I came to Dr, Fang with stomach issue (acid reflux, burning sensation, bad stool) that I have had for a while.Dr, Fang listened to me, took my pulse reading, told me what foods to avoid and gave me 10 day tea ration. So ive gone to several doctors 7 to be exact .paid hundreds of dollars with zero results actually getting worse with zero input on what going on. Dr. Lin has the gentlest manner and is a master of his craft.The staff who works there is knowledgeable and helpful, and also extremely warm and gracious. I was experiencing some horrible side effects from a Western medicine my doctor had put me on: my bodys systems, and consequently, my mood and even my mind, were completely out of whack. Dr. Lin not only diagnosed me, but he thoughtfully and respectfully explained what was going on with my body, and educated me in the Eastern view of the bodys systems, which is much more holistic (and frankly, makes more sense) than the Western approach to medicine. All he did was take my pulse and ask me a few questions, but the herbs he prescribed regulated me after ONE DAY... and I had been suffering for SIX MONTHS.In addition to the herbs, there is also a lovely placebo effect-- just being in this store and in the doctors presence will make you feel better. :)Everyone there speaks beautiful English, in addition to Mandarin and Cantonese. My husband, who is Chinese, came with me, but there was no need for him to translate.

But I dont recommend Kakkonyu for a cold in summer, but I recommend the silver lantern in China. In addition to a variety of well-prepared Kampo, decoction is available from original solids to powders, which is reasonable and wonderful from Japan.
