Overall the experience was very thoughtful and transparent. The staff were very considerate and empathetic to my concerns and well-being. I think if anything could be improved it would be in a couple of areas. The first would be to fully communicate that although patients are allowed (perhaps encouraged) to not shave the graft recipient site, it should be communicated that postoperative care is far more cumbersome and discouraging than it would have been if the head were completely shaven. The second point is regarding the postoperative medications, particularly the topical sprays for graft enhancement. These bottles are far too small to feel comfortable applying the solutions liberally. This leads to distress and worry that outcomes might be substandard due to suboptimal postop treatment.

However, due to my not so great experience for 3 micro-pigmentation sessions, I am not surprised that the wrong survey was sent???? Typical Bosley. All great at the beginning, but things decline as the process continues!!!A year later, and my ink has faded(which I knew would happen) and now they want me to come in for a follow up???? If they had just listened to me in the first place and applied more ink like I wanted ( considering I was paying $3000.00-not them! And it was my scalp-not theirs), perhaps things would have turned out differently! Very disappointed.

7 months post-op my, half my hair falls out. I call the office where I had the procedure(this one) and get told to “go to a dermatologist “ by someone who was not my physician in a voice mail. No further follow up or care.No complaints until this disaster of an experience

When I contacted Bosley I wasnt sure what they could do for me. Meeting them was easy and informative. After completing the procedure the support staff was friendly and easy to contact. I now have great hair again, better than it has been for a long time. I have confidence in my personality that I didnt even know I was missing. My latest call (not in-person visit) was a refill on my Finasteride, which was easily handled by the assistant. Most of my dealings with Dr. Alpeter and the staff there have been great experiences. My overall frustration is that I feel no improvement from my $12,000 replacement surgery. When I came in for the 6-month checkup, I expressed this concern and they combed my hair a different way and showed me before pictures and tried to convince me that it had and assured me new grafts would continue to grow to provide more coverage which I reluctantly accepted. I am not one to complain but I still feel there was no improvement nearly three years in but after that checkup I do not feel my concerns will be heard. I was going to request to come in again at the two year mark but of course COVID shut everything down. I still dont feel comfortable going into the city. I visited with two other expert doctors in the field in NY prior to making the decision to go with Bosley and really liked Dr. Alpeter as he felt like he could get more donor grafts which was going to provide the most coverage including my crown. My crown really shows no improvement to me which was my primary reason for going with Bosley. I also didnt know to get those grafts he would cut into the sides of my head, when we discussed I thought it was only going to be on the back between two previous incisions so the scar would not show any more than what I already had. I overlooked that because if it gained enough grafts to cover my crown, then it was worth the additional scars on the side of my head, even if it meant I could no longer cut the sides closer. My two previous replacements were done with a surgeon in Florida for much less and yielded much more satisfying results. Had I known my disappointment, I would have traveled back down to Florida or used one of the other two surgeons. Again, I really like Dr. Alpeter and the staff there, just not satisfied with the results.

I am NOT getting any payment advertising for Bosley. I am doing this because I want to express my debt of gratitude to Doctor Mark Faucher. I can now style my hair in a way that no one would even think that I was ever bald. Hair transplant is part medical science and part artistry. Doctor Mark Faucher has both of these extensive expertise. The operation took from 8AM to 4PM. There are about 8 people that had worked on my head. The operation was not pleasant. To be honest, no operations are pleasant. Doctor Mark Faucher personally followed up by email and by phone calls to make sure that I recovered well and that my post operation was successful. The after surgery care was a great experience. They have dedicated caring staff that gave me guidance to ensure that the grafts heal successfully.The cost of the surgery is not that bad. I paid half of it and about half of it on loan. Bosley has a medical loan financer that does not charge interest for a very long time. In fact, I paid up the loan long long before it even starts charging interest. Most importantly, I consider this an investment. When you feel good, you are able to project confidence. People should not “judge a book by their cover” but realistically people do and that is why appearance matters. When you look younger, you feel younger. I’ve been to the 6 month follow up and tried to make an appointment for the year follow up. Apparently your computers were down. When I asked for a call back when they were working again, the receptionist basically told ME to call back. That wasn’t cool. I did my due diligence and she should’ve made the effort to get back in touch with me. That was the only negative experience. That’s the reason I haven’t been back.

I recently had a somewhat regrettable appointment with a Bosley hair restoration counselor. Because of this and my review I was contactedby Tammy Greene the regional supervisor. Tammy was fantastic ! The consummate professional. She went above and beyond the call of dutyand advised me on a number of options that were not presented to me bythe counselor . Tammy is a credit to the whole Bosley operation and is the sole reason why I would consider Bosley for my needs.

It was a great experience every step of the way. So glad I chose Bosley. They lived up to their great reputation. Very impressed. This is not a paid review btw. I showed up for the procedure and Dr Alpeter was incredibly nice along with his staff of technicians. They asked me what music I liked and played it during the surgery and gave me a nice lunch. Talked with the technicians a lot as well and they were very nice and fun to talk to. Fastest 8-9 hours of my life and I didn’t feel a thing. When they gave me the mirror at the end and I saw where my new hairline was gonna be from the blood spots, I was blown away. I felt like I took a time machine back to my early 20’s (see profile pic). I had 3,150 grafts done with the FUT “strip method.” Was gonna do FUE but I wanted more grafts/hairs so I switched to FUT a week before surgery and so glad I did. You can barely see the scar and I’ll have no problems with a #2 buzzer covering/concealing it. FUT is NOT an outdated method of hair transplantation by any means. Don’t be scared off by the scar. You’ll get more quantity AND quality with FUT. And you’ll be preserving lots more donor hair in the back if you happen to need another procedure years down the road. I’m sure they’re great at doing FUE as well but for me I think I made the right decision going with FUT. It was worth every penny.

I chose Bosley because I wanted to have this properly done but it turned out to be a failure.One year ago I was told “ your life will be totally transformed” so I bought into this marketing strategy and paid almost 15k for this hair transplant. One year later I still look horrible.Recently I went for my post surgery visit and the doctor suggested to have another procedure, which would cost me more money. They want me to be happy with my result but it would cost me more money.Now think about that. Paid already almost 15k plus more money for another procedure. Not worth it. I am filing a complain with BBB or hiring a lawyer to bring this case to the court

I have a visit Boslay office today on July 22, 2020 I have seen the advertisement on Facebook where decided to go and see them and personally ad says it’s 50% off but when I go there they even didn’t mention about any discount offer Which desperately take me to the Boslay office otherwise there is plenty of other options for hair Transplant in every single country so finally when they give me a price option still they didn’t add any discount.they offer me 9000$ price for 1800 graft which suppose to be 4000 according to there ad on Facebook . And also I have to mention even in that kind of heat wave didn’t offer me a bottle of water and when I ask them they don’t have a bottle of water for any customer but they do have for themselves.

Best experience ever, this is my third transplant over a few years and I thought the previous Doctor and his team were the best. I was wrong, Doctor Mark Faucher and his team are the absolute best I was treated like a king. His work was phenomenal and it was basically painless excellent job by everyone thank you.

It was lucky knowing and visiting Bosley for my satisfaction of surgery.

It’s been about 9 months. There are areas that are patchy and uneven. There are bumps where the hair is patchy. The bumps are not going away. I’ll wait some more months and see if there is improvement but I am skeptical of any changes.Update: coverage is much better now. Although there are some small areas of concern. Hopefully I don’t have to get another small procedure done.

Hello my name is Johnny and I had the fue surgery at 99 park av in New York City and i definitely didn’t like results. It was expensive and I hardly notice a difference. It’s been a year and a half and I’m still waiting for it to grow in fully. I would not recommend bosley to anyone that’s seeking a hair transplant. My issue with them is that they didn’t put enough hair and they didn’t really lower down my hair line like I wanted them to. Of course I did a consultation with a staff member before hand. And we both went through the process of what I wanted from the surgery and what it will cost. Please don’t waste your money and time. They do half the work to get you to go back in. From 1-10 I give it a negative 0.

I waited until now to write this, because everywhere I looked I found that most people who were not seeing results from their procedure were told to practice patience, that with time the results will come. Needless to say, I practiced patience, but the results never came.I went in thinking I was making an informed decision. I had done a bit of research prior to my consultation. Every time I came across a review or complaint by a dissatisfied client, I read responses to such reviews and complaints. The responses always indicated that this customer’s experience was unusual and not typical and that the majority of transplants were very successful with a high yield of results. I searched various sources for information and felt confident in my decision. In hindsight I realize that maybe desperation played a role in the weight I placed on the responses I read. But I realize now, that the places where I thought I was reading reliable information, I was merely stepping into trap after trap that convinced me to act with such a terrible decision.A decision that has cost me both a lot of money, and a lot of hair. The area where they remove the hair to be transplanted to thinning/balding areas, becomes scarred and that hair never returns. They don’t just remove the hairs, they remove a chunk of your scalp.The people they have speaking to customers during consultations are not physicians. Yet, they do what only physicians are supposed to do including examining patients, making a diagnosis, and recommending the next course of action.If you decide to go forth with your procedure despite the warnings, be prepared to say goodbye to a good chunk of change, and a good chunk of your hair and scalp.If Bosley is good at one thing, it is MARKETING. I wish it was hair transplants that they were good at, but it’s not. Good advertizing does not equal to good results.They also told me to continuously apply minoxidil 5% even after the procedure. That should have been enough of a red flag for me but it wasn’t. I could have bypassed the entire procedure altogether and simply applied minoxidil, but my judgment was clearly clouded at the time.I’ve complained to Bosley, and they’ve offered me a second procedure for free, but I will not make the same mistake twice.

Hes very knowledgeable about African-American hair and its hair loss issues and will give you a thorough lesson on your options. The procedure is done in house by doctors with decades of experience. It was pretty painless, and the staff is exceptional. The hardest part? Waiting for your hair to grow in!

Had my hair restoration procedure done in Bosleys Park Avenue, New York City office on 06/01/19 performed by Dr. Mark Faucher and his amazing team. This is something I had been considering for years but never quite was able to pull the trigger. I had just turned 50, and wanted to have this done to feel better about myself and my appearance. To say I was nervous and apprehensive is an understatement. As the day got close, I was getting more and more nervous.My initial consultation was with Kimberly in the Parsippany Office. She made me feel at ease and took time to explain everything to me. From then on, she was always willing to take my phone calls and answer any questions I had. We discussed options, various procedures, etc. At the end, I decided on the FUT procedure with the PRP injections at the same time.Procedure day was better than I could ever have hoped. I met with Ken, one of the senior consultants who spoke to me and asked me some more questions, and then I was introduced to Dr. Faucher. He couldnt be nicer and we discussed what I wanted to get, the quality of donor hair and then we got to work. He took his time to draw the hairline and show me where he would place the grafts based on what I was looking to accomplish. He would review the hairline he drew and if not happy, he would erase and re draw until we were both satisfied.I then met the team. A wonderful group of nurse practitioners and staff. I was treated so well, I really thought about staying after the procedure. They took my order for lunch, brought me some granola bars to snack on and some juice and water and off we went.They took my vitals and then drew blood to use for the PRP injections. They then gave me the anesthesia which numbed the front, top and back of my head so the procedure could begin. The doctor cut the donor strip and sutured it up before I even realized it. No pain at all, although you could hear it all. The team then went to work to separate the grafts and follicles into their proper segments. This took some time, but it was ok. I was very comfortable. I opted to first get up and watch how they did the separation and then sat back down, put in my ear phones and just relaxed.They then made about 100 or so injections throughout my scalp for the PRP. After that, Dr. Faucher came in and began making the incisions in my scalp where the donor hairs would go. Again, no pain, but I could hear each incision...and let me tell you, he was fast! It took only a short time to make the 2200 incisions for my grafts, and each incision was done to follow the natural direction of my hair so the new hair would grow right and look natural. Shortly after he completed this, two wonderful assistants (who are well trained), began inserting the proper hairs into the slits the doctor made. This took the longest time, maybe 2-3 hours. Oh, I forgot, before this began, they brought in my lunch and that provided a nice 15-20 minute break.During the implantation period, I got to know my support staff pretty well. We were laughing, telling jokes, etc. At several points during the process the nurse partitioners would come int to check on me (as did the doctor) to see how I was, how my pain levels were and if there was anything they could do for me. I felt like I was the only patient there, but yet they had 3 or 4 procedures going on that day.At the end of the day, they went over all my post op instructions, gave me some topical sprays to use at certain times as well as both ibuprofen and vikoden to bring home and labeled each with the words mild and strong depending on how my pain was at the time. Its now been about 2 days since I had my procedure and i have quite honestly experienced almost no pain and just a bit mild discomfort when laying down to sleep.On our way home (we live in Northwest NJ), we stopped at a local restaurant to eat. No lingering affects at all from the procedure (although I did let my wife drive just to be safe).I can not recommend Dr. Faucher and his team highly enough. 5 stars does not do them justice!

All they do is take your money and dont care about patients.I was promised I would get my money back if I dont see good results but they offered me another transplant with more money. Ridiculous!Avoid them!

Very happy with the procedure had a great consultation with David Shultz staff very professional dr.alpeter did a fantastic job I definitely would recommend anyone thinking about hair restoration too go for it worth every penny

I found out that the surgeon was in another room performing a hair transplant on someone else. He had his physician assistant doing my FUE. He wasnt even watching what his assitant was doing. I paid for the surgeon!
