Dr. Chynn is efficient and moreover, very good at what he does. One month post op and I have 20/20 vision, better than I saw with glasses. Instructions seem dense at first, and the recover period is intensive, but the results are well worth it.

Been going here for a few months now and have had excellent results. I no longer need glasses at all to see from afar. Im able to see just as good and better than when I wore glasses. The service and people who work at the office are friendly make sure youre on top of your treatment. I would highly reccomend if you no longer want to wear prescription glasses.

This place is very unprofessional, unorganized, & dirty. Not sanitary at all doctor did not wipe anything down when doing testing on me. Staff was talking about patient (me) in an unprofessional way on FaceTime like i couldn’t hear her right next door. Would NOT recommend. Please save your time & money. I was a patient here and I honestly enjoyed the experience. I got LASEK because it was clearly the best option out there. Its the safest, and doesnt have any of the permanent sideffects that LASIK has. And the procedure doesnt involve any cutting (NO FLAPS, and NO FLAP COMPLICATIONS). This is something that makes Park Avenue LASEK stand out, because they dont do ANY cutting procedures. Its clear that they take pride and effort in being one of a kind. They had a fully glass operating room, and even encouraged me to bring a companion with me to watch the procedure. They also made a group chat with me and all of the doctors so I could ask my questions whenever I want!! Dr. Chynn is a great surgeon and was always very respectful when talking to me. He did get a bit strict with his staff, especially one of the doctors there (Dr. Dovzhuk). But I really appreciated that because hes clearly just trying to get the best out of them by becoming more perfectionistic. Plus, wouldnt you want a perfectionist doctor working on your eyes?

Just had my LASEK surgery about a week ago. I had a -5 with astigmatism prescription and I’m seeing better already. I chose Park Avenue LASEK because they’re 100% non-cutting so it’s so much safer than LASIK. I’m so glad I got it. Lasek is noncut and much safer procedure. I choose to do it because I do boxing/sparing. I have compared different laser procedure for a long time and I believe people who engage in contact sports should really choose Lasek

Do not go to Park Avenue Lasek. These reviews are fake - they give you a discount to give them five stars and to write a positive review. Not sure how incentivizing patients like that is legal as it biases the whole review process. Also, they have a dog inside which seems pretty unhygienic.

I am three months post op and my vision went from 20/400 to 20/15 without glasses or contacts. The procedure itself was fast with minimal discomfort. My vision improved immediately after the procedure and has progressively gotten even better over the three months. The best part for me was that this procedure did not cut a flap into my eye. If you’re looking to get your vision corrected, you will not want to go anywhere else!

I came to this place because it is different from the typical lasik everyone is familiar with. There is NO cutting into your eye, and so all the complications you hear about are virtually eliminated. The LASEK (different from lasik) procedure I got has been successful and I have already been diagnosed with 20/20 vision after 6 days post op. My recovery period was about 3/4 days and I experienced zero pain in this time. I highly recommend to get LASEK as it is safer and will get you the results you are looking for.

Prior to surgery, I was -4.00 and -4.25 with mild astigmatism in both eyes. I had wanted eye surgery for some time, but was worried about complications like dry eyes, halos, flap-related complications, and the like. Hi, my name is Harriet and I am a dog groomer. I came in to Park Avenue Lasek a few weeks ago to see if Im a candidate. I came in prepared for the worst because of some of the 1 star reviews I read. When I came in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and I found Dr Chynn to be very informative. The best part of the experience was the dog. I work with all kinds of dogs in my line of work and I thought Tolstoy was the most well behaved good boy. He didnt bark and mostly just laid there on the couch, he wasnt wild at all. I was concerned that the operating room might be dirty because of this but thats not the case at all. The OR is separated by doors and is very clean inside. In some ways, Tolstoy is a therapy dog meant to make people feel more comfortable. Anyway, I had a great experience at Park Avenue Lasek and Ill be getting my surgery in May.

I was honestly looking forward to meet with Dr. Chynn about LASEK but my experience with a rude an unprofessional receptionist made me reconsider.When I called the office to cancel my appointment because I wished to schedule a time later in the year, the receptionist was very aggressive and pushy, like a used car salesmen, to get me scheduled DURING OUR CALL. I had to argue with him since I did not want the conversation to drag on longer than needed and when this was finally clear to him, he abruptly goes ok and hangs up. I was not sure if I had heard him correctly so when I called back to confirm the cancellation, he blamed a bad connection for the call disconnect -- had the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experience with the receptionist.

After 5 months of my surgery, my eyes have been 20/20 perfect. Im glad I found this place & definitely don’t regret it at all. You will never find a place that does a surgery more safer/easier then here. Lasek>Lasik any day!

I had a good experience at Park Avenue LASEK.Dr Chynn fixed my eyes after 25yrs of not being able to see in showers, during swims, on rollercoaster rides and when waking up in the middle of the night being unable to tell if a pile of clothes was an intruder.The office is unique, as you will get to experience complete strangers watching your surgery through a glass window on street level like a tattoo shop. While this may seem unusual, even sketchy, I soon realized the benefits of this - it not only allows the public to see that this surgery is not scary or dangerous, but adds a level of accountability to the Dr Chynn and gives you the shortest distance to be walked out of the office by your companion once you are blinded post- surgery. Its also free advertising - something Dr Chynn loves and you will be strongly encouraged to provide through social media posts and, uh, yelp reviews.Healing from LASEK is no joke. Be prepared to sleep for the first 3 days after surgery as you wont be allowed to open your eyes anyway, followed by another 2 weeks of dry itchy pain where you question your life choices and pretend that you arent terrified you made a mistake and blinded yourself permanently. Slowly, things come into focus (literary) and you can finally see.Dr Chynn isnt the warmest man Ive ever met, but he doesnt need to be. Hes there to provide a service which he does well. His bedside manner and curtness with his staff is their own business, Im assuming they are there of their own free will and can quit/leave if they desire to do so. This being said the staff are welcoming, attentive and kind, even if they are also following the script of pushing you for free advertising through Yelp reviews (like this one) in exchange for discounts, and are extremely pushy at your initial appointment. My experiences with elective surgery have all been similar to this - a free consultation isnt exactly free, theyre hoping to make a customer of you, not just provide free evaluations out of the kindness of their hearts. This is annoying but expected.I recommend this business, because Im typing this 3 weeks post op without glasses and thats what I paid for. My eyes get better every day, and are already back to where they were with my glasses. They are still dry and easily irritated, but its my understanding this is normal for all PKR/LASIK/LASEK surgery since I paid a man to melt off the outer coating of my eyes then shoot a laser into them only 3 weeks ago.I was scared but Im glad I did this.

I had Non Cutting (no flap) Lasek with an E (NOT Lasik) with Dr Chynn on 1/30/2020. I had a severe prescription of -8, lazy eye( amblyopia) and astigmatism. I have been turned down for lasik 6 times in the last 15 years. I am so grateful that I found this competent Doctor. He corrected my eyes to see even better than I did with glasses/contacts. I do not have dry eye or night glare. The surgery was quick and painless. The staff are all very knowledgeable. If you have a severe RX and have been turned down for lasik like me...go to Dr. CHYNN he will change your life with the gift of vision. His prices are fixed and affordable as well. LASEK is a newer, safer, non-cutting version of LASEK that I felt more comfortable with when searching for the best way to correct my vision. The office shared that Dr. Chynn helped invent LASEK and has performed more LASEKs than any other surgeon in the UsS (another reason I felt comfortable). Now, I can wake up and enjoy the sunrise without reaching or searching for my glasses. I’ve been able to swim in the pool without worrying that my eyes get dried while wearing my contacts. I was recommended by a friend who initially wanted to get LASIK but they told her she didn’t qualify and Dr. Chynn was the only one who assisted her needs. Overall very happy.

If I had to share the best decision Ive done for my SELF was choosing Park Ave Lasek and Dr Chynn to give me what I have been dreaming to have since I was little. I have been wearing glasses since I was in 2nd grade, and contacts since 6th grade, and my prescription of NEGATIVE 9 has always been a burden on my day to day life.What I love most and appreciate whole heartedly about Dr Chynn is his bluntness and perfectionism. Lets not forget, Dr Chynn is dealing with your EYES, the delicate gift of vision is not something to be dealt with lightly, and I must say I have been to doctors that did not make me feel secure simply because it did not seem so delicate to them.I have to also note, my cornea was way to thin for Lasik, so my only option at the time was PRK and that has been the biggest reason I waited so long to research other options... but again I am SO grateful that I found Park Ave Lasek.The procedure, the team, the visits, everything in total has been and still is a very comforting and exciting experience. I have better than 20/20 vision today, something I couldnt imagine having 5 months ago.This is the only place I will ever recommend!!!

Accompanied my best friend to her LASEK surgery. Very detailed and courteous staff! Every i dotted and every t crossed. Cant wait for her to see 20/20. Ive gotten my surgery almost three weeks ago. Some of the best money Ive ever spent, hands down! I got myself LASEK HD which turned my world into a high definition experience! I see way better than I ever had even with glasses or contacts. Getting LASEK instead of LASIK also allows me to participate in contact spots safely. My vision was very poor and my prescription was -6 so I feel liberated from the need to wear contacts or glasses and I recommend everyone else to free their eyes too!)))

My husband had LASEK surgery with doctor Chynn the day after Xmas 2018. We were really really nervous because you never know what can happen even though theres great reviews. Plus we own a Video Production company and my husband is the senior video editor, his eyes are everything! But my husband was tired of wearing contacts and glasses. His prescriptions were so high and we kept spending money between glasses and contacts every time the prescription changed. And I couldnt stand seeing my hubby getting completely shut down whenever the migraines would attack. It was getting really bad. My husband had a prescription of -8 and -7.When my co worker told me her husband had eye surgery to correct his myopia at Park Avenue LASEK, I immediately researched them from top to bottom. I found some funny and crazy stories about Dr. Chynns personality and stuff, but what I was mostly interested was how good of an eye surgeon he was. He is really good at his craft. Hands down!Plus my husband and I met with my co-workers husband, so he could tell us his own experience, after that we decided to go for it.Its been a more than a month and my husband can already see 20/20. Ive never seen him so happy. The migraines are gone. For him it has been a life changing experience. His dream is to go back to the Great Canyon and experience it with his new eyes because its not the same with glasses. You can never see everything perfectly.One thing though, you MUST follow the instructions, read everything, ask multiple questions because although I love his staff, they are very caring and nice, theyre not the best communicators. Just ask and they will answer all your questions.

Dr. Chynn has been nothing short of amazing. He was able to comfort me financially by offering me financing but more importantly, he accepted my insurance to cover a lot of the cost. I was so happy with the service because the doctors are so smart and well informed. The dog was so cute. He snuggled up next to me and make me happy. I came in for my three week post op and I sometimes stay longer than I want but Im always happy with the service.

I had my LASEK safer non cutting procedure done 1 month ago. I am seeing just like my glasses and happy with my results. I recommend this place to everyone. Staff is helping and professional.In fact, My mother is getting consultation tomorrow for LASEK. Excited for her now!! 😊
