After hearing several recommendations and my inclination to starting a healthier lifestyle grew, I was excited to join this luxurygym. But, as I began to visit, I noticed the setting of the gym was uncomfortable and unethical. I would expect a better environment, predominately at a luxury gym. The staff was sub-par. The management possessed an attitude that was overall peculiar and out of line when it came to the comfortability of the members.

Not my favorite Equinox. During peak hours its SUPER busy but between lunch and 4:30pm the crowd is fine. This Equinox could use an upgrade.

Impossibly crowded in the evenings, much more so than a lot of much cheaper gyms. It’s also somewhat run down and underwhelming compared to some other Equinox locations. If I didn’t work in the same building it probably wouldn’t be worth it. Some awesome instructors and great classes, though! Staff all around are top notch.

They charge over $220/month yet they want you to bring your own lock like its the YMCA or something... 🤦🏻‍♂️

The worst experience. They have class sign up for popular classes, which is a good idea. However, they dont enforce it. People can walk in 5 minutes into the class. The club management has not done anything about this. Also, the equipment is dirty and locker room stinky. Many times, the towels smell like they havent been washed properly. Stay away from this club.

How much are the monthly fees here? Theyre so secretive about the fees. They cant even give you a rang over the phone. BTW, I did call... did not get a response about the monthly membership. The rep I talked to insisted on having me come in to the gym.

This is my goto gym for a few years and i find a fantastic place to train. Clean facilities, great equipment and not very crowded. Awesome place for awesome people.

Very cramped with long queues for cardio machines and weights. To make things worse, the trainers monopolize squat/power racks regardless of club members waiting. I blame poor management.Unless you’re just looking to get bilked out of money each month, you should seriously consider alternative gyms. I find many of the NYSCs in midtown to be much better in terms of space and availability of exercise machines. There’s also some questionable stuff going on in the sauna. Again, I feel poor management is dragging this place down.

Nice club and facilities all the way around, and very attentive staff. Only thing that would make me up my review even higher is if they would lower the volume on the non-stop DJ music, which sometimes makes me feel that Ive been transported to a night disco from the gym floor.

Ok, so as a disclaimer, Im posting these reviews for my reference. I have an All Access Membership, and I want to visit as many of these as I can, to see which one I like most/would like to go to.My interests are powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, swimming, so my review will be geared towards that. This one also falls into the lower rung of the ladder when it comes to Equinox. For comparisons sake, I have been to the following so far:West 92ndWest 76thHighlineEast 63rdEquinox Columbus CircleIts an Equinox, its not terrible, but its on thin ice.One huge floor. But its very crowded. I had a quick stop here, I didnt work out. But I dont think Id want to. The cardio area is separate, and there is space between machines, but its still pretty small (I suppose I cant blame them too much, New York is expensive, but they charge a pretty hefty sum for membership too, so, uh). No pool, standard Equinox amenities and machines.Out of 10:Size: 5Luxury: 5Equipment: 7

TVs dont work. No individual TVs on any of aerobic machines including treadmills or bicycles or elliptical machines. Cable is always out so you cant even watch anything while exercising. These are standards in all other gyms which are only 1/2 to 1/3 the membership price .Also always packed and since it is small l with very few outdated machines and free weights, there is no place to work out or find a free machine to use during the morning and evening rush hour. Not worth the ridiculous price.

I cannot think of anything bad to say about the Park Avenue Equinox. I used to attend a different one in the city and the trainers there were a bit arrogant and aloof. At Park Avenue every single trainer treats every member with special care and the front desk staff is fantastic.

Very bad experience. Assistant manager(I’ll renew her name soon) was questioning me about my membership status in a very unfriendly way. She was like “you have to follow me to my office, and no friend is allowed to come with you.” Ironically, it turned out she put in my name incorrectly, that’s why she thought I sneaked in this club!
