place, that is why we were glad when she reacted so positively when we brought in a caregiver from Alvita Care to help her.Alvita Care offers great customer service, thoughtful care to my grandmother, and the entire staff is very well-trained in what they do. They offered reassurance and respect to both us and my grandmother, who seemed to have warmed to her caregiver nicely. I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

Alvita Care has been providing around the clock care for my grandmother for over a year. Our experience with Alvita has been nothing short then superb. Our case manager is responsive to our grandmothers needs and proactively finds ways to go above and beyond (like send extra supplies and food prior to a snow storm). We have consistency with our caregiving team and communication is frequent and helpful. We have tried another agency in the past and Alvita Care light years better then them. My entire family highly recommends Alvita Care to everyone we know.

Wonderful people here! My grandma (now passed) had severe dementia and was difficult to deal with at times. Her Caregiver was extremely patient and kind. Ensuring she ate, showered, and was always wearing a clean Depends. It took a lot of stress off of my Mother who works full time. The office called frequently to check in, and always communicated if Nikki was going to be late or couldnt make it in and let us know who the replacement would be.

Alvita Care has been providing services for my father for approximately six months. My dad has Alzheimers and some of his behaviors are difficult to deal with. The agency has been extremely supportive of both my father and myself. They have worked to create strategies to re-direct some of the negative interactions that he frequently manifests. They are very concerned with, and attentive to, his physical needs, as he has mobility problems as well as a variety of health concerns. They have been more than helpful in terms of suggestions revolving around medical and safety issues, nutrition concerns, and have made every attempt to see that my father is engaged in stimulating activities.I met with Alvita Care several times prior to contracting with them. I have met their staff and they send me a detailed report every week. In addition, if I have any questions, there is no problem calling them and speaking at length with the owner or members of the staff. They are truly a caring and concerned agency and I highly recommend them.

I went to filled out my Application I pay for my Physical I give my Certificate and my US documents and references the didn’t call the references all the do when I try calling them the always busy I ask for a reply back when the have a chance the never would do that the try to make you feel as your not counted for there hiring position. When I call for my status of my appreciation towards of my Interest of a work able person when there feels to answer your phone calls the would call you wrong Names taking you for another person. So I felt to my self the fools so many people that did Application so the don’t really know who is really calling them . Ty

This is absolutely the best Homecare company ever! I have used a few others and it was such a horrific experience that I was hesitant to give this route another try. However I must say that Alvita Care has truly done and exceptional job taking care of my uncle. The attention to detail and the truly professional and caring nurses and home Health aides has been so delightful. Let me start out by saying that I am a registered nurse working in home care so I know what quality care and case management looks like.Edelyne, was my beloved grandmothers private case manager towards the end of her life. I suggested my dad hire a private case manager as her dementia was getting worse and my dad was having a hard time coping and managing her medical and emotional needs.Edelyne coordinated doctors appointments, coached my dad through dealing with dementia, helped arrange for and provide caregivers, and offered moral and emotional support and guidance for my grandmother and the whole family.My grandmother passed away peacefully at home, and I dont think it would have gone as well as it did without the help and support of Edelyne and her team. Edelyne was very patient with my grandmother who was wary of new people and afraid of relinquishing control as her dementia progressed. She also handled the tense family dynamics of end of life care very well and was almost like a family member during that time, we knew we could count on her.Thank you Edelyne!
